We had a great stay at the Appalachian Retreat! The location, for us, was perfect as we love Blowing Rock, and enjoy having a "big" city (Boone) with everything one would need close by. Our only regret was that the stay was not long enough! We were also blessed with perfect weather the entire time. Please arrange the same for our trip next year.

My family stayed at this cabin for a long ski weekend at AppSki. The location is perfect--wooded and quiet, with easy parking and a short walk to the ski resort. The space was very clean and comfortable, well-stocked, and perfect for a couple, family or even 2 small families. The cozy tv room on the bottom level is an ideal kid hangout or would work well if 2 couples or families wanted a bit of separation in a small cabin. The property management company was great with communication - directions, instructions, and general information - and responded promptly to questions. We enjoyed our stay here and highly recommended it!

Beautiful bnb directly in between Boone and Blowing Rock. Responsive rental company who provides clear instructions for your stay. The space is open and warmly decorated, we had a great time!

We had a wonderful weekend! This is one of the nicest BnB's we've stayed in. Great layout for families. Stylish and comfortable furnishings. Kitchen is well stocked. And you couldn't be closer to Appalachian Ski. Highly recommend

Awesome location, great place with everything we needed! Couldn't have asked for a closer location to Appalachian Ski Mountain, and the hot tub was perfect after a day of skiing and snowboarding! We also got a weekend full of fresh snow, and enjoyed watching it fall from inside the comfortable house! We really enjoyed our stay, and look forward to returning!

This property was exactly as it was listed on VRBO. It was an incredible stay with everything we could've asked for. The hot tub was exceptional, the cleanliness of the property was great, Parking was a little tight for three vehicles but we made it work. We will definitely stay here again.

Had a great Labor Day weekend. Great location 10-15 minutes to Boone and Blowing Rock. Nice house with 3 bedrooms and we took 2 dogs. Would definitely come back. 10 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway and a nice hike in Moses Cone Park

Appalachian Retreat caught our eye because of the beautiful pictures on the Blue Ridge Rentals site. However, when we got to the property, it was even more beautiful than the pictures! It was very well maintained and had so many comforts. The woodwork, decorations and furniture are stunning. The amenities and all that is included in the house added to our trip. We felt that the owners had really taken care in making it nice for us and all renters. It was warm and inviting; spacious, yet cozy and comfortable. It's placed perfectly on the mountain allowing for privacy and ease for venturing out to see the beautiful area. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

We had an amazing time. This was our first time vacationing in North Carolina and the cabin was perfect for our family. You guys really thought of everything - including a baby gate, which was unexpected but came in handy. We are hoping to make it back to the Blowing Rock area during a different season to enjoy other activities. Thank you!

A wonderful and restful trip, we cant wait to visit again soon! We had everything we needed and had WAY more space than anticipated from the photos. We were able to take a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up all the necessary items for grilling, watching football, movie and game nights. We literally only left the cabin to check out!! It was the best weekend getaway EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed from Sept.4 thru Sept 7 at Appalachian Retreat and we loved it. Beautiful great views, had a hot tub. We will stay again if we come back to Boone. Would recommend to everyone!!!

Thank you for allowing our family to call Appalachian Retreat home for the weekends in January and February. We have enjoyed the 2014 Ski Season in Blowing Rock! Our 3 boys (4, 6, & 8 years) thoroughly enjoyed the foosball table, hot tub, and surrounding hills to explore. Your home is cozy, rustic and elegant, and served as our home base while skiing at App! We will highly recommend Appalachian Retreat to friends. Leaving with fond memories!

Our family had a wonderful stay- the home was comfortable and had everything we needed....very "home like" feel. It was a plus being in walking distance to skiing & snowboarding. We started our New Year here. Quiet, relaxing, and even had fireworks down at the ski resort which we watched from right here. Our sons enjoyed hiking in the area as well. Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful time here on the mountain. We were so impressed with this house and how it made us feel so welcome and comfortable. We are so grateful and blessed. God is so good! Enjoyed skiing and tubing and shopping. We will be coming back to stay again- thank you for giving such a great little cabin to live in for a while and for helping us make great memories.
