Welcome to Tweetsie Den! This charming log cabin situated on a hillside just outside Boone is a perfect home base for your High Country adventures! 

The cabin offers a cozy, welcoming feel with hardwood floors and plush couches arranged around a stone woodburning fireplace. The kitchen has an eat-in counter and comes with all the basics you need for snacks and meals. Off the great room is a laundry room, a full bath with tub/shower, and a bedroom with two single Twin beds as well as a TV. Upstairs is the primary bedroom with a King bed and single Twin bed, and a private bath with shower. 

Outside, kids and dogs can play safely in the fenced in yard. Enjoy the ambience of the gas firetable on the deck on cool mountain evenings!

History buffs will surely enjoy learning that the cabin's driveway was once part of the old ET&WNC railroad line - the line home to Engine #12 that ran through our area in the 1930's tooting her high pitched steam whistle that earned her the nickname "Tweetsie". Guests today can still experience the magic of mountain trains by visiting "Tweetsie", now over 105 years old, at her namesake theme park Tweetsie Railroad! On a clear summer day when the wind is just right, you might even hear her whistle faintly echoing through the mountains.

Tweetsie Den is conveniently located just a few minutes west of exciting Boone off Highway 105.

- To Appalachian State University: 2.7 miles, 5 minutes 
- To downtown Boone: 3.5 miles, 8 minutes 
- To downtown Blowing Rock: 10.5 miles, 19 minutes 
- To the Blue Ridge Parkway (Hwy 321 access): 9.2 miles, 17 minutes
- To Appalachian Ski Mountain: 7.7 miles, 18 minutes 
- To Sugar Mountain Ski Resort: 11.4 miles, 20 minutes 
- To Hawksnest Tubing & Zipline: 9.7 miles, 18 minutes 
- To Beech Mountain Resort: 19.2 miles, 35 minutes 
- To Grandfather Mountain: 18 miles, 32 minutes 

IMPORTANT NOTES: 
- Tweetsie Den is pet friendly for one mature, well-trained dog 30 pounds or less. Thank you for observing this rule and not requesting exceptions. Pet fee is $25/nt & tax. 
- Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a fire starter for $25/night plus tax
- Check-in is after 4pm and Check-out is by 10am. 
- This home has a gravel driveway with capacity for 3 vehicles. 4WD or AWD is recommended for all homes during winter months (November-March) when traveling to the High Country. There is 1 step to enter the main level. 
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. Towels and linens will be provided for you.  We do not provide hair dryers. 
- The owner uses security cameras on the front and back doors of the cabin to monitor the exterior and ensure the home remains safe. No cameras are indoors. 
- Repeat guests of Tweetsie Den will receive a 5% discount for visiting again!
