This jewel of a home is the perfect luxurious mountain getaway!
Enter the main level from the paved circular parking, up a trio of stairs, and through a carved wooden door. The open great room, two stories high with a cathedral ceiling, sprawls before you with a dining room in the center, a living area to the right, and a kitchen to the left.
The gourmet kitchen features a large stainless steel 6-burner gas stove with side griddle and a convenient pasta arm set into the tiled backsplash, eliminating the need to carry heavy pots of water from the sink to the stove. The double basin embossed metal kitchen sink was custom-made for this home and features a fleur-de-lis pattern across the front. Enjoy your meals at the solid wood round table, which will comfortably seat 8, and 4 more can be seated at the granite kitchen island bar.
There is a custom wet bar set off the kitchen, with granite counters and hot & cold water flowing to the trough sink. Chilly outside? Light a fire in the double-sided gas log fireplace, and enjoy the warmth from the dining area or from the living area. The living room has comfortable leather furnishings arranged around a 42” HDTV with a BluRay player connected. The blinds of the top tier of windows can be remote controlled, so you won’t get the sun’s glare on the evening news.
The spacious main level master suite, accented with splashes of vibrant color, has a King bed, HDTV, private balcony as well as access to the main deck, and a ceiling fan. The private bathroom has remote controlled privacy blinds, a spa-like shower with a Rainhead, three body sprayers, and a regular head, two vanities, and a water closet.
Upstairs from the main level is a reading loft with a couch that folds out into a full-sized sleeper, as well as a poker game table with a reversible top.
Down one story is the sleeping floor. On this level is a second living room with a 42” TV and BluRay player, a chair that folds out into a twin sleeper, and a table with four chairs. There are three bedroom suites on this floor: a green room with a King bed, a yellow room with a full bed, and a western red room with two Queen beds. Each of these has a TV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower inside. The suite with two Queen beds is only accessed through a bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds. For those using the bunk room or the twin sleeper, there is another full bath off the common room.
Down another story is the game level of the home. This entire level has 12’ ceilings. The spacious game room has a large L-shaped couch and two rocker/recliner chairs in front of a 60” TV. There is a regulation-length pool table and a wet bar, as well as a ping pong table. The two car garage is on the other side of this floor, and is available for guest use. There is room for a maximum of four vehicles.
Nestled in the quiet Yonahlossee Saddle Club, the home is in an excellent location for those wishing to run or walk around the home, with or without the family pet. For a small fee, you’ll also enjoy full club privileges at the Yonahlossee Club, which include 75-foot indoor swimming complex, game room with foozball and ping pong, lounge, and fitness center, indoor and outdoor tennis courts and lessons, horseback riding and lessons, and more. Enjoy access to Yonahlossee Resort amenities for a small fee! Guests must pay a $10 per day per person base fee to use the pool, gym, and game room. If more than 3 people, the base fee will be $25 for club use. To access outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, the fee is an additional $10 per person and is $20 per person for indoor tennis and pickleball courts.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Beautiful, well equipped. Our group enjoyed the amenities it had to offer. So much room for everyone! Our stay at Stags Leap was incredibly peaceful. We appreciate the owner(s) for sharing the home with us and BRMR for providing an elite level of service. The home itself was grand, with well appointed furnishings and beautiful artwork. The best feature was the ever-changing views of Grandfather Mountain. Our family enjoyed each level of the home and loved the convenience to Blowing Rock and Boone. We saw deer and rabbits everyday on our walks. We had a wonderful stay in the perfect home. The house is spacious enough for two families with children. Fantastic main floor and the kids really loved the game room. It snowed while we were there, and it has a wonderful neighborhood to walk around in. I can't say enough great things about stags leap!!!! The pictures don't do the home or view justice! It felt so luxurious with the hot tub, amenities, updated master shower, etc. The view of grandfather mountain from the deck and living room is AMAZING! The fireplace was our favorite part, but being 10 minutes from the heart of Boone was a close second. We are already planning another date to reserve stags leap again. This was the perfect place for our family's mountain getaway! Only five miles from Boone and close to some really nice hiking trails, but the house itself was also a lovely and relaxing retreat. Stag's Leap is an impressive house and well equipped and suited for extended visits. The location was perfect, views of Grandfather Mountain were wonderful. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, the management company, was easy to work with, helpful in offering house options and listened to our questions. Location, Location, Location! The views were so stunning and the entire house was very well appointed... in fact we had so much fun playing games and enjoying the gourmet kitchen and views, we never left to hike or shop!! The facility was well represented on the website and pictures. Blue Mountain Rentals was very efficient and met expectations. "Mother Nature" was NOT very welcoming with a deluge of rain and strong winds. However, at no time did we feel unsafe within the structure of Stags Leap. Stag's Leap fully met and exceeded our expectations. The view of Grandfather Mountain was breathtaking. The decor was tasteful, comfortable, pragmatic, and beautiful. There was plenty to do in the home. The well equipped gorgeous kitchen was used frequently as a common gathering area to prepare, cook, eat meals, and talk about nothing and everything simultaneously. My husband and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary there with our children, their spouses, and seven of our grandchildren. Everyone had a marvelous time playing billiards, ping pong, games, and socializing. Great attractions were in close proximity, which made it easy for us to hike, shop, and eat out. Stags Leap is an amazing property and perfect for a large family gathering. Blue Ridge Rental was most knowledgeable in helping us locate the perfect rental-one that played an important role in our family celebration. The house had everything we could possibly need-the floorplan was such that everyone had plenty of room, entertainment for the kids on the lower level, quiet space for the grown ups and wonderful kitchen facilities for meal preparation for large groups. Perfect location for our Ladies Retreat! We had 18 ladies attend with more than adequate sleeping accommodations, plenty of spacious living area, wonderful large game room for a meeting area, more video/audio equipment than we could ever use, and the view was absolutely breath-taking inside and out! After searching over 70 rentals and contacting several offices, I was delighted to get in touch with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. They were professional, kind, easy to work with, and able to listen to what we needed then find several options to fit within our dates and budget. We ended up staying at Stags Leap over Memorial Day Weekend. We had 8 adults and 6 kids and had an enjoyable stay. Honestly, I was concerned at first that it said the place allowed large dogs. None of us are pet owners. However, had I not read it, I would have never known that dogs had been in the house. We had plenty of room to spread out, or if all together we did not feel crunched on top of each other. The house was beautiful and we appreciated all the decorations and extra touches the homeowners had done - from the artwork, to the faucet above the stove. While a small detail - I was especially delighted to see that the bunk bed mattresses and pillows my kids slept on, as well as my husband and I in the king on the sleeping floor, all had allergy covers on them. Our kids have asthma, are allergic to dust, and typically I have to put those covers on mattresses and pillows when we travel or else their asthma is aggravated. I was overjoyed that we did not have to do that here. The beds were comfortable, everyone slept well. There was plenty of hot water for showers. Additionally, the floors were clean and the house was well maintained. We enjoyed that the house was convenient to several area attractions. For this trip, we went to Tweetsie, Linville Falls, Mystery Hill, and Grandfather Mountain. A family friend visited us while we were there and they are now planning to rent the house later in the year. Our family recently stayed at the Stags Leap property in Boone as we were coming for APP State graduation. It was incredible! It had everything you could want -- and more. It was beautifully decorated -- filled with all the things you would need away from home. This property overlooks Grandfather Mountain and the view is stunning. We enjoyed eating out on the deck overlooking the gorgeous views -- cooking out on the wonderful grill provided. This property exceeded all expectations. It was so beautiful!
