Introducing The Overlook Lodge at Wilderness Trail! Designed at the peak of the market in 2007, the home was built to an uncompromising standard of quality, luxury and attention to detail. Resting on a 1+ acre plateau perched at just under 4,300 feet of elevation, The Overlook Lodge looks west out onto unobstructed, rolling mountain views into the Pisgah National Forest and Tennessee Valley. The Overlook Lodge features two grand king suites with lofted ceilings and over-sized bathrooms, offering private soaking tubs and incredible views of their own. There are also two additional king guests suites, one of which doubles as a game room and lounge with its own private balcony. The loft office space is perfect for remote work and learning and lined with iron, rhododendron-themed banisters that create an inclusive, yet private space in the home. Our rental property was exactly like pictured on the rental website. I received accurate information by the rental company when I inquired about the property. The home was immaculate upon arrival. Overlook at Wilderness Trail in Newland, North Carolina was truly a spectacular rental property. When we arrived, the house was immaculate. From the spacious rooms, fireplace, enormous kitchen, and Mountain View's , The property exceeded our expectations. Our family getaway was magical. We were even fortunate enough to have a little snow in which our 4 yr old granddaughter was able to do some sledding, and it was her very first snow! Anyone staying at the property during the winter months Most definitely should follow the rental companies suggestion on vehicles. It can be quite icy. The kitchen had salt, pepper, sugar, coffee filters. Be sure to bring all of your spices, etc. especially if you are a family who likes to cook, we were so happy that we were totally prepared..
