Skylark

The Skylark cabin was a great place for our family. More than enough space for our adult family. Many laughs were had at the dining room table. The cabin was spacious, clean, warm and inviting. Close to Boone and the many activities it offers. Would definitely book again if we head back to the area. Thanks for the memories!

Skylark provided an amazing stay! The house was just the right amount of cozy and spacious. And was in the perfect location to downtown Boone while also feeling secluded and in tune with nature. The hot tub was an excellent perk as well!

What a fantastic long weekend in Boone / Valle Crucis / Banner Elk area with my Delta Sigma Phi fraternity brothers from NC State. I chose to stay at Skylark with 2 others and the cabin was just amazing. Super location, the house layout and furnishings were top shelf!!!! We could not have been happier! I am ready to rebook Skylark for next year or prior for a mountain weekend.

Comfy beds, very well-stocked kitchen cabinets, dishes, silverware, knives, etc.....I cooked and baked whilst visiting. Comfortable enough for 6 upstairs (as long as 2 baths are enough) and 2 in the basement studio. Porches are perfect when it rains, hot tub a plus. Lovely rental, lovely stay!

Agree with all the good reviews . Excellent place, enjoyed it very much. It should be noted the short road up to Skylark is challenging as is turning around to go back to the highway

Beautiful cabin! The rooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, the scenery is peaceful, and the hot tub is a plus! Everything was as described and clean. Would definitely recommend even with kids and a dog!

I loved Skylark! It was very clean & so relaxing. There was a leak in the utility room in the garage & they sent someone over right away. The guy was very courteous. Would definitely return & recommend to friends. Could use signage going up the drive!

We loved staying at Skylark! We chose it for our 20th wedding anniversary getaway and it was perfect for us and our chocolate lab! We have stayed in different rental cabins through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for many years now and have never been disappointed. The cabins have always been very clean, beds have been comfortable, and basic needs and wants have always been met. Though we've never done it before with the other cabins, we've decided that we would definitely stay at Skylark again…it felt that “right” for us! Thanks to you and the owners for another perfect stay!

Absolutely loved the house. The area was gorgeous and private. Looked exactly like described, was not disappointed. There's one house visible thru the driveway, pretty close actually but it was empty when we were there so we had plenty of privacy. We had a great time. Would come back.

Great location, the Valle Crucis community is amazing. The place is beautifully cozy and well kept. Check in was super easy and there is plenty of storage. There's much to check out near by and Boone is just a short drive away. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer.

Very accurately described. Clean and had everything extra we needed. The hot tub was working well and clean, the fireplace was a nice addition to our morning coffee on the chilly mornings. We used the grill to cook some steaks one evening. The internet was very fast so we could stream a movie one night. The cabin is semi-private. There is one close cabin that you can see from the back porch where the hot tub is located but it is far enough away that you can use the hot tub privately. The only time that you can see the other cabin well enough is when using the outdoor table or grill. The rooms and front porch are all very private. You can hear some road noise occasionally but it is still very peaceful. Cabin layout is great with three beds and a bath upstairs in the loft and then the master on the main level. Would be a great setup for a small family though we just used it as a couple. This place will be going on the list to remember for future vacations.

This cabin was beautiful and we loved our stay -- it was conveniently located in a private area, but minutes away from the main street through Valle Crucis (where we ate at Over Yonder and visited the Mast general store). The location was also ideal for the hikes we had planned (in particular, Grandfather Mountain)... and the hot tub was a necessity after all those trails. Everything was clean, and we were surprised by how spacious the cabin was. It was beautiful. We would love to return for another trip one day!

We were very impressed with this beautiful cabin and the amenities. It was stunning, comfortable and the setting was incredible. Hidden away up a pretty winding lane on a hill side surrounded by lovely woodlands and quiet. Yet conveniently located to the sights and pleasures found only in this part of NC. We will stay here again.
