The location worked out so well. We wanted to spend extra time prior to an App State admissions tour and this was close to so many trails, antiquing and King Street. We loved sitting on the deck in the mornings. You can't go wrong with this house.

We had a great time staying for new years with our friends and dogs! The house is lovely and comfortable and so cozy for the cold weather! The yard is slightly tough for taking the dogs out to use the bathroom but despite the steep hills, the neighborhood is easily walkable.

The rental was exactly as described and very clean and kitchen well stocked with all the utensils you need. Gas range was a plus! Description of property and pictures were exactly as advertised! Starter kits with hand soaps, shampoo, and personal care items were a nice touch!

I took my daughter and a couple of her friends for a weekend getaway to celebrate her 16th birthday. This property is perfect for families with teens. They had their own space downstairs where they could hang out and all be close together. The house is in a gated community golf community so it was quiet and secure, and you are less than 15 minutes from the shops and restaurants of downtown Boone. The rental company provided so much information ahead of the trip so I felt adequately prepared, and they were very responsive to my emails when I had questions.

We loved our stay in this cozy mountain home. Perfectly situated to visit Boone, Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, Linnville, Blowing Rock or Sugar Mountain. The gourmet kitchen was welcoming and made preparing meals so easy and enjoyable. The home was well appointed and had many comforts of home. The listing is fully representative of what you experience. It was clean and came equipped with basic starters supplies too! The neighborhood was peaceful and gated so we felt very secure. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the pet friendly accommodations too! We would definitely stay here again. If you are looking for a quiet mountain retreat or a convenient place to stay for hiking, golfing or snow skiing this is the ideal place! Thank you for sharing your home.

Peace of Mind was a fantastic place to spend our 4 day "boy's weekend". This house was truly perfect for what we wanted. Big kitchen, awesome wrap around porch, neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. Plus only a 15 minute drive to Boone and Blowing Rock.

My husband's dad hasn't been back to the mountains in 20+ years, so to have all of us together in the mountains were absolutely beautiful. The cabin was exactly how it was listed and having the name Peace of Mind is exactly what we experience. Very peaceful and a beautiful place. It wasn't too high up for our mother, even though she wouldn't look down. Our mom is more of a beach person but wanted to come because she knows how much our dad loves the mountains. But the look and excitement on our dad's face is truly something that we will treasure forever. We truly did enjoy everything and our parents took a lot of pictures. At one point we didn't understand why there was no TV in the room where the kitchen is located but quickly found out the reason. That room gave us a time to reflect back as well as look forward to the future, it gave us the time we needed as a family to really be connected to one another through conversation. Thank you again for allowing our family to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Excellent experience using BRMR! From reservation forward, always clear communication. Kept us up to date on everything. Directions easy to follow and the house was amazing! THey even checked in with us on Day 2 to see if all was well and if we needed anything. Will not hesitate to use them again and again!!

Peace of Mind is a hidden gem in the gated community of Hound Ears. A lovely mountain home that has clearly been renovated throughout the bedrooms, baths, and especially the kitchen. Nicely appointed home with all the essentials for a family vacation. It was nice for our grown children to each have their own private baths in the downstairs bedrooms. Very private location set in the woods of Hound Ears. Very convenient to both Boone and Banner Elk attractions.

Our stay at Peace Of Mind exceeded our expectatations! Over the past 15 years we have stayed in some nice places across the state of NC, but Peace Of Mind has been the best thus far. We felt safe and secure being in this gated community. The security personnel were great and we stopped several times to chat with them. The accommodations has set a new standard for us!

Great area, close to Boone and ASU. Beautiful neighborhood. Beautiful home, loved the open concept of the kitchen, living area. Kitchen is beautiful and so functional- easy to get spoiled in this area. Appreciated the separate den area downstairs. With college age kids, would love the addition of a fire pit or hot tub at this property.

We drove thirteen hours to get here from Miami FL and it was worth it to enjoy the splendor of winter! We went sledding behind the house, tubing, ice skating and snowboarding at sugar. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we ate all of our meals and spent our downtime here. The small town of Boone and ‘Peace of Mind’ gave us so many beautiful memories that will forever be treasured. We can’t wait to come back!
