Cruizin' River Dreams

We chose Cruizin' River for our family vacation and couldn't be more satisfied! The home is beautiful with that classic cabin feel and TONS of room to accommodate the 10 of us (to include 2 small children) there are plenty of bed/sleep options, a lower level with games/game system and of course THE RIVER AND THE VIEWS. We all loved having the various decks to hang out on and the walk down to the river is short and easy (we were nervous with kids, but the yard is flat and it was easy to maneuver to get into the river) What a gorgeous place to be and visit! The home was clean, well stocked and I cannot express enough how helpful and kind Blue Ridge Rentals was throughout the process. We are already planning our vacation for next summer.

We stayed here to spend some time tubing on the new river. House had many tubes, as well as air pump to inflate them. We had a great time!

Truly enjoyed staying at Cruzin River Dreams. Everything was wonderful and my family enjoyed our time there. We spend a lot of time playing in the basement and absolutely loved the gas logs and hot tube. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for some time away from it all, where you can soak in the view and relax. ?? the cabin is very clean, beautiful and offers everything you need minus your groceries. I'm so happy we stayed

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay here. 10 family members and 1 Yorkie had plenty of room. Everything was neat and clean; and the sleeping options were more than adequate. Kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. Gas grill and charcoal grill gave us choices on grilling out. I must say the game room was the greatest highlight for the 4 kids. They started and ended each day in the game room and all of them became better pool, ping-pong, and air hockey players. It also kept them away from the electronic devices. They loved the hot-tub and used it regardless of outside temperatures. During a brief lift of the outdoor burn ban, we had a fire in the fire pit and cooked smores. The river was cold but inviting so my grandson put on his hip waders and crossed the river several times. He selected a flat rock, painted it and left it on the hearth with the rocks left by previous guests. The location was great, and we easily made short trips to Boone, Blowing Rock, the Parkway and our favorite – West Jefferson. As is customary in the mountains in the late fall, we experienced sunny days, windy days, cold days, and rainy days, but the weather did not interfere with our exploration of the area or our enjoyment of the house. My wife (the matriarch of our family) summed up our stay this way, “of all the houses where we have stayed in the mountains, this is the house I want to come back to again and again.” And when Grandmoma is happy, everyone is happy.

We loved our stay at Cruzin' River Dreams and our experience with the rental agency. We enjoyed the freedom to check in midweek, the property was available EARLY and was very clean and well appointed. The house had many recreation items available and our family found many opportunities to stay busy or just relax at the property. We used the Guest information book on property to find several amazing hikes within an hour drive. We spent time on the river and rode bikes from the house each day. We enjoyed the friendliness of everyone we met locally. Our only disappointment was that we only went to the local restaurant, Riverside Restaurant, only 1 time during our stay. They have the most amazing french fries!

It was Heaven and better than what I expected. All the amenities were a hit with the kids and whole family. We made use of the full game room and hot tub. Also built a campfire by the river one night. There was a Cornhole set and various ball and racket sets. Even a cooler to use to carry down to the water. Floats were provided for tubing on the river if it was a summer stay. I was worried if there would be enough kitchen utensils and appliances but there was so much we didn't need anything! Even crockpots and a countertop electric double burner as well as a gas grill we used one night. Satellite TV and internet worked fine. Very clean and bed & furniture so comfy. We had to have someone come light a pilot light but they were there asap. It was already late in the evening but they still came to help us. We asked for more towels and plenty were dropped off. Even had a washer and dryer which was a huge plus. It was so quiet and peaceful. The sky was clear and the stars bright! I will definitely be coming back. We enjoyed our Christmas get-away. Ages 6 months to 74 yrs and everyone had something to enjoy. Easy to get to and close to many attractions but never have to leave as there is plenty at the cabin to keep you entertained.

This cabin was perfect for my weekend fishing trip with my father and my son. The trout fishing in the New River right behind the cabin was good and there are several lakes close by that we also hit.

Blue Ridge continues to be our “go to” company for rentals in Ashe County. Todd is our favorite place because we love to ride bikes, tube down the river and, occasionally kayak. The agents are helpful, friendly and very courteous. They take extra care with assisting me with my families. Including our furry family. The maintenance crew is wonderful and quick to respond. Thank you for all the help!

Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals is a great rental company. Very accommodating and friendly. Has a great selection of rentals to choose from. We stayed at Cruising River Dreams and it had all the amenities you could ask for. The house is on a beautiful piece of property. Would definitely stay there again.

My family had a fantastic time staying at Cruizin' River Dreams. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was extremely easy to work with and provided us with all the information needed to access and use the house. The house itself was clean and had plenty of towels, linens, and pillows. My son's thoroughly enjoyed the game room at the house and all of the amenities that came with it. We would definitely book through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals again.

This was a great place to have my Covid safe 40th birthday celebration. There was plenty of room for my and my brothers family (total of 9 people). The kids had a blast in the basement full of games and running around the huge backyard. I enjoyed the relaxation of the hot tub and the fire pit at night. Highly recommend for a family getaway!

The cabin was fantastic. Lots to do to keep a big family occupied and entertained. Access to the river was a plus. It snowed two of the days we were there and made for beautiful scenery. Kids want to come back in the summer to take advantage of the river and other amenities. Thanks for a fun, relaxing weekend getaway for our family.

We enjoyed out stay. Unfortunately the river was a little too high and air a little to cold for much tubing. But we were able to fish and still enjoy it. Close to Boone and Blowing rock. Basement game room was huge hit with the kids. WiFi was a little slow for working remotely and for the kids doing school, but we made it work. Planning on coming back. House was great, hot tub was nice, management company had wonderful communication.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved being right on the New River. It was great to have tubes included we put in at the park and floated down to the house. There is a great game room downstairs including pool table, air hockey, ping pong, and Foosball. The hot tub was an added bonus. It was not hot when we arrived but we called the management team and they fixed it the next moring.

Perfect location! Only 10 min to grocery store and 15 min to Boone for all your essentials, yet you feel like you are miles away at the cabin. The owners provide you with wonderful amenities to keep everyone entertained, especially the kids! Great location on the river, nice and relaxing for the kids and we had lots of fun tubing. A five star vacation!

Our family had an amazing time at the cabin! We enjoyed playing in the game room for hours, playing in the very cold river (kids still loved it), and there was plenty of room for all of us (2 adults/4 kids). The views are beautiful! We had an issue with the pilot light going out on the heater downstairs, and they had someone out within a few hours to fix it! We cannot wait to go back! The cabin was clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more!

This is our 2nd cabin with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals and we absolutely loved our stay yet again! Cruizin'River Dreams was the most delightful cabin to stay in. The basement had a pool table, foosball, ping pong, air hockey, bicycles and a TV for anyone that wanted to watch the big game. The entire cabin was VERY clean and beautifully decorated! The land around the cabin was stunning. Enjoyed listening to the river in the background. LOVED every second of our stay. We will definitely return. Lovely place. Created tons of family memories.... Grateful!

This is our second stay here. We love this cabin and the fact that it’s a little off the beaten path. It’s the perfect place If you’re looking to be close to town but still get the feel of being in a cabin in the mountains. We plan on returning next October for our sons birthday once again!

We had a wonderful week here. Our group ranged in age 6 to 75. There was fun for everyone. We did leave a list of a few suggestions at checkout, but mostly everything we even thought about needing is at the cabin. I am attaching some pictures. The game room is great as well as equipment for outdoor fun. As the grandkids left, stopped to play one more game. It is ideal for a very peaceful, restful fun filled vacation. Marge carroll

We enjoyed out stay at the homes. This is our 4th or 5th year renting one or the other, of these cabins. We rented both, this year, as our family's needs have grown. It was a very nice experience for us all. I want to thank the owners for allowing us to bring our four paw family members. They get noisy once and away, but we work very hard to keep their noise to a minimum. And, to keep everything as clean and neat as we would want our home. We plan to do this again, next year, if you will allow us. Thanks again. We enjoyed our week, there. We were home only two days before I had emails asking "was it time to go back".

What a beautiful view of the river! We wanted a place to just relax and unwind and this was the place to do just that. The game room brought the family together and had many laughs over the arcade, ping pong and foosball. Now we want a game room back home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to veg out and kick back and relax. DirecTV is awesome and a little unexpected. We didn’t want to leave the comforts of home too much. This place offered perfect balance. Thank you for renting your awesome place to us!
