We had a wonderful stay at this home. The view was very nice and the home was a perfect size to spread out and enjoy. The kitchen had many things just like you would have at home. The only thing you need to bring is you food! We will definitely rent this property again.

Appalachian Satisfaction definitely lived up to its name. The expansive covered porch alone with its magnificent view is worth the trip, but the charming house, beautiful hot tub, and cozy firepit are pretty special as well. We had such a good time and hope to visit again. Thank you!

This is a beautiful cabin. We all loved the cedar smell when you walk in. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the porch, and could watch the weather roll in. This cabin is very well appointed with everything you need. One of the best Airbnb's that we have every stayed in. We will definitely be booking this one again!

Agency very responsive and easy to work with each time we've used them. Appalachian Satisfaction had gorgeous views and is within a short drive to area attractions and excellent restaurants. Much of our time was spent relaxing on the huge deck and being grateful we escaped the heat much of the rest of the country had to deal with.

We had an amazing stay as always. We have used this same house for close to 10 years now, if not more than that....the layout works great for our group and the large front deck and the addition of the new cushioned furniture was great. The layout of the bedrooms doesn't make it feel like you are crammed in a house with 8 adults and allows an adequate amount of privacy on each floor. We love it and I am sure we will be booking it year after year, as long as it stays available this same weekend each year! And the communication from the management group is ON POINT and very accomodating.

My family loves staying at this beautiful cabin. Great location near Valle Crucis park and so much to do nearby. The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of room for the kids to spread out and play upstairs in the loft or downstairs in the basement. Hot tub was a huge bonus. Will definitely be back!

Appalachian Satisfaction was a perfect cabin for our group of 6 adults and 2 small kids. Everyone had their own private space with separate bathrooms. And we hung out together on the main floor with the most beautiful mountain view out the living room window and huge deck. This cabin has a great floorplan for us. We grilled burgers on the deck our first night since everyone came in at different times. The cabin has all the accessories needed. We enjoyed the hot tub after a full day which included a hike. And made smores by the fire up the hill. The cabin location is close to one of our regular stops, the Mast General Store and also between Boone and Banner Elk which made it convenient for trips around the community. Everyone agreed we would stay in this cabin again.

We have stayed all over the high country, and this is hands down one of the BEST views we have had yet. We loved having our coffee in the morning on the deck, and our wine in the evening, just soaking it in. The property is stocked with everything you could need, and has a wonderful layout for a large group. We hope to come back!

We loved this house! The beds are SO comfortable, and the view/sunsets incredible. Love the location and proximity to Valle Crucis -- dinner at Over Yonder was delicious, and we enjoyed shopping at Mast General Store. Enjoyed a couple of the hikes recommended in your notebook. Kitchen is well-stocked, sofas comfy, ample space to spread out or bond over games/football. Enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. (Didn't have a toddler with us but the house has toddler needs.) This is the second consecutive year we have stayed at Appalachian Satisfaction. It is perfect for our family- with grown up kids and a new baby this year. The size is just right! The kids with the baby take the lower floor, mom and dad take the Master on the main floor and the other two boys take the bedrooms with a sitting room upstairs. When asked what they most looked forward to this year, all of the kids said “hanging out on the porch”. The open kitchen allows us to visit together while making meals. We eat outside on the porch for every meal, and we use the grill often. We look forward to next year at Appalachian Satisfaction!

I believe this is the third or fourth time we’ve rented this property and appreciated the upgrades since our last stay. It won’t be the past time we rent it either as long as it’s available when we need it! Property management group was top notch!

We had a great time hiking and hanging out in the hot tub and grilling/eating on the huge deck. Very spacious cabin in a pretty area. Especially enjoyed the view and the huge picture window taking advantage of it. Nice private location but still convenient to hiking (Moses Cone and Price Park we're about 20 min away). Unexpected bonus of getting to see fireworks across the mountain while watching from the deck! Checking in/out very easy. Clean cabin. Well stocked. We were happy to find some spices to add to our hamburger meat as we had forgotten to bring ours.. Absolutely loved our stay.

This home is in a beautiful, secluded spot. The view is lovely. It is well stocked. We had two families in this space, and we were not at all crowded. The hot tub is large and a wonderful feature on a cool evening. I would definitely stay here again.

This rental was excellent. It had all your needs from crockpot and kitchen needs to crib, high chair and activity saucer for a baby. Lots of room. Stocked wood for outside fire pit. Can not think of anything else you would need to make your vacation a relaxing trip. Thank you.

Beautiful property, perfectly secluded, with room (and space) for the whole family. Living room, loft, and downstairs living room for kids to spread out their entertainment options. View from the porch was gorgeous! Hot tub was perfect with the chilly nights! Kitchen was stocked with everything you needed and more! It was truly a home away from home! Loved the large wooden kitchen table big enough for the whole family to gather around.

This home provided the perfect mountain escape for our family! The location was ideal as it was secluded up on the mountainside and had the best front porch views. The home is centrally located to the many fun activities and restaurants in the high country. Appalachian Satisfaction had many amenities and was fully stocked with everything we needed. From the perfect layout of the house, to the charming kitchen table, the picturesque front porch, the fun foosball table & board games, the hot tub, to the secluded fire pit space, swing and fort out back it was all so magical. We absolutely loved this cabin. There were 7 of us that stayed and there was more than enough room. We also loved the fact that there was a kitchen table large enough for us to all eat together. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the cookware that we needed. The beds were nice and comfy and the cabin was very clean when we arrived. The views of the mountains were so peaceful and nice. We also liked the fact that you could not see any other cabins (not sure if that is the case in the winter) I would highly recommend this cabin.

Awesome experience. Staff was amazing. We had a problem with the hot tub and it was solved immediately despite the fact the rental office had already closed for the weekend. The house was great. This is the second time we have stayed at Appalachian Satisfaction and we have loved it both times. We had 8 people between the 2 families which comprised of 4 kids (age range 2-6) and 4 adults. This house had plenty of room and everything we needed. The hot tub was an additional perk. We stumbled across the camp fire, fairy land and tree swing while wondering around outside so that was also an added bonus. We look forward to coming back in the future.

Hands down, best vacation and family time I’ve had in a long time. This cabin experience goes above and beyond anything you could imagine. The attention to detail, from the decorations to the amenities, far surpasses anything I ever expected. You could bring clothes and food and stay at the cabin as long as you would like. The location is secluded, yet close to town. The cabin itself is clean and feels like home. From the night light that turns on when you throw your trash away, to the activities for kids on a rainy day, this cabin has it all. There is a classic cabin/country feel with very thoughtful decorations and amenities in every room. My children loved the board games, foosball table, hot tub, bunk beds, and space to be kids. For parents, the living room with a fireplace and front porch are great places to relax and unwind. There’s even a baby crib in a smaller space if traveling with an infant. My family enjoyed tubing at hawks nest, the mast general store annex with playground behind, Docs gem mining, and the downtown Boone area/Mellow mushroom for dinner. The host was very kind, helpful, and responsive. There are plenty of nearby recommendations in a notebook in the living room table drawer. Quit searching and book this cabin now, I promise you won’t regret it. If traveling during inclement weather, I definitely recommend 4wd as the driveway is gravel and a little steep as you’re on the side of a mountain. For this trip, a van did just fine.

We enjoyed a long weekend reuniting with friends; it was 5 adults and 3 children (two 3 year olds and a 6 month old). The house was very clean and fully stocked with linens, toilet paper/paper towels, and even had toiletries available should something have been forgotten. The layout was absolutely perfect for our group, with 3 living areas to hang out in and a very open living room/kitchen. The bedrooms were bigger than expected and accommodated all of us comfortably. The lot is nice and private but convenient to local activities. Overall we had an incredibly wonderful experience and will definitely be returning in the future!

This home in the mountains of Valle Crucis was all that we were looking to find and more. The view changes minute by minute and is the entertainment. The large porch features rocking chairs and tables and there is no need to turn on the TV inside. The house was appointed with all the requirements needed for an extended family to enjoy a relaxing time in the mountains. In addition, the home includes a hot tub... and swing for the children almost hidden away behind the house. All in all, this is a great value and a worthwhile pick for families with "little ones" or not. We would definitely rebook this offering again!
