It was a wonderful home. Everything was just as it was described. The staff was quick to respond when I requested a later checkout and that was very much appreciated. Will definitely be back in the future if we stay in the same area.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home! It truly was a little piece of heaven... with a lifetime of memories made. Our top favorites of Boulder Sky... kitchen, the decks, open concept, the snow (we got so much), hot tub, fire pit, sofa (very comfy), pool table, multiple family privacy, and location! What we did while visiting, skiing (snowboarding) at both Sugar and Beech Mountain (our favorite), Hawks Nest tubing, ice skating, Grandfather Mountain, Shopping in Blowing Rock, and Alpine Coaster.

Great Christmas Vacation for our two-family party of 8! It snowed the night we checked in and it was beautiful. The drive up with snow was no problem for our 4WD Suburban and our other family had a Honda Odyssey that did just fine on the gravel road. The kitchen was well stocked with small appliances and ample enough storage space for our groceries, plus there's utensils and cups for any occasion (adult drink glasses to kids cups and cutlery). Having two King bedrooms was great for our two families (each set of adults got a king) and all 4 kids slept downstairs. Very spacious! Pool table and plenty of TVs helped with the kids and they even got to sled right in the driveway during our stay! We were able to take easy trips to Boone, Blowing Rock, and the Sledding Hill at Beech Mountain (FREE) throughout our stay and it's close enough to everything including grocery stores to stock up for your stay. We had an amazing, memorable time and can't wait to come back!

The house had a ton of space! The kitchen was supplied with everything from little kids utensils to a waffle iron and crockpot! The fire pit across the way is perfect. The downstairs pool table was a ton of fun. While some of us played pool, everyone else could watch them or the huge tv…plenty of room for our family of 8 to sit!! Loved every minute of our stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This rental was very clean and felt fairly new while still being cozy. The kitchen was very nice and well stocked, beds were comfortable. The downstairs bar/lounge area is the biggest selling point of this spot by far and it does not disappoint. The hot tub is very large and new compared to other rentals we’ve been to. It’s in a gated neighborhood which helps with the sense of security, and we were just 10 minutes from the town of banner elk. We also recommend checking out Emerald Outback on Beech Mountain for hiking, and hitting Atlantic Ale House afterwards. You won’t regret a weekend here!

Thank you for our wonderful stay. Love your house and all the amenities. After vacationing in this area the past five years "Boulder Sky" was where we saw the most deer. The weather could not have been better. We plan to return.

Our mountain home was simply perfect. We have stayed at many homes but this was by far the most organized and well thought out home we've been to. The kitchen was amazing! The homeowners have literally thought of everything. The only complaints I heard was that we had to leave. Thank you for sharing your lovely home and your beautiful view. Night time on the deck and around the fire pit was one of our favorite spots. Thanks again for an amazing family vacation.

Stayed at Boulder Sky property, it’s a clean beautiful property. The views are amazing, our kids love the den and fire place on property. Felt like we’re in our home away from home. The grill was out of gas on a Sunday, called Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals and their housekeeping brought it less than an hr later. My husband was impressed by the fast service given it’s a weekend, a holiday weekend at that and on a mountain top! We’ll definitely be staying at this property again whenever we’re back to NC.

Very secluded house. Very nice view, and fire pit worked perfectly. We sat around the fire and then also downstairs played some pool and watched some movies in the entertainment area.

Banner Elk is a beautiful place. River Run was so peaceful and the fresh air we all needed. Your house is laid out so nicely and the kids loved their own space too! Jacuzzi was of course the best part too. The BEAR rules this land and nature. Thanks again!!

Boulder Sky is everything it claims to be, AND SO MUCH MORE!! There were 9 of us all together, 4 adults and 5 kids (2 families) ranging in age from 6-14, and to put it mildly, we had the time of our lives. The home/cabin itself is absolutely BREATHTAKING, not to mention beautifully decorated, and the hosts truly made sure we had every utensil/appliance we could have needed. They also made sure we had all the tools we needed to have fun, from the pool table and darts, to the collections of board games (even a good ole fashion deck of cards), to the hot tub! We were blessed to have had ample snowfall during our visit, and the property is so beautiful, I honestly don't know how to put it into words. We spent hours just watching the deer graze just beyond the back fence, looking for animal prints and deciphering their origin, building snowmen and making snow angels, making s'mores by the fire pit outside, and honestly having the time of our lives. The most amazing part? There are decks on all levels, and there simply aren't words to describe how beautiful the view of the mountains is. Which you can see from all decks, and almost every window in the home! The Cabin was immaculately clean, stocked with any and every kitchen utensil/appliance you could think of, a gas AND charcoal grill for cooking, and the beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept on while traveling. I can tell that the Hosts pulled out all the stops to ensure that their guests would feel right at home during their stay, and they hit the ball out of the park. I could feel the love in this home, from the décor, to the comfortable furniture and fuzzy blankets provided, and their beautiful family photos, and I absolutely recommend it to EVERYONE planning to stay in/near Banner Elk! We didn't go anywhere during our stay, but to get groceries. The home was just what we needed, and we made the most amazing forever memories. We will be back!

I have rented many places.. at the coast, out west, beach and mountains. Wanted you to know that Boulder Sky at River Run was the nicest and best equipped house / rental I/we have rented. Beautiful house that fit our needs exactly - The kitchen had anything anyone could need - the house was spotless, instructions were clear. Loved the fire pit up on the hill, lights are a great touch! We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend to anyone - Thank you for opening up your home!
