Probably one of the most well appointed homes we've rented. Tough side road on the way to the house but 100% worth it. Rental company was efficient and great to work with. Highly recommend.

The Skytop lodge is truly a magical place. I stayed there with 5 other women as part of a retail trading women's retreat and cannot even begin to explain the transformation that occurred. When you walk into the home you are greeted with a view that will literally take your breath away. The pictures just simply do not serve it justice. The house is perfectly equipped to host a gathering or retreat or family reunion. And there was a bonus trail close to the property that leads you down to 2 small waterfalls. That was such a nice surprise. The drive down into the property is a bit bumpy - and I understand the need for all wheel drive. Getting down is no problem, but you certainly need that AWD to kick in on the way up. The best part of the stay was the magical sunrises in the morning. I am sure this is in the description of the property, and I must have overlooked it. But to experience the sunrise over the blue ridge mountains, with the trickle of the stream in the background, the occasional bird song while sipping your coffee is just one of wonder. There were minor hiccups - ice maker did not work and the downstairs fireplace was not working during our stay. But the management company let us know and had a bag of ice for us. And we spent most our time on the main floor anyway, and that fireplace was wonderful. And the place is perfectly appointed and very clean. Needless to say, I will be back.

The property exceeded our expectations and the pictures do not do it justice. The views from every room were stunning. The house was exceptionally clean and stocked with anything you need. Four wheel drive is definitely a bonus since the road to the house is not paved. We will most certainly stay here again.

Quite often the mountain homes with the best views come with the most challenging driving to arrive at them. This house was very nice, roomy, well appointed, clean, and had amazing views. The drive on 221 can mess with your head, BUT the road leading to the house is definitely a challenge. It was well worth it and had some of the best views we have experienced. We would like to return.

Incredible house for a family get together. House was large enough to hold us all comfortably and the views are amazing. One of the best rental houses we've ever stayed in. Would definitely rent again!

The house was perfect..enjoyable to be in and use. The views were of course our favorite. I cooked for the gang of 9 for the week were there and the Kitchen was more enjoyable to work in than my own ..and have beautiful views the whole time I am cooking. Really relaxing and very clean. thank you for good service. Oh, the road was no problem for us at all, but it was dry and clear, but I had feared the road and all went well.

Incredible property, even more beautiful in person than in the photos. Don't be nervous about the drive --- yes, you will likely need 4WD, but it's worth it!! The house is pristine, room for our large families all put together, and the views are spectacular!! Can't imagine going back to Blowing Rock and staying anywhere else.

We had an excellent time at this property. It was gorgeous, spacious, super clean, cozy, and incredibly well appointed. Since we were traveling with a 2 year old, we'd hoped to do a fair amount of cooking in the home and we were beyond thrilled to see how well appointed the kitchen was - truly everything we needed was there! The views are breathtaking and the house is so comfortable and inviting. It is a little far out and kind of tough to get to (4wd is definitely a plus, the roads in the neighborhood are STEEP) but 20 min outside of BR and Linville made getting out and doing things fairly easy. We'd absolutely stay here again!

Great house...and even better views! High quality, newer construction. Hiking trail nearby to two waterfalls (1 mi., medium grade). 40+ mile SSE view. Game room, hot tub. Heed the 4WD requirement.

Breathtaking drive up to the house from Blowing Rock. What really blew us away was the view from the house - stunning!!! Cleanliness was really a pleasure as well as all of the amenities in and around the property! We had a wonderful weekend in the mountains. All the rooms have great privacy too- was really a wonderful property. Thank you!

The VIEW!!! You'll be hard pressed to find a house with a better view. We felt relaxed immediately! The hot tub even shares in the awesome views. Very well appointed house and super clean. Truly superb property. You won't be disappointed. Heed the 4WD warning. You'll need it for sure. The internet is very slow but this isn't the owners fault as there is only one provider in the area and they have data caps. If you rent towards the end of a month you will likely be significantly restricted. But the mountains are about getting away from it all so just plan accordingly. Excellent communication and super easy check in and out.

A beautiful stay, gorgeous views, highly prepared for any situation. Everything they had to offer was luxurious, to the dishes and glasses, to the beds and bedding. The fireplaces were a wonderful touch and easy to use. The Wi-Fi was not forgiving however, so definitely expect to disconnect and spend lots of quality time with the people you are with. You can use your phones however the connection there's nothing to write home about. So close to so many hikes and the wonderful town of blowing rock! We would definitely recommend and would stay again. Please watch your step walking out to the upper balcony!

This property was absolutely beautiful!! The pictures do not do it justice. The views from every room were incredible. The place was super clean and the kitchen had every kind of pot or pan or gadget you needed to cook pretty much anything. We would highly recommend this place if you have a large family. We were 5 couples and each couple had their own bedroom space and their own bathroom. The fireplaces were great and the heat worked very well! The house is also stocked with plenty of games even an arcade game. We had a great time in this house and we will definitely be back! Remember to make sure you have 4 wheel drive if you visit in winter. It was snowing quite a bit while we were there and we were glad we had the 4 wheel drive.

We had a great stay at Skytop retreat over the holidays. The property was just as described with beautiful views and accommodations. It was such a nice bonus that they had decorated for the holidays. This is the best equipped kitchen I have ever had in a rental. Not only enough pans and dishes to make full meals, but everything was high quality in beautiful condition. The kids made great use of the hot tub and the game room. The gas log fireplaces were so easy to use and gave the whole home a cozy feel. Blue Ridge made the process very easy providing the details we needed in a timely fashion. The branded welcome gift on arrival was such a nice touch. We would look again to rent this property or another of theirs in the future.

Our check-in was smooth. House was very clean and looked just as the pictures. Fully stocked with everything needed. Actually pretty amazing! We did have an issue with the water heat/pressure but they came out the very next day and fixed. Enjoyed our stay!
