One of the newest, more unique amenities at Eagles Nest—and throughout the High Country—is Boulder Park, a conservation area comprised of 10 acres of rock outcroppings and large granite boulders that are uniquely positioned for rock climbing, hiking, or simple relaxation. This park is located about one mile from the main entrance at an elevation that offers terrific views of Grandfather Mountain.
Double Eagle Lodge
This convenient amenity affords on-site lodging for guests or families building a home. The Double Eagle Lodge is located on the south side of the mountain, just down the road from the Great Camp, and features four beautifully appointed staterooms, including a family suite. The Lodge boasts some of the best profile views of Grandfather Mountain to be found in the entire region. At night, guests can look down and see the soft glow of nearby Banner Elk.
Located near the southern end of Eagles Nest is the picturesque Eagles Nest River Club—an exclusive gated entrance private club offering memberships to property owners at Eagles Nest. Located along the banks of the famous Elk River, the River Club grants members various amenities, including 2,000 feet of riverfront on one of the most coveted trophy trout fishing waterways on the East Coast. Members also have access to a bait-and-tackle shop and reclaimed wood lockers that can be purchased and used for storing fishing equipment and apparel. Access to the River Club depends on the membership of the home you are renting.
UTV/ATV & Hiking Trails
This is fast-becoming one of the most sought-after amenities amongst families living in the High Country—and amenity made all the more special because of its scarcity. In fact, we are one of the few communities in the region to not only offer UTV/ATV trails, but to have an extensive network of trails that offer scenic rides deep inside lush forests, over majestic ridge lines, and through fertile valleys. It’s exhilarating. It’s fun. It’s something your family will want to do again and again.
Nursery & Farm
One of the first things you notice about Eagles Nest is how healthy and vital the land is. Fed by numerous creeks and streams and blessed with a mild summer climate, the ground is fertile and healthy. It lends itself to a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables—from April to October. Even better, homeowners can take advantage of our bountiful crop that is provided by the Eagles Nest Nursery and Farm. During the summer months, families can select from a variety of fresh squash, tomatoes, peppers, and melons. And in the fall, the garden will unveil lettuce, carrots, kale, brussel sprouts, cabbage, beets, collards, and other cool-weather vegetables.
Eagles Nest Winery
This stunning facility is a reclaimed barn that was originally built in 1890 and stood on a family farm in Eastern Tennessee. The structure was carefully selected to complement the luxurious rustic aesthetic of Eagles Nest and is currently being meticulously converted into a Wedding & Event Facility, as well as a custom Winery. Construction is underway with a projected completion date of Spring 2019.
