We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful mountain home! From the moment we arrived, we were taken in by the stunning views, fresh mountain air, and peaceful surroundings. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything our family could possibly need for a relaxing getaway.The layout was perfect for our group — plenty of space for everyone to spread out, yet cozy enough to enjoy family time together. We loved cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen, gathering around the fireplace in the evenings, and spending mornings on the deck with coffee in hand, watching the sun rise over the peaks.The location was ideal — close to great hiking trails and scenic drives, but still quiet and private. The hosts were welcoming and responsive, making check-in easy and ensuring our stay went smoothly.We left with full hearts and lasting memories. My family and I have been renting vacation homes for over 20 years. We all agreed that this house was the best rental ever!!! The quality of this home is unmatched. The furnishings are top notch and the kitchen lacks nothing. We love to cook and loved the kitchen and the quality flatware, plates, glassware...everything. The view was wonderful of Grandfather Mt and the colorful mts..The outdoor furniture was great and enhanced sitting on the deck, We all enjoyed the game room and the granddaughters loved the playroom for them. They did not want to go home! The house was very clean and decorated for fall. Landscaping & lighting was impressive. The great camp at Eagles Nest was fun also. I mostly stayed at the house and did crossword puzzles while looking out the huge windows and totally relaxed. We never repeat rentals but this might be the exception! Thanks to the owners for sharing such a wonderful home.

The house was beautifully appointed. There are nuances the owner and future renters should be aware and understand. 1.The floors looked clean but the main living area need to be truly cleaned as was evident when some water got on the floor and paper towel used to clean it up was filthy w dirt and grime. 2.Please change out the kitchen fawcet. It is a designers dream but a users nightmare. Constantly cleaning up water off of surrounding counter. 3.Please update pictures and description of driveway, extremely steep entry and very small area to negotiate turning around. Very dangerous! 4. Please allow all of the bedrooms to have a closet. We were there for six nights and it would be great not to have to be living out of and stepping over the suitcases in an already tight room. This is a downstairs bedroom. The closet was locked and there were only shelves in the room w pipes and hangers for clothes. Constantly having to negotiate around hanging clothes and suitcases. Ended up having to use the closet in another guests' room. 5. If the checkout time is 10:00 please inform all cleaning crews not to show up early, wait and take space in the already small driveway this intrusion puts undue pressure on your guests. Also please no smoking on property while guests are still renting and on property. The first cleaning person showed up at 9:20AM. The second showed up at 9:40AM. One sat in the car w windows down and smoked. The second parked too close to our cars which made it uncomfortable to load and depart without feeling rushed. 6. Be aware if you stay during the summer and on a Saturday the neighborhood hosts concerts at the community facilities on one of the highest peaks. This was extremely loud making it unpleasant to sit on the absolutely beautiful deck and have a relaxing conversation and dinner. 7. Smoke alarm batteries, please replace all of them every 6 months and have plenty in stock on property. These went off in late evening and it took four telephone calls that night and next day, and well over twelve hours to get a person to come and re-sync the house system. (Please note this feedback has been shared with our team - mgt).

I can’t say enough about the peaceful retreat we enjoyed at Walker’s Ridge. The home’s spacious comfort, set in the beautiful mountains, provided just the right mix of intimate gatherings with leisurely explorations of nature and the friendly communities nearby. My wife and I had an amazing time staying at Walker's Ridge at The Lodges of Eagle's Nest over the summer of 2024. We had the privilege of staying there with three other couples and some of their kids for six nights. The home has all the amenities one could want in a beautiful mountain setting. The four and a half bathrooms came in handy too, Lol. The high ceilings both upstairs and downstairs make the home feel extra spacious and the open concept on the main level is perfect for entertaining. The kitchen was fully equipped and all the beds were super comfortable. The kids and men enjoyed the game room. (We had a of couple Poker Nights) My wife and I relaxed in the hot tub out on the deck several times, and everyone enjoyed a night making smores at the outdoor firepit. We took several day trips during our stay which included a visit to Grandfather Mountain, whitewater rafting, blueberry picking & a trip to the city of Boone for souvenir shopping and sightseeing. We also did a couple day hikes within the thousands of acres at Eagle's Nest. On Saturday night the community of Eagle's Nest had live music overlooking the vistas. Some of the dads and kids in our group played pickleball and basketball as well. And while there are lots of things to do within Eagle's Nest and the surrounding areas, the best part was just enjoying the Beautiful Walker's Ridge home where our group created wonderful memories.

Each level has long outdoor deck space for relaxing, barbecuing, large group meals, or soaking in the hot tub. One night, one group stayed up late playing cards in the downstairs living room while another group watched a movie in the great room upstairs, and each group had total privacy. Separately, there is a roomy fire pit area where we made s‘mores, gazed at the stars, and enjoyed the crisp mountain air. The kitchen had everything we needed and more for storing groceries and cooking big meals for all 12 of us. It was a close drive down the mountain to the grocery store, Grandfather Mountain, river rafting, and nice restaurants nearby. Walker’s Ridge had everything we hoped for in a vacation home in the mountains. We loved it!

Walker’s Ridge, a luxurious, modern mountain home, comfortably housed our family and friends. Having 2 college age men with us, demanded space, adventure and lots of fun time which was afforded them in the game room in this vacation home getaway. Located past the laundry room, we never even heard the laughter and yelling from all the fun the kids were having. The design layout of the home was so thoughtful. The morning views from our bedroom window of the lush green forests, and the bears and deer were exciting, a little scary and something to behold! You could even see Grandfather Mountain from our window! The bed and pillows were so lush and comfy with embroidered “WR” initialed comforters. They provided a sound restful sleep each night. The bathroom was spa-like with a stand alone soaker bathtub. The kitchen is loaded with every appliance you need to make wonderful meals, deserts, and treats for your family! Lots of grocery space for whatever you want to make or buy and store for your time there. My Walker’s Ridge, North Carolinian experience in the plush greenery of Eagles Nest was a bucket list come true! You and your family and friends will have a wonderful stay at Walker’s Ridge, we did!!! Encouraging y’all to do come and experience modern mountain living in the cozy hills of North Carolina!! Seeing this home will take your breath away and spending time there will give you memories to keep for a lifetime.

Walker’s Ridge is FANTASTIC! First trip to North Carolina and Walker’s Ridge did not disappoint! Could not have asked for a better stay. This new, custom home is absolutely stunning, extremely well- appointed, and the hosts have thought of everything we could ever need (including some things we didn’t know we needed!). Common areas were spacious and elegant, and easily accommodated our friends reunion with plenty of areas to gather and private spots to enjoy some quiet time. And the kitchen! We so enjoyed spreading out in the gorgeous chef’s kitchen to prepare meals and drinks, and then gathering at the long dining room table to reminisce and catch up on decades of friendship. Each bedroom with its own bathroom offered top of the line mattresses/bedding/towels – very luxurious in every way. The multi-level decks and fire pit were icing on the cake. Mountains and surrounding areas are just beautiful! We enjoyed seeing so much wildlife, a bit of mushroom foraging, walks in the beautiful woods, wineries, shopping, a fantastic concert at the main lodge – the list goes on. We hope to return to Walker’s Ridge!

Walker’s Ridge, located at Eagles Nest is a place to behold! But what set it apart? The new house is gorgeous and so beautiful. The house has a simple but elegant environment for a great time whether it is bonding, family time, romantic, or you name it. And since it’s a brand-new house, along with it are new and elegant things. The kitchen where connections are built is conducive to such, spacious and classy. As you gaze where the house is located, it is very appealing since it is surrounded by mountains having a grand view of Grandfather Mountain on a clear day. The backyard has the aura of mystery among the forest that may draw friendly bears and deer grazing peacefully within your visibility. Don’t make me forget to talk about the community itself. It is grand to know that we can tour alongside the mountain and the perks!!! There are several activities that you can do! We did a short trail hike, we had a great outdoor lunch from the restaurant (decently priced), we attended a concert on a Saturday, and what blew my mind away is the friendliness of the people with a very relaxing environment. You feel safe just walking and exploring. What a beautiful sight to see as you explore within the community, the different house designs, it is pleasing to the sight. I’d be remiss if I didn’t include the convenience of Eagles Nest in getting to Blowing Rock. We had a fabulous lunch outside and just did some window shopping. There are boutiques that are just perfect, where you may not find it anywhere else. We did not have enough time to explore more..... so we need to go back! I already have been recommending Walker’s Ridge to others.

Walker's Ridge was a perfect spot for our family vacation this summer! We stayed for an extended weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. The house is amazing and there is plenty of space to gather as a family or find your quiet spot to relax. The kids loved the game room and cooking smores out by the fire at night and with extra large porches, we were able to enjoy the weather and look out over the beautiful landscape all around us. The furnishings are perfect and you can tell that no details were overlooked. As for the location, we could have spent a week without leaving Eagles Nest and we would have enjoyed every minute. Between the multiple parks and amenities located within the community, there were so many activities for the kids and adults that we couldn't do them all in just a few days. The kids climbed the rock wall, practiced their archery, played mini golf and explored. There was wildlife everywhere and we enjoyed just strolling around the mountain seeing all of the beautiful views. We also visited Grandfather Mountain State Park, which you can see from the house, and that is a recommended trip for the whole family. The only complaint I can think of is that we didn't stay longer but we are already looking forward to our next trip to Walker's Ridge.

The furnishings are perfect and you can tell that no details were overlooked. As for the location, we could have spent a week without leaving Eagles Nest and we would have enjoyed every minute. Between the multiple parks and amenities located within the community, there were so many activities for the kids and adults that we couldn't do them all in just a few days. The kids climbed the rock wall, practiced their archery, played mini golf and explored. There was wildlife everywhere and we enjoyed just strolling around the mountain seeing all of the beautiful views. We also visited Grandfather Mountain State Park, which you can see from the house, and that is a recommended trip for the whole family. The only complaint I can think of is that we didn't stay longer but we are already looking forward to our next trip to Walker's Ridge.

Walkers Ridge is located in a beautiful area with fabulous views. The house is beautifully appointed with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The mountain ambiance was cozy and warm. By day we hiked from the property to a waterfall, told stories at the fire pit at dusk, and finished the day in the hot tub. The kids loved the game room too. We cannot wait to come back again for our family reunion next year.

Walkers Ridge is located in a beautiful area with fabulous views. The house is beautifully appointed with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The mountain ambiance was cozy and warm. My wife and I recently spent a week at Walker’s Ridge with our family including adult children and a load of grandchildren from 6 months to 6 years. We had an awesome time. There is so much to see and do! And you don’t even have to leave the house! It’s incredible. The game room kept the kids entertained (the ADULT kids loved it too!) while the adults were preparing the meals or just relaxing. The house has everything you need for both. And when you do go out there are so many things to see and do that it’s hard to decide what to do next! The house has a beautiful view to the south. You can see Grandfather Mountain, which is a great place to visit by the way, but you don’t even have to leave Eagles nest to enjoy the great scenery and wildlife. We saw deer, bears, groundhogs, beautiful foliage and more. There are hiking trails for all ages and if you want you can rent UTV’s and go deep into the woods on some great well marked UTV trails. And when you get back there is a very soothing hot tub to relax those tired muscles, one of my personal favorites. And there’s more. Concerts in the summer, a winery, ropes course, it goes on and on! We can’t wait to come back!
