Overall our group had a very nice stay at the cabin. There are 3 distinct spaces which was great for our group of 3 families. The hot tub was a nice way to relax and enjoy the scenery. The bathrooms could use some updating but were clean and as described. Would stay here again.

Whispering Ridge Retreat is a perfect spot for your mountain getaway! The location near downtown Boone is perfect and there are plenty of nearby options for groceries, restaurants, and activities. We found the house to be clean and super comfortable. The couches are perfect for lounging and the mattresses were in great shape for getting a good night's sleep. We stayed in for most of our meals and the kitchen was incredibly well stocked, it also boasts some of the best knives I've ever seen at a rental property! We loved the view from the back decks while we sipped coffee in the morning or bourbon in the evening. The hot tub also made for a relaxing end to the day, especially after we were busy with pickleball (check out the nearby Summit facility) and hiking. This is a pet friendly location but we had no issues with pet hair, etc during our stay. Also, if you are sensitive to light while sleeping, consider bringing a sleep mask if you are using the king bed in the loft. We look forward to returning to this great spot in Boone!

This cabin is a jackpot for anyone who loves jaw-dropping mountain views, surprise deer visits, and a driveway steep enough to question your life choices. Waking up in the loft felt like living in a nature documentary, complete with actual deer strolling by while we lounged in the hot tub like the mountain VIPs we clearly are. There was even a baby deer—because this place is obviously the Bambi hangout. The “Fun Boxes” in every bathroom and the kitchen were like mystery gifts. Shampoo, body wash—oh, the luxury! We even peeled ourselves away for an App State game and a shopping spree on King Street but couldn’t wait to return to our cozy hideaway. Best perk? Dogs allowed! Our dog Birdie had the time of her life, though she would’ve loved a flat spot for her “business.” Every potty break was an uphill trek that had her giving us serious side-eye. Our young adults took over the basement pool table and basically vanished for hours, which we’re calling a parental win. Quirks? The driveway is a steep adventure that had us praying each time we pulled out—if you hit snow, bring 4WD and a sense of adventure. And if you want ice in your drinks, BYOI (Bring Your Own Ice). The shower caddies are hanging in there, but just barely. All in all, we’d come back in a heartbeat. Birdie, Fun Boxes, driveway thrills, and deer parades—this cabin has it all. Just don’t forget to say a little prayer and brace yourself for that driveway challenge!

My husband and I immediately fell in love with this house!! The view is incredible and the house feels so private, yet is less than 10 minutes from downtown Boone! We stayed with just us and our pups, but there would have been plenty of room for 2 more couples to stay. We were so sad to leave!

Great location. Close proximity to the town of Boone. House had great layout and was exactly as the listing described. The only issue might be the driveway which is very steep but, that’s the price you pay for the view.

All the details important to know were communicated by the management company in a timely fashion. The cabin was as advertised. View of distant mountains was good. Cabin was appointed with all of the critical tools, containers and equipment.

Very nice view, Beautiful home, outside lawn maintenance could make it even nicer. The hot tub was very clean and was enjoyed. The porch and view were enjoyed daily. The entrance to driveway is a bit scary but we got use to it. Very peaceful place. Oh! and especially loved it being 70* and Raleigh was close to 100!

We had a wonderful family vacation here! The host was extremely responsive anytime we had a question, the house was clean and cozy, the hot tub was spacious and clean, and there were pretty mountain views. The property was close to Boone while still feeling like a retreat for our family! Would definitely stay again.

This is a wonderful property. It is well maintained and very clean. The view is spectacular! It is at a higher elevation and was cool even in August! It has a gas grill and all the amenities you need. We also liked that it is very close to town. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

What a wonderful place to get away from the city! The cabin had everything for a group of friends to relax and enjoy some time together. While it's surprisingly close to Boone proper, you'd never know it while you're there. You're surrounded by a wonderful view and tranquil environment. We also really appreciated that this cabin was pet friendly, taking away the burden of having to home them for a getaway.

We loved our stay. This cabin is so comfortable and warm it felt like home right away. The location is very private and peaceful with great views yet a short drive to Boone restaurants and things to do. Hot tub is top notch with a great view. Check in was very easy and communication was great. Definitely would recommend!

The house is great, there is a beautiful view from 2 decks, a hot tub and a grill outside + a cozy living room with a very large smart TV. We had a great time popping in and out of Boone and just chilling at home! The driveway is pretty steep and there was some ice at the top. We never had a problem with it but if it had snowed you need to make sure you are prepared.

Great spot! Great location! The view was gorgeous, especially from the upstairs bed. The porch has a great table for eating meals outside. Lots of space for my 5 month old and 3 year old and us. The driveway was perilous and terrifying, but mountain properties are like that. We used the hot tub, but always forgot to warm it up maybe an hour before use. It was a cool 7 minutes down to town. Of note, if you have a baby and bring your own pack and play mattress, you might want a full sized crib mattress, because a pack and play mattress was too small. But there is a pack and play with sheets! No kids toys, but lots of games downstairs like monopoly and jenga. Overall, would definitely stay again!
