Day Dreamin'

We were pleasantly surprised with how updated the property was, and it was in a great location between Blowing Rock and Boone. There was plenty of room for the three couples to spread out and having our own bathroom was a plus. In addition, it was very clean, and the start up supplies were a nice touch. Watching the family of deer across the street as we sat around the fire pit at dusk topped it off!

We really felt at home during our stay at Day Dreamin'. The house feels very much like a HOME, not just a rental house. The kitchen is the most stocked kitchen I've encountered in a rental. The downstairs area was great for the kids to have some room to spread out and have their "own space." The back porch was perfect for morning coffee. The location is really excellent, very easy to get to places quickly including hikes/parks off the Blue Ridge Parkway (recommend Green Knob and Julian Price Park), downtown Blowing Rock (they have an excellent park for kids and the Glen Burney Trail), the grocery store, restaurants, e.g. Check out the stream and nature trail at the bottom of the mountain- my husband went fishing in the stream, kids took their shoes off and waded, we walked the trail and got a treat at the Birdies' trailer and read books by the stream from the little library box that was there. All that was an easy 5 min drive to the end of the road!

My family of 8 adults had a great time during our stay at Day Dreamin' (formerly Cook Ridge Mountain House). The house looks small when you pull up, but it is quite spacious on the inside, and really, the lower level suite with it's own kitchen, living room, and deck (and the game room) is really spectacular. All the rooms were a nice size, both kitchens were really well-stocked with everything you need. It was meticulously clean. The only thing to note is the water pressure (at least in the downstairs shower and sink) is pretty weak, but it was manageable. And the heated kitchen & bathroom floor made up for that! We had good communication with the owner and the management company before and during our stay. We were in town for App State graduation and it was really in a perfect location between campus, downtown Blowing Rock, and the Parkway. We'd definitely stay there again (though not in winter because it was up quite a hill and my car might not make it if it was snowy or too wet). Thank you for sharing your house with us!

The Airbnb was fabulous. It was clean and conveniently located between Blowing Rock and Boone. Anytime I communicated with the host, they responded immediately. We loved this AirBnb for my family getaway in the Mountains. We hope to return.

Couldn't get any closer to Samaritan's Purse! we stayed here while we volunteered. great layout for 2 families, even had 2 kitchens. pretty clean, kids enjoyed the playground. We didn't want to leave.

The stay at this beautiful spacious house in Blowing Rock was perfect. We stayed with 2 other couples and there was plenty of space to move around and have many spaces to ourselves as well as places to hang out together. We especially loved the rocking chairs on the back deck and the firepit area. They were an excellent host, always responsive and certainly maintained the property very very well. Highly recommend.

This was the first time staying at an Airbnb and it will not be the last time. I’m very particular about cleanliness and this house was spotless! We came to visit Tweetsie Railroad with our two small kids and it was less than 3 miles away, so it was the perfect location! I wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts were amazing and reached out a few times to make sure all was well.

This house was beautiful. It was warm and inviting, very homey and comfortable. The home and outside areas were very clean and well-kept as well as beautiful. The only problems we had were with spotty internet, but they worked with us to try to resolve that. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back!

What a wonderful home to stay at! It was perfect for our family trip with 5 adults and 2 kids. We all had plenty of space and privacy. It was also an adorable home, very clean and in a nice location. The yard space was also a big plus for us. The kids loved the playground area. Would 100% stay here again! Very close to restaurants and stores but you have the mountain feel on the back patios!

The place is great! And we arrived at a great time, this was just after the coldest of the 'bomb cyclone' where we see ice/snow going up on the mountain and on the small road to the place. The snow added some excitement for the kids as they enjoyed the view during the trip. The host were great! They did alert us ahead of time regarding some issues due to the recent cold event but they took care of it before we arrived. We arrived a little early and the place was still being cleaned, but they did a great job. The bedroom size is good, it was well-furnished and arrangement was well thought off. The kids' enjoyed the foosball. The kitchens were very nice and we had no issues using the laundry/dryer, seems to be new or well-maintained. I did not get to enjoy the view around the house but it was cozy, if you like the mountains, you will enjoy it. The place was about 10mins away to groceries and dining areas, and also same distance away to App Ski mtn.

This place is awesome! Setup is great for 2 families and has plenty of space. The house was very clean and had everything we needed (and more). Outdoor amenities (porches, grill, firetable, playset) were great as well. Would definitely stay again.

This home was one of the best airbnbs I've ever stayed in! We traveled with our 3 & 5 year old children and the house was super child friendly- they loved the swing set! My husband and I really enjoyed our nights relaxing on the back porch, which gives major treehouse vibes, as well as the fire pit which is gas powered. The kitchen was completely stocked, house was so clean and we just felt so at home there!

We found this to be an ideal place to stay while on a short vacation to the mountains in North Carolina. Check-in was simple. The house was very well provisioned. It was roomy enough that we never felt cramped. There were two of us, but a third person could have slept on the sofa bed. There were plenty of towels, and extra bedding. It had both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig for anyone who needed these. We will try to stay here the next time we visit this area.

LOVED this place! The house is stocked with everything you need for a great stay, long or short. You're also in close proximity to the local ski resort, as well as Downtown Boone. Heated floors were a MAJOR plus in the winter. And bed was really comfortable, too.

The place was perfect for a weekend getaway! Located between Boone and Blowing Rock, close enough to 321 but far enough to be in the mountains. The kitchen is stocked for tea and coffee lovers with a drip coffee maker, a Keurig and an electric tea pot. There is a full kitchen to enjoy cooking. The heated floors were great for those cold mornings. Being tired from a busy week, we enjoyed a movie on Netflix the first night. The Smart TV has every app you may use for viewing purposes. It’s perfect for a couple enjoying a quick weekend away!

Fantastic AirBnB experience - the house is about a 10-minute drive to downtown Boone. It's very cute and nice on the inside with a well stocked kitchen and comfortable King sized bed. We visited in January when it was cold and the house has base heaters with was a nice way to stay cozy and warm. A snow storm came in during our stay and the host was very communicative and accommodating. 10/10 would recommend!

This is the perfect place for a couple or small family! We absolutely adore this cute house. You can tell it is taken care of and is presented so nicely. The best compliment we could give is that its the kind of place you don't worry about your kids playing on the floor or us not wearing shoes! Seriously everything feels lovely but homey. Everything you could need is provided. The only thing i didn't find was laundry detergent. But most people like their own anyways. The bed was extremely comfortable. And even the lay down sofa wasn't bad with the provided topper. Husband approved on nights the baby was up. The view is splendid from every window! But with the view comes a climb up a little mountain. But our grandcaravan did great. We really enjoyed breaking in the new monopoly board! Oh and the little swing set was a nice surprise. Already planning next years trip

If you’re in search of a family vacation or even a romantic getaway near the Boone area, THIS IS THE PLACE!!! It’s perfectly tucked away from the busyness but also close enough to all the fun activities. We stayed for just a couple of days and it felt like home so much, I didn’t want to leave! Everything in this home was spotless and just as the photos have advertised. The heated kitchen/bathroom floor was the bee’s knees and I really wish I could have taken the bedroom mattress home with me!!!! ? We look forward to staying here again for more vacations to come.

This is a perfect, quaint, cozy vacation spot! The bnb is beautiful, it feels spacious, it’s very comfortable, and everything worked just right. The location is excellent - about 5 min to downtown Blowing Rock and 15 min to Boone. The bnb is perched on the top of a hill with some hairpin turns, so if you’re from Florida like me and my boyfriend are, be prepared! ?. The hosts were excellent communicators and were very kind. We highly recommend this place and would definitely return!

Great view, well appointed for a comfortable stay, if you’re staying in the winter season don’t forget the heated floors in the kitchen and bath. The fire pit is gas which makes an easy evening out on the porch. Pictures are accurate. Very friendly host with great ideas.
