Many years ago, I found what I believed was the most beautiful valley in the world.  The mountains were incredible and the river was the clearest blue imaginable.  Some time later, I was thrilled to bring a pair of dear friends to this same valley and show them the wonders that I had found.  While I was staring at the majesty in front of me, I heard their cries of joy.  When I turned to share in this beautiful sight, I was shocked to find them staring at the ground.  They decided they had found the most beautiful rocks they’d ever seen along the river and couldn’t care less about the mountains surrounding us.  That day, I learned that everyone’s “moment” is different… 

At Blue Ridge, we’ve been so privileged to share the great moments with so many guests over the past nearly twenty years.  For us, the joy of travel isn’t just seeing new places or experiencing the greatest opulence, but it’s creating the memories that will last until the next adventure.  For some guests, they’ve looked out on the St Johns Gorge while someone they loved slipped a ring on their finger…for others, they held someone close while they watched precious children catch fireflies on a summer night in Banner Elk…and some, sadly have shared their last great family celebration at one of our homes before traveling to different parts of the country to resume their “normal” lives.   We consider it the greatest of joys that we were able to play our small parts in these memories that are etched in family lore for years to come.  

For this reason, we have created the Blue Ridge NeverLost Family as a celebration of our guests and a way to let them know how much we appreciate their time with us.  This program is designed to help you create amazing memories for years to come, no matter how your life or your passions change, from trail running to rocking chairs, we want to be your shelter from the storm. 

For no matter where you roam, with Blue Ridge you will always have a home.  

In the immortal words of Tolkien, “All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost.  The old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost."
