Honey Bear Retreat

This cabin was amazing! It is off the road a bit and very peaceful. Such a cozy place to stay! And a great location to get to downtown West Jefferson, Todd and Boone.

The Honey Bear Retreat was a perfect get away for our family. Located far enough away to feel isolated at the same time close enough to enjoy the small town of West Jefferson. The house is clean, well stocked, and beautiful inside and out. Trust Waze as there is not a street sign for the road. The hot tub is enormous, the decor perfect and the sound of the stream is calming. We have already started are planning our return trip! Thank you!!

This cabin was perfect for a long weekend getaway for my husband and I. Great location! Private but close and easy to get downtown west Jefferson. Cabin was very clean, we enjoyed the hot tub and the sound of the creek in the backyard. We will definitely return to this one again.

Beautiful home in very quiet location. Ok that we had to go out in the yard to use cell phone as the peace and quiet was worth the inconvenience. By the way the housekeeper for this cabin does an excellent job. Everything was clean and neat. Thanks to all involved for an enjoyable and cool temperature visit to the mountains. Thank you

We liked the property. Our kids especially loved the stream behind the house and spent a part of every day playing there. We where surprised with the gravel road so maybe mention it in the description of the property. The property management was good and responsive

We had a great time and the cabin exceeded our expectations!! The views were beautiful. It was very private with loads of fun things to do right there on the property. The house was also stocked to the hills with everything we needed. Will def be back!!! Thank you for a great family vacay spot where fantastic memories were made!!

We enjoyed our weekend at Acorn Retreat. We actually enjoyed it more than we thought we would. It rained and the grass was wet so we didn't get to play outdoor activities that were offered like horseshoes and badminton. We still had a lot to keep us busy. The children loved what they called the secret path that led across a creek to hammocks. We enjoyed the fire pit for making hotdogs during the day and smores at night. The children also enjoyed playing the large wooden connect four- game. We also played corn hole under the covered porch when it was raining. The hot tub was a big plus for the adults. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed.

We loved our time here at Acorn Retreat. The cabin was just what we were looking for. We were surprised by the long unpaved road to the house but it added to the ambience. (The GPS did not find it) The area was much more remote than we realized but we r adventurous and do not mind driving to find activities! We would definitely stay here and recommend it to others. The outside games, hot tub, hammocks, and fire pit were wonderful. We had everything we needed at Acorn Retreat. Unfortunately it was not peak color season as we had thought. Other than that, it was perfect for a short fall break! - (This home has since changed its name - BRMR)
