Chalet at The Summit of Beech

Great place. Instructions were clear on access. Don't show up without 4 wheel drive, but worth the trip for the view. Home was professionally set up for short term rental. I would recommend this host to anyone looking for strait forward and professional.

It is a beautiful cabin. As if you were in a dream. Beautiful and clean. In the cabin we had everything. Joseph is an excellent host. We stayed because we wanted to see snow and likewise it was a snowfall the day after we stayed. It was perfect! That is if you have to have a 4X4 or strong car. Since with snow you will need it to get to the cabin. I recommend it 100%. We will come back again.

Our stay at the Chalet was perfect. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The location was great- it was easy to get to trails and into town and the views were amazing. We’d go back in a heartbeat. Waze took us directly to the driveway, so it was easy to get there. Although the first driveway would be hard to access without a good all terrain suv, the other driveway had plenty of room for parking for us. I was about to get around with my awd sedan with no issues.

Summit Lodge is the perfect mountain getaway for 2! You will be high up in a beautiful cabin with high ceilings, lots of windows and nice woodwork. The bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Bring groceries with you! Even though you are away from it all, you are also close to the Beech Mountain resort. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful cabin for a small (2-4) group - very peaceful and secluded yet lots of things to do in close proximity (i.e. hiking, dining, adventure seeking). The writeup/warning on the driveway to the garage is truthful - it's a challenge - but the overflow parking is right next to the cabin and works fine. I'd definitely recommend it!

This place is BEAUTIFUL! We came for a long weekend getaway (3 nights) and this was the perfect place. The home was SPOTLESS, and the surrounding area was extremely quiet and peaceful. We were able to visit Grandfather Winery and hike some of the Tanawha Trail, and then come back to relax. The full kitchen included lots of convenient amenities (e.g. oil, salt/pepper, dish soap, paper towels, blender, Keurig, etc.). No AC but the weather at that elevation is nice enough to not even miss it. I drove a 2WD car up alright during dry summer weather, but you definitely need to have the right car/experience to make it up the driveway regardless of weather (steeeeeep gravel). Overall beautiful place and would highly recommend!

This place was great. It was clean and enjoyable and a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in the summer time there are some nice hikes nearby and adventure activities in banner elk to check out, white water rafting or kayaking and repelling / rock climbing. If you get a chance to stay here I would definitely book it. Must have a capable vehicle for the driveway.

We cannot say enough about this little slice of Heaven! The chalet was the perfect size for our family of three. As other reviews mentioned, the views are breathtaking. The chalet was just perfect, and we slept so peacefully there. There is plenty to do in the area, and the hosts even provide games and other entertainment at the chalet. This place is truly worth seeing!

Really enjoyed out weekend stay here! One thing to note is there is not much of a grocery store nearby, unless you count the General Store. Which is still fun to go in! However the nearest grocery store is 30-45 minutes away in Banner Elk, depending which way you go. The cabin was true to the pictures and was the perfect size for a getaway with 2 people. The towels were divine and all there was plenty of cooking supplies for the essentials. It was also nice that there were 2 different ways to get to parking. One path for the more adventurous, the other any car should be able to make in good weather (i.e. no ice or snow). All of the amenities are also accurately described. We loved using the fire pit, however you will need to bring your own seating for it at this time. Would definitely recommend this cabin and location!

You absolutely want to stay in this cabin, the listing doesn't do it justice. The cabin and the surrounding property are both amazing, we spent hours wondering around the property and the many trails. The kitchen is fully stocked for everything you would need to make full meals. Will definitely be coming back.

This place was perfect little getaway!! We felt right at home when we walked in, super comfy vibes. It has everything you need for your stay and we really appreciated the quality of these things as well. Bring extra toilet paper! Also, four wheel drive is a must for the garage parking. My little car was no match for the steep driveway but there is overflow parking at the top which was perfect. The area was gorgeous with plenty of different things to do all around. Loved our stay and would definitely go back!!

The pictures provided in this listing are exactly as described. The privacy of being on (5 ac.) at the top of Hill/Mtn. lead a good nights sleep after hiking/biking on the local trails within 5mins from the house. Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful new chalet with a picturesque view of Beech Mountain resort and surrounding peaks. The highest home on the mountain, there are some great deer path trail runs right outside the door and a short drive to skiing or mountain biking. Big and comfortable... had everything we needed.

This chalet is well appointed, as advertised, spotless, and has an incredible view. It is right at the top of the mountain and very private. We enjoyed the chalet, the mountain (a great hike from Perry Park just down the road), and the area. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect AirB&B for our honeymoon in the mountains. Close to the slopes at Beech Mountain. Full kitchen with everything you would need to make a home cooked meal. Keurig with Kcups provided was a great touch. Wifi was excellent throughout the home. Would highly recommend either a 4WD viehicle or sbowchains in the winter months, especially if it has snowed in the past few days.

This place was very classy and had thoughtful amenities like having a heater with the fan above the spot where you step outside of the shower/bath during the cold winter months to keep warm when you are wet. It came in handy even in the middle of November! It was in the mid 30’s when we left at 11am, so the heat felt great. We stayed in the summit chalet where it was just the cozy space to the left that had one bed and bathroom connected to the bigger place, the skytop chateau. It is a perfect spot for bigger groups of people to get together and has an AMAZING deck view that has an overlook of the Great Smokey Mountains. There is a skywalk that connects the two places together so you can visit both places and be easily connected to each other. The winter sun rises and sets to the left of the mountain top here so you can see some pretty colors over the mountains in the evening. If you have a drone, or want to do any videography, this would also be a great place to get some footage for any kind of nature video or family trip videos or any content creation. The markets and restaurants weren’t far from this place. We got pizza from Brick Oven’s that was a 5-6 minute drive away one night. Easy access to ski lifts and places to eat even being up 5,000 ft on top of the mountain. They left us a nice note and bottle of champagne for being their first ever renters for the place Nov 21-23rd, 2020 which was very thoughtful of them! They are very nice people and their style and design of the places are very aesthetically pleasing that make good backgrounds for pictures making memories of your stay. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! We highly recommend this place. Thanks again
