A group of friends and I LOVED our time at Mimi's Cottage. The cabin was adorable and spacious - we were pleasantly surprised that it even was decorated for the Holidays. Checking in and out was very smooth, and we love how close the property is to downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. Definitely recommend 4WD in winter months, as the hosts recommended as well!

This is a great home has great space for families and is very quaint. There was a bedroom and basement downstairs for our kids to spread out. Extra bonus was the hot tub. Thanks for a great stay!

Good location to local attractions. Good price for the short notice trip. House was clean and spacious. We went skiing so we was gone all day but the hot tub was relaxing that evening!

we arrived at Mimi's Cottage and was delighted with the location and layout of the house. It is between Blowing Rock and Boone which allows for easy access to either location. I highly recommend this home and would love to return soon.

Our family enjoyed Mimi's Cottage. Great location, clean, plenty of space for 7-8 folks, great porch but weather was a little cold to be using it very much but would be great in spring or fall or summer. We can highly recommend renting this mountain cottage through Blue Ridge Mt. Rentals. It did save us some money which is always appreciated and they sent us everything we needed to know about what is furnished and the door code 2 days before our trip. The door code was so easy to use.

We had a wonderful time! Mimi’s Cottage was perfect for our family! There was plenty of space and it was super cozy! Loved the Christmas tree and decorations! We used the hot tub every night and the large table was great for meals and game nights! The location was great, we were 8 minutes to App Ski Mtn. and 30 to Sugar Mtn. This cabin was just perfect for our needs. I traveled with a friend for a long weekend of chilling and unplugging from work. I took the top floor, while she and her dog took the bottom floor. We met in the middle to make food and relax. The tech in the basement was especially great. We could play video games or binge any of our shows. We used the hot tub every day despite the chilly weather. All in all, it was a successful getaway.

Our family had a wonderful time at Mimi’s Cottage from 6/11/22-6/18/22. Mimi’s Cottage is PERFECTLY located (literally) only 6 minutes to restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, gem-mining, etc. 8 minutes to Tweetsie Railroad and 10 minutes to downtown Boone! I know everyones perception of distance is different, but trust me, you can get to everything very quickly from Mimi’s Cottage. I get major motion sickness in the car and Mimi’s close proximity to everything was a life saver! The cabin itself is super cute, has comfy beds and is in a peaceful neighborhood. The two-way road up to the cabin is very narrow, but it’s nothing that can’t be managed as long as you are careful and drive slowly. :-)

Wonderful location for skiing, snowboarding, doing tourist things, and just hanging out! Nice furnace in the front room is cozy but parents of small toddlers need to bring a gate to keep little ones at a social distance- no harm just preventative. Love the deck, hot tub etc- just perfect for viewing deer, rabbits and occasional bear traveling by. Think we will come back again! Thanks for the restful week!

Mimi's Cottage was great! Very quiet neighborhood that was private. Close proximity to both Boone and Blowing Rock. Felt very comfortable walking the dogs in the neighborhood and the gated deck was perfect for them as well! Home was clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

Although we had a minor panic attack everytime we parked down the slope and had to back out (because we had 2 cars we couldn't turn around) onto mountain road, we loved this house. close to everything, luckily no snow on mountain so our minivan was fine, otherwise 4x4 needed.

Mimi's cabin was just what we were looking for! Incredibly cozy with comfortable beds and perfect living room for lounging around all day. Everything was really clean and thoughtfully curated. The internet was good, which was important since my son had virtual school and was able to stay connected without any issues. The location was awesome. We found a short hike nearby and other hikes and bike trails within ~10-15 mins. of the house. The kids loved the foosball table, shuffleboard and the movie room, but the highlights for them were the squirrel and chipmunk that frequently scampered across the deck :) Can't wait to book Mimi's cabin again.

We enjoyed the property, especially the large deck. I'm glad that the windows could be opened easily as that allowed us to get fresh air in, a necessity due to the Covid 19 virus. Only drawback for the property was no walk-in shower.

Excellent Experience - This was a great family weekend for grandkids and our dog. We had a great time the cabin had everything we needed. We did go out some but we loved just staying there mostly. The deck is awesome. The facilities are all excellent. The floor plan is excellent for different families to stay. Our dog loved the gated deck and walking the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place! Would love to stay again.
