A beautiful view of the Watauga river that was easy to access. The cabin had everything we needed to grill/cook and was close to an Ingles grocery store. Easy to spot wildlife. I would advise double bagging your garbage and not putting it in the trash container until your checkout date. We felt at home and plan to return in the future.

We had a great stay at the Draggin Fly. The weather was horrible (cold and storming) but the sounds of the river and rain made for a peaceful experience at the house. The houses next door are pretty close but it feels private when you’re outside and in the back. The neighbors dogs (mentioned before) weren’t an issue at all. The road to get to the house is a gravel one lane road which made us really nervous coming and going, but lucky for us not a ton of people live on the road and we never ended up running into someone going the opposite direction. We’d love to come back when the weather calls for more sun so we can enjoy the river a bit more!

Had a great stay here and would definitely come back. Perfect location for exploring the area, and if you want to fish or otherwise enjoy the river, this is amazing access to a beautiful part of the Watauga. As far as larger rental companies go we found Blue Ridge Rentals very communicative and helpful. We cooked quite a bit in the cabin and were very comfortable throughout our stay. The only downside is being right across the river from NC 105 but it really wasn't a big deal. One other note is while there is A/C and heat, neither are central, so in very warm or cold months you do need to do a bit of temperature maintenance. Again, it didn't end up being an issue for us at all.

Our cabin rented from Blue Ridge Realty was so homey and comfy. We can't wait to come back. This year we had snow which made our stay even more special! We've never had any problems renting through Blue Ridge!

Beautiful cabin, would absolutely visit here again. We came right after a period of snow and ice, and when we encountered a problem getting to the house due to ice they immediately sent someone to help us out. Loved our stay, thank you so much for a wonderful weekend!

This cabin is in the perfect location. Close to everything we wanted to do and on a beautiful river. It was plenty big enough for our large family and our dog. I would recommend this listing to anyone and would definitely return.

Cabin was clean and check-in was easy. Great location on the Watauga river. Good for fishing. Very close to restaurants in Boone. Nice private road that leads to cabin. Look forward to my next trip there.

There were six adults for our stay. The cabin was spacious and well equipped. I was skeptical about the window a/c units at first, but they kept the entire cabin cool and comfortable. Our favorite part was the river access behind the cabin... We had such a good time! We were pleased with our stay. Just a heads up, the driveway in is very narrow.

Great place, they have added a few window A/C units but we barely needed them. Sleeping with the windows open and the sound of the river was great, as well as the sound of the rain on the tin roof. We intend to return in the fall.

The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Our two grandsons enjoyed a dip in the river, and several of us enjoyed the hot tub. The arcade machine was fun for some of the grands. We used the grill one night for supper. We played board games and cards, and would have used the fire pit had it not been for the drizzle. The cabin was just a short drive from downtown Boone with shopping and restaurants. We would love to stay at Draggin' Fly again!

Draggin Fly was great for our family. Really nice to be practically on the stream - very relaxing to hear it. Good location - convenient to Boone and other towns, but SO close to so many great trails. Blue Ridge was very responsive to our needs, too. Would definitely stay in their properties again.

Draggin Fly was amazing! We all thoroughly enjoyed the mountain retreat! While the goal was to ski, I think the whole gang had just as much fun if not more enjoying Draggin Fly. The kids can't stop raving about the trip, playing on the rocks of the river and enjoying family time around the fire pit. It was indeed a great place to remember "Papa" our father that past away in September. A true lifelong fisherman, and fisher of men! We know he was with us in spirit enjoying the Draggin Fly experience!!

The cabin is adorable! Very cute decor and the creek out back is fantastic! We had so much fun climbing on the rocks. Great location - close to stores and only 15 minutes to Hawksnest. Highly recommend!!

We rented this cabin to recognize my Daughter's college graduation. My Family and I enjoyed staying here so much. It was so clean and well stocked! Upon arrival it was very welcoming and cozy. We packed up our entire kitchen as we planned to cook over the weekend and this place had everything we could have asked for. After seeing the staircase my daughter immediately said I have got to go buy a baby gate then she opened the closet and there were 4 baby gates! The owners really have thought of everything! Thank you so much for letting us stay at your cabin! We are already discussing our next trip!

We had a wonderful time! Stayed with extended family - 5 adults and 2 small children - and everyone loved the house! The stairs were a bit tricky for the kids, my almost 5 year old was able to navigate them safely, but we opted to carry the 2 year old. There were some safety gates in the closet but we didn't need to use them. Kids had a blast exploring the cabin and my husband and father LOVED having the river right there for fly fishing! We are already planning to come back in the spring. Thank you!

Have stayed at Draggin Fly several times over the past 14 or so years, but this is the first time through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. Have rented other cabins from them in the past, and just like this one, absolutely loved It! The staff were so helpful. Got there a little ealier than expected but went ahead and was able to get the keys. The cabin was very clean and had everything they claimed it would have! Great friendly service! Will rent from them again!
