Needing a place where you can leave it all behind? Then Lake Overlook is your location!
This home will be your own unique retreat, as it is the only home in the area looking over Buckeye Lake in Beech Mountain, providing peace and serenity as soon as you arrive. Step inside and you will be greeted by gorgeous hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and an open living area complete with plush leather furnishings, a stone fireplace, and a large flatscreen Roku TV. When you want to grab a bit of fresh air, step out to the large upper deck and make the most of the gas grill and tiled outdoor table to dine al fresco as you soak up the views. Speaking of dining, more formal meals can easily be prepared by the chef of the group in the well-appointed kitchen boasting granite countertops, stainless steel double ovens, a five-burner gas stove, a large refrigerator to stock up groceries in, and a dishwasher for easy cleanup! This upper level is also home to three bedrooms including the primary bedroom with a ensuite featuring granite counter tops, a double vanity and large soaking tub.
The kiddos and young at heart will love hanging out downstairs, as the game room offers a ping-pong table, air hockey, and an 80s-inspired full size arcade machine to throw it back to the good old days. An 85-inch Roku TV completes the setting for a movie after the competition winds down. With a mini-fridge and sink close by, everything you need to have a blast is all right there. Sliding doors open up from this living space onto a large deck featuring a porch swing for book reading or conversations. The lower level also features an oversized bedroom with a king-size select comfort bed that can be adjusted to your comfort level. Should you need to do a bit of work while away, there is a desk that will meet that need, as well as a cozy chair for reading!

Important Notes:
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- This home has a very steep paved driveway, and 4WD/chains required in winter . If it snows, the home will be inaccessible without them!
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
- Cell service is patchy but Wi-Fi is very strong. There is a landline with long distance.
- Very strong high-speed internet and WiFi, perfect for working from home and streaming.
- Shane’s Park (.3 miles) nearby features small ropes course, fishing, camping, canoes and kayaks for rent at the recreation center across the road.
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The house has lots of room and the downstairs game room was a huge hit with the grandkids. It snowed while we were there and the driveway is a bit of a challenge but a truck came and scraped the driveway and put down salt; very thoughtful of Blue Ridge to do that. We have vacationed in the mountains for several years now at different locations and this home by far has been the best. It was spacious and very well decorated. It had everything you could ever need as a home away from home. My family had fun playing ping pong and air hockey together. We stayed at Lake Overlook with 5 grandkids so they could ski on Beech Mountain. The house was only 10 minutes from the slopes and tubing. The house was perfect for our family and the kids LOVED the ping pong table, air hockey and video games! Lots of competitions going on. We enjoyed our quick (3 night) fall get away to the mountains. This house has a nice rec room with all kinds of fun for kids and kids at heart. It also overlooks a lake with a hiking trail going around it which we enjoyed going on one morning.We also drove to Sugar Mountain for an alpine coaster ride and gem mining and went to Boone for a visit to App State, the stores on the Main Street, and good drink/food at The Local.- Katherine, Posted: 09/30/2022
The house was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed, essentials as well as entertainment. The location was perfect and it was the only house on Buckeye Lake and a recreation center just a minute drive down the street for a nice hike or workout. We absolutely loved our stay at Lake Overlook Lodge! It is a beautiful home, with plenty of space and amenities, lots of fun activities for the whole family, and the most stunning views. The location is fantastic for hiking, and family fun - our kids loved the parks and ropes course that is a short walk from lodge.
