The cabin was very clean and spacious. The hot tub was a plus, enjoyed it a lot. The cabin is very private and off the main highway, a few minutes from town. would recommend this cabin to future guests.

Very cozy with a great view of Grandfather Mountain from the giant living room window and hot tub. It was exactly what we were looking for. At first, the next door neighbor's house seemed a little close but Winds Aloft is shrouded in so many trees and bushes we didn't notice them at all.

My husband and I's stay here was absolutely perfect. The cabin has a lot of charm and you can tell the owners put a lot of thought into the property. The highlight of our stay was watching the sunrise in the hot tub with warm cups of coffee. Love how private and quiet it is. We will definitely choose to stay here again!

This cabin was the perfect place for a quiet, private mountain getaway! Be sure to stop for groceries before heading to the rental. It snowed our 2nd day which was such a treat. Hot tub was nice addition especially at night. Highly recommend exploring Grandfather Mountain and Blue Ridge Parkway! Also 4 wheel drive is a must especially in winter.

What a beautiful cabin with an excellent view of Grandfather Mtn from the porch and hot tub. We loved our stay here. The drive up to the cabin from the main road was easy; but there is a possibility of a "lane" share as you go up a short part of the drive. For people like us, from Florida, thats always a little daunting. but the norm for a fantastic view. Loved the authentic log cabin hominess and warmth. I wish we owned the place! Convenient to many towns and attractions also. You will love it here.

We LOVE the Winds Aloft Cabin. This was our second and not last visit to this little piece of wonder. In the summertime it is pure happiness with perfect temperatures in the 70's to cool down and relax on the back porch and watch the day go by as you stare off to Grandfather Mountain and decide whether to venture off to the many local and beautiful hikes or just spend the day reading in the rockers or laying on the beautiful back lawn. Winds Aloft is a cozy nest of heaven.

The view and hot tub were simply amazing. The location was perfect for our time hiking and visiting wineries. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed to cook meals and relax in the evening after hiking and exploring the area. The door lock went offline, and I had to call the after-hours maintenance number and they solved it and sent a new code immediately. We had a wonderful time, and I would recommend this rental.

If you're looking for privacy but also convenience to fun things to do WITH amazing views, this is the one. Minutes away from Banner Elk, Sugar Mtn, and Grandfather mtn, and a slew of good dining, shopping, and entertainment. Slingshot tree with the Grandfather mtn back drop is a view to remember, you can even see the “mile high bridge” from the porch. We went to the bridge and tried to spot the house from it (not as easy and without success) had a great stay!

My fiance and I stayed during the holiday weekend, and had a great time. Everything is beautiful, well set up, the hosts were very communicative with us! Everything was great! We wish we could have written in the guest book, but we didn't have a pen, nor could we find one. The hot tub was amazing. We definitely want to come back in the winter time to enjoy the snow! This reminded me of cabins I used to go stay at in CO. It was lovely!

The cabin is darling- it looks just like a Lincoln Log cabin you may have built as a child. The property is gorgeous and the house is perfectly sized for four people. The hot tub was great. Definitely recommend.

This was an awesome experience of the mountains. The Winds Aloft house is very beautiful, comfortable, clean. We loved the gas fireplace, and the amazing view of Grandfather Mountain through the living room and bedroom windows! The bed was really comfortable. The hot tub was great! It was clean, excellent and quick communication with the management, spacious first floor, great kitchen, computer space. The road up is a little steep, but no problem. We loved staying here!

The view is stunning right from the living room! Great romantic getaway. We had no water when we got there, but it did not hinder anything as maintenance was already on site. It was fixed before we got unpacked. Blue Ridge was on top of it! Definitely would come back.

Incredible! Wonderful host, simple and quaint touches on a cabin that make this a must stay location. Did I mention location? Great views of the mountains, within a short drive to Banner Elk and Boone. Hiking within 5-10 min drive. Great amenities as well. Highly recommend!

We moved to Florida in January from North Carolina and were dying for some fall weather. This mountain cabin was the perfect setting for our fall getaway. We were able to easily get to Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain to do some hiking. We really loved it here!

This is a beautiful, authentic log cabin in a secluded area. There is one other home around but with so many trees, we barely noticed it. The front porch looking out towards Grandfather mountain was wonderful and very private. Great view for cool mornings with a cup of coffee just enjoying the serenity. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and enjoying piece and quiet. Very warm and cozy inside as well.
