Bear Necessities was an excellent getaway in beautiful Banner Elk. This was our second time staying and we will definitely be back. We loved having the fenced in yard for our dog, and communication with management was helpful & easy. Thank you!

This cabin was amazing and gorgeous. Loved and enjoyed my stay having the opportunity to be at a100% cabin. Everything was cleaned. I also love the good messages they had around the walls. If you want to stay at a cabin this is your best option , I promise you wont regret it.

This was a perfect spot to host a July 4th getaway with friends and family. The kitchen is amazingly stocked and had labels so you'd know where to put stuff back. The hot tub was wonderful, beds comfy…thumbs up!!!

The house is great. Hot tub and fire place is really nice. Only downside for us is that it is up far in the mountains and we had to leave early due to a winter storm coming in.

The cabin was everything that we expected! Even nicer than the pictures, would love to stay here again. In the winter the driveway can definitely be a problem so plan accordingly

We had an extraordinary time at the cabin. It was the perfect way to end 2020. It provided the perfect setting for our family to disconnect, relax, and enjoy each other’s company. Luckily, it had snowed a great deal before our arrival and our two young children were able to see and play in show for the first time in their lives. We spent days playing in it, having snowball fights, making snow men and just plain exploring in “the forest.” We had so much fun! It has been such a refreshing change in pace. We would love to return next year.

Wow! What a weekend full of relaxing. We had a wonderful time at this house. It was stocked with everything we needed and the hot tub was so relaxing. This is a beautiful house with lots of creative details that make it a home. We hope to visit again in the years to come.

This is our second family ski vacation and we really enjoyed the cabin. The driveway was steep but we became pros. The hot tub was a nice place to relax after a long day on the slopes. This is our first time to NC and what an introduction! We had the best time in your cabin! Thank you for the nice getaway, we will be back

Really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin had everything we needed. The fence yard was great for the dog (I didn’t have to walk him!) Plenty of activities to enjoy for us flatlanders! Looking forward to coming back again for a different season.

Had an awesome time at the cabin this weekend. We traveled down with the goal of exploring North Carolina. We accomplished in in the comfort of this home. We enjoyed a beautiful hike on the Blue Ridge. The warm weather was terrific after the harsh winter we have had.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. Great design, spacious and very comfy and cozy. We loved the fireplace, and enjoyed the hot tub. We played pool. We got to enjoy skiing on Sugar Mountain and tubing. We ate at the Banner Elk Café and went to Boone and walked through town. We visited the Mast General Store and ate family style at the Daniel Boone Inn. We only regret we cannot stay a few days longer. Thanks for sharing this great cabin!

We had a great family trip visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains and enjoying this cozy cabin. The cabin was a perfect location for all the activities we wanted to do and was full of fun games for evenings on the deck. We would love to return!

It’s not often you find a place that you can immediately settle into like your own home. It was just that for all of us. It’s even harder to find a place so well set up for our “children” (our pups). From the fence yard to nice bowls, we all could instantly relax and enjoy your wonderful cabin. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place in the mountains and we look forward to our next stay.

We had a wonderful cabin experience here. Our two families thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful amenities in the cabin. The kids had a great time in the hot tub and playing pool. It was a pleasure to cook food in your very well-equipped kitchen. All in all, a very comfortable stay. The kids are begging for “one more day.” Will surely visit again.

What a wonderful way to get Spring Break started! The weather was cold and showy. Lots of amazing memories, making smores, kids seeing snow for the first time, playing games, snow tubing, sledding, Appletree Farm (highly recommend), horseback riding, family dinners, went to the Mast General Store and enjoyed dinner at The Banner Elk Cafe. Your cabin in the perfect place! We would love to come back soon.

Drove up for a good NC Mountain get away. Loved the cabin and fireplace! So cozy! Had a weekend full of new memories made and sharing old memories as friends. Came for skiing, it was warm and raining, but great cabin. My grandsons stayed busy with the pool table and hot tub. The cabin was so cozy. I liked the décor, especially the upstairs bedroom and bath. Great place!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in your wonderful cabin. Our family of 8 was able to celebrate the holidays in a fun and relaxing way. We loved the hot tub with a view, played multiple games of pool, and also played Trivial Pursuit and Scattergories. We made lots of coffee, and cooked family meals every day. The cabin had just enough space so that we all could hang out in the same place, or spread out and relax. The beds were super comfy, and so was the furniture. We also loved all of the Christmas decorations! It even snowed our last night here which was beautiful. Thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Thanks for a great vacation. Our family was all able to come together to beautiful NC. The cabin was perfect. It was warm and inviting. The decorations and the extra touches (Christmas tree, lights, blankets) made us feel right at home. The fence yard was great for the dogs. They enjoyed the vacation too! We went skiing, tubing and hiking. We visited Flat Top Brewery and The Peddlin’ Pig. The only negative was the steep driveway in winter. Thanks for a wonderful place to bring our family together for the holidays!

We had such a great time on our little family get away to the mountains. The cabin was beyond anything we could have imagined. It had everything we needed, super comfortable beds, plenty of space (it was just four of us). And the views were amazing, made our stay very relaxing. Even our dog loved it. The location is perfect! We had an amazing trip. We had to evacuate from Charleston, SC due to Hurricane Matthew. What a great place to escape to. We enjoyed fires every night, soaked in the hot tub, and cooked family meals every night. We went to Octoberfest at Sugar Mountain and enjoyed the music and jump castles. We also hiked to Elk River Falls, highly recommended easy hike. The dogs enjoyed the yard and the children enjoyed the bunk room. We would love to return next year!

My husband and I came here for a few days in celebration of our 50th anniversary. We love the serene setting and incredible cabin! The house is furnished beautifully and comfortably, and the craftsmanship is just superb. As a thank you for your hospitality, I left you a little oil painting I did of your house. This was a perfect cabin for our family trip. Everybody had space, the kitchen was great, and we loved grilling with a view. We enjoyed our day trip to Elk River waterfall. The kids enjoyed tubing down the New River. We ended our weekend with zip lining and gem mining. We truly fell in love with the cabin and we’re hoping to return soon. We enjoyed our stay. Had fun in the hot tub and late-night fires. Good home cooked meals in a beautiful kitchen. Pool and dart games were fun. All the stairs gave us a workout. The cool weather was a welcome change from the heat in Florida. Grandfather Vineyard was fun and beautiful and tasty. Fireworks at Tweetsie Railroad on the 4th of July. Kayaking and canoeing in Boone is always a wonderful experience, very peaceful. Our stay was too short, and we are sad to go home. Thank you for welcoming us into your home.
