My wife and I have been renting the same property from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals (BRMR) for 7 years for an annual beginning-of-summer vacation. The property is always extremely well-maintained, clean, and well-provisioned, the BRMR staff have always been incredibly helpful and courteous, and they always leave us a nice surprise at the property for check-in (this year it was a box of Girl Scout cookies).

A River Mist is such a beautiful property! The view is so relaxing; there's nothing like waking up to the sounds of the river. The cabin is well stocked & so comfortable, you won't want to leave this place.

My wife and I have vacationed at this property every spring for seven years (except during 2020, when it was unavailable due to COVID). It's cozy, extremely private, and it sits right on the Watauga River. The owners have made numerous upgrades to the property in the past few years, but our favorite features are still the privacy and the sound of the river.

We had a great time staying at A River's Mist. The cabin is cozy. It is well decorated, stocked with items you may need and even some that are perks that are unexpected. The property is on the river and it was wonderful to hear the water rush over the rapids. Beautiful. A large deck to hangout and enjoy that view. Gas fireplace inside and a fire pit outside which we enjoyed both. We loved the large wall Scrabble game and had foosball competitions. We went hiking about 25 minutes away and had dinner both nights in Boone about 20-25 minutes away. We will certainly be returning to A River's Mist for another stay! Thank you for a great stay!

We came in late due to traffic and this was not a problem. Easy access and having everything ready was a stress reliever. Our family (to include our sweet pup) enjoyed this property very much. The sight lines and sounds from the river, to the multiple options on the surrounding deck was amazing. We had a wonderful time.

Another wonderful stay with Blue Ridge rentals! I have stayed at several of their properties over the years and they are the best vacation rental I've ever found. On top of that this house was truly a favorite! The house was perfectly appointed. The kitchen had everything I looked for! Great combination of amenities but still a cabin feel. My favorite was sitting in the hot tub with the river flowing and a fire in the out door pit! We loved the secluded location but still an easy drive to Boone. Highly recommend!!!

We had a beautiful stay. Property Mgmt. Very good with communication. Cabin is great for families. Recommend booking desired activities in advance as they do book quickly! We enjoyed our stay.

We loved our week in this Cabin at Christmas time. The house is fantastic and the views are amazing! Everything we needed was in this house. Christmas Eve snow was the icing on top. Do remember to bring chains if you visit in the winter, our front wheel drive SUV was tough to get out with the snow (Of course, they told us this in advance, but we didn’t do it!) we will definitely be back!

I can't imagine any description other than perfect. This is an amazing set up on a wide swath of the Watauga River. It is laid out perfectly, furnished immaculately, and stuffed with entertainment such as games, foosball, PS2. The hot tub is amazing. The fishing is amazing. I want to buy this place!! 3 words: Just Book It

It couldn’t have been a better place for us. From the river access to the foosball upstairs to the spiral stairs in between. We grilled; we chilled; we jacuzzi’d up and just relaxed in a well stocked, well thought out respite on the river.

We have been staying at the same cabin for the past ten years. The owners of that cabin made it private. So, I was nervous about looking for a new retreat, but was so happy to have found this cabin. Location is beautiful. It feels so comfortable. The sound of the river swept my stress away. Incredible home. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had an amazing experience with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. We rented A River Mist for a week and had a wonderful vacation. The home is beautiful, clean, and very cozy. We were very happy to find that the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need, there was extra linens, and a nice collection of DVDs and books. The views from the home are beautiful, my kids and I enjoyed swimming in the river just below the home (they had a nice staircase leading down to the river). We also enjoyed the hot tub in the spa-like master bathroom. Overall this was a great place for us to vacation at, we were very happy with the home, and had a great time. This was our first time renting and we will definitely return for our next vacation.

We love heading to A River's Mist. This was our 3rd visit in the last 5 years and each time the cabin has met our expectations. I would recommend this cabin to anyone who is looking for some quality R&R and quality family time. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals has made our experiences easy when it comes to booking. The cabin is always clean and ready to go. And if there's ever been any issues regarding the hot tub, sound system, gas, lighting; etc. They always have a technician to the cabin promptly. I am so happy with our trip to Rivermist! Everything was wonderfully laid out in the home. We spent time in the hot tub, listening to music and drinking wine and beer. The dogs loved the area and even enjoyed the river. The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms had towels, the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. The deck was expansive and we loved the upper deck for additional views. I miss it already! My husband recommends that a list of lights to the outside needs to be labelled where they are and what they turn on. We couldn't figure out where the light to the driveway was and how to turn any of the lights on or off. We appreciated the area by the bedroom that looked liked dogs could be cleaned up in there (or fish for that matter)!!! Thank you for sharing your home!

We loved our stay at A River Mist. It's a beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. It is extraordinarily well equipped, has comfortable beds and linens and a beautiful view of the Watauga River. We (and our dogs) enjoyed it so much we added an extra day. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We will definitely be back!

The home was located on a ridge above the river with a stairway down to the water. It is a beautiful and relaxing setting. The kitchen is well equipped with just about anything you could possibly need. The hot tub on the deck was a big hit. The game room provided an opportunity to have some fun family time. It is an easy drive from Boone. We made a few trips into town for groceries and to eat out one night. We loved our time here and are already planning a return visit.

This home is beautiful and very well equipped. I feel like a guest in someone's luxury home . They have thought of everything . Extremely plush beds and Bedding , super nice towels ,fancy soap, the list just keeps going ! The view is amazing , the kitchen is fully equipped . I can't wait to come back.

This cabin is extraordinary. It is situated right on the river so you can fish, swim, or just look out over the beautiful view over coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The jacuzzi was perfect (and well maintained) and it was great to sit in it while my family made smores at the fire pit each night. The inside of the cabin is beautifully decorated with modern furnishings and the place was immaculately clean. It cost a little more than we were looking to pay, but we are glad we did. It was worth every penny. Can't wait to go back!

We have stayed at a lot of cabins in the Boone area.....but this one- WOW!!!!! It was great......very very NICE place......the owners do a great job keeping it up........the house keepers do an outstanding job !! There is no better place to rent from than the folks at Blue Ridge Rentals. They know their stuff.....and do their job GREAT!!! We will rent this one again!

Everything you are looking for in a mountain home rental is right here. The owners have stocked the home with everything you need. From the expansive decks you can see and hear the beautiful flowing river. The steps leading down to the river gives you the opportunity to enjoy fishing with the fishing poles provided for you at the house. The hot tub and fire pit are added bonuses. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there and will definitely return to A River Mist!!

We were so lucky to happen upon this beautiful getaway for our last minute getaway trip. This was the first ski trip for our 3 kids, and they loved it! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, the river, and the gorgeous scenery. River Mist is truly a gem. We didn't look at our cell phones and were actually able to step away from it all. We even had most of the conveniences of home that are usually missing on vacation! Thank you for sharing this very special place.
