This home has 4 bedrooms and an additional private sleeping space.
Welcome to Roaring Creek Lodge! Whether you love adventure or just relaxing and roasting s'mores by the outdoor firepit or soaking in the hot tub, this mountain cabin is the perfect vacation destination any time of the year! It is conveniently located just minutes from the Appalachian Trail and countless other hiking opportunities.
Set up wonderfully for three families, the main level has a queen bedroom and a bunk room with two sets of twin over twin bunks. The main level bath is conveniently located in the hall between bedrooms and offers a tub/shower combination as well as granite counters. Upstairs you will find the King suite with a walk-in closet. The attached bath has a tub/shower combination and double granite vanity. For additional sleeping space, the loft offers a pullout full sleeper sofa in the loft.
On the lower level guests will find the final queen room along with the second bunk room, this one offering a full over full bunk bed. The lower bathroom is located in the hall and offers a shower. While you're on the lower level, you'll love the den, which features a pool table and a 75' HDTV with a sound bar and subwoofer. Relax on the sofa or shoot a game of pool while watching your favorite sports game or show. The washer and dryer are located on the lower level and are always available for guest use.
As you step outside, you'll be greeted by the soothing sounds of the Roaring Creek just across the road. It's the perfect grounding tune to enjoy as you grill your favorite meals and eat at the table on the covered deck. When the sun starts to set, head over to the firepit to roast marshmallows and enjoy the night sky!

- This home is pet friendly for an additional $25/night per pet, allowing up to 2 dogs
- The Gravel driveway can accommodate three or more cars.
- Firewood may be added at the time of booking under "Additional Fees" after entering payment info or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
- Please note that the owners of this home use security cameras to monitor the exterior of their home to ensure it remains safe when unoccupied. No cameras face towards the home.
- While owned by the previous owner, this property was known as Mountain Mindset.
- Guests returning to Roaring Creek Lodge may receive a discount of 5% to the rent, not to be combined with other discounts to the rent.
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

This log home overlooks the Roaring Creek in beautiful Newland. You'll enter the home into the spacious living room with vaulted ceilings, ample natural light from the numerous large windows, a stunning floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and comfortable seating. It's the perfect place to enjoy a wood-burning fire as you gather with your loved ones. The kitchen and dining areas are nearby with granite counters and a table for six. The counter has seating for four more.

Our stay at the Roaring Creek Lodge was pure magic! Nestled in mountains, yet close enough to hop into town - it offered a perfect escape for our family. Our toddlers loved the creek right outside where they played for hours. The cabin was beautifully furnished with a rustic charm and modern comfort. It had cozy living spaces ideal for relaxing after days exploring the outdoors. The well-equipped kitchen made family meals easy, and the bedrooms were super comfortable for restful nights. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and hospitable, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. If you are looking for a private wilderness getaway in mountains, then this is it! This house is away from it all, yet close enough to do so much! We drove 20-40 min almost everyday to get to activities, but it was worth it! We played in waterfalls, explored caverns, and went down a lazy river tubing adventure! And on the day we stayed in, the kids played in the hot tub. The house has a fire pit and a terrific downstairs area for the kids. We cooked meals every night, and the grill was amazing! For people who to walk, the hike up driveway is phenomenal! Really. And it's hard to beat the view of mountain and all of that green! Plus the birds singing every morning AND the sound of the creek!?
