Great place to stay. It has more amenities than the management company said it would. The actual owners of the place have it very well stocked for guests. Only thing we had to bring was a pack n play for our baby. Beautiful view at the top of the mountain! Super cozy for Christmas with all of their decorations.

I cannot give this property enough praises. It was, by far, the best cabin experienced we have had to date! It was absolutely perfect for our family. We stayed with our daughter, her husband, and our 2 grandkids. The downstairs is separated with doors on the upper and lower floors so it was perfect for containing our 18 month old grandson (who loves climbing stairs, lol). The cabin itself was so solid (you could not hear a peep from anyone downstairs or upstairs...huge plus for peeps with babies!) The master bedroom on the main floor was amazing. The great room was so comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with every cooking item you could every need/want. The upper floor has a contained deck so we were comfortable letting the kiddos and the dog roam free in that area. Everything was clean, perfect, and completely family friendly. If you have never experienced a cabin vacation...you have to stay here! You will never rent another hotel room again. Thank you so much for letting us stay at your gorgeous property!

Property was great. It was clean and cozy, and had everything you needed. A large full kitchen on the main floor with probably enough to make a turkey dinner for 10 people if you wanted. A nice wood burning stove, large deck with grill, rocking chairs, outdoor table and seating, etc. Downstairs, there was plenty of room for my 3 kids, an air hockey table that seemed in constant use, and of course another deck with hot tub. Very relaxing at the end of the day. Host provided many extras - towels, soap, etc., that we brought just in case. Nice and quiet, mostly secluded, with great views of the mountains.
One word of consideration; this cabin is 4.5 miles from the main road (15-20 min), on sections of paved and dirt, steep and windy roads. And some of the dirt sections are more like a trail than a road. So, make sure your vehicle has some ground clearance and make sure to get anything you need while you are out. And, if there's winter weather, well...be prepared.

The mountain house was exactly as described. We ended up renting a rental car that was four-wheel-drive and I’m so glad we did. You definitely need a four-wheel-drive vehicle in the winter months. This was our second visit to Van Beek's Peak and we absolutely love this cabin. Even though the pictures online are beautiful, they don't do this home justice. The main level and loft are so roomy and the downstairs is like a whole other house! Our children and their spouses and our new grandbaby stayed down there and loved the privacy and spaciousness. We have only visited during the winter months but we hope to come back in another season. Of course, as you all make it very clear, if it snows, you will definitely need a 4 wheel drive and/or chains because it is definitely in the mountains, but we highly recommend this cabin if you are wanting a get away!

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family trip this past weekend! The kitchen is extremely well stocked with cooking utensils which made it easy for us to prepare breakfast for ten two mornings as well as grill out for the group Saturday night. We did not use the indoor fireplace but took advantage of the outdoor firepit two out of three nights. The cabin is equipped woth plenty folding chairs for the firepit, an ax, and even had extendable roasting sticks for marshmallows (or hotdogs, or whatever you'd pierce and fire). The kids loved checkers in the loft and air hockey on the lower level, and all the adults (and one teen) in the family fit in the cleanest hot tub I've ever seen at a rental. Overall, this cabin was amazing, an after years and years of renting in the area, we all agreed that this was our favorite place so far!

This is the perfect place for a family vacation! Clean, comfortable, spacious, and is stocked with plenty of towels and kitchen necessities. The view off the back porch is beautiful and the location allows for easy access to local restaurants, shops, and trails. We had a wonderful time.

Great home and we had a wonderful time in the snow.
Make sure you have a 4 wheel drive if snow is predicted.
Just a few recommendations that the house needed more of (these things are cheap):
Fire starters & lighter, dishwasher tabs, washing-up liquid.
Kitchen needs a knife sharpener but has everything else.

Lovely home in the mountains. The house was very well-equipped and perfect for our family. It was very comfortable and the views out over the mountains were spectacular. Her daughter and her family stayed in the lower apartment and we had the master on the main floor. My nephew took the loft. Plenty of room for all of us to spread out. They all got a lot of use out of the hot tub. We didn't love the drive up Justus or Nettles Ridge Road so we tried to do that just once per day. But once we got to the house, everything was perfect. We got very lucky with the weather and really enjoyed the area. Blue Ridge Rentals was very communicative and provided plenty of information and assistance. We had an amazing time at Van Beek's Peek. A fantastic choice for those looking for a relaxing weekend. The views are great and the location is close to a good variety of things to do. Keep in mind that they don’t lie about the need for a car that can handle a little bit of off road. The cabin itself has a well thought out layout with living areas that are big enough to fit your entire group in one area. The hot tub is always a plus.

Everything about the house and location was awesome. The house is beautiful and fully stocked. Our only complaints pertain to the property manager. We called them the first day because the bathtub on the lower level didn’t drain properly and a bunch of nasty stuff came up out of the drain. They never came to fix it even though they said they’d be there the next morning. Also, though the house itself was very clean, there were many things that weren’t clean. The grill was filthy, the dryer lint trap was full of lint, there were a couple pans with dried food in them, and many of the glasses look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Van’s Beak Peak. The private drive up to the cabin was off the beaten path and made it feel more special. The living room/kitchen layout was perfect. The upper deck had a descent view, if a trees were cut it would really open up the view of the mountains. The cabin had games and some entertainment that was a nice perk. The crown jewel to me of the cabin was the wood stove. We used the wood stove everyday we stayed. The only downfall and it was very small was the coffee pot would not work right, but that’s peanuts. We look forward in coming back again!

Our vacation was absolutely wonderful! This company has been outstanding to work with! They stayed in touch before during and after our stay to make sure we had driving instructions, to make sure we had everything we need when we arrived and to make sure we made it home safely afterwards. We stayed here for a short weekend trip. My only regret is that we could not stay longer. This cabin had everything you could want and more! Plenty of room to spread out, while also having plenty of opportunities to spend time together, from watching tv in either of the two den areas, to playing the xbox, a competitive game of air hockey or just relaxing in the hot tub. I would love to go back for a week and stay in this cabin and never leave the entire stay. A very well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need to fix all the meals you want. We loved the secluded location and the breathtaking views. This cabin is truly a home away from home, so very tastefully decorated. I would love to go back for a week and stay in this cabin and never leave the entire stay. A very well stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need to fix all the meals you want. We loved the secluded location and the breathtaking views. This cabin is truly a home away from home, so very tastefully decorated. We will definitely be back, hopefully in the summer and will be booking this cabin again. Thanks so much for opening up your home to us.

We had no trouble getting to the cabin and the view itself made it worth every penny. The location was perfect for us, right in the middle of Beech and Sugar Mtn and the hot tub was a godsend especially after spending the whole day on the slopes. Thank you for a great place

We had a great long weekend in the mountains. This house is great, wonderful setting, lots of space, great kitchen, and outdoor areas. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and wandering through the quiet streets. We always love visiting Valle Crucis, Boone, and Blowing Rock. Can't wait to return!

We stayed for a weekend with a group of friends expecting to go skiing. Although the weather didn't agree with our plans, we still had a great time enjoying the cabin scenery and great accommodations. We also made the short drive to the Banner Elk winery for a great wine tasting and live music. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

This is an absolutely gorgeous cabin stocked with everything you need. We had four teens with us who really appreciated their own space on the lower level. There were games, a TV, movies, a foosball table, their own kitchen and a hot tub. The kitchen upstairs is fully stocked. We made homemade pizzas and they even had a pizza pan and pizza cutter. We got 8 inches of beautiful snow so we all played in the snow and the road made for an awesome sledding hill (there were no cars). Our only problem was that due to the snow the road to the cabin was still impassable to our SUV with 4 wheel drive. A kindly neighbor with snow tires drove us to our cabin. The second day my husband, who is experienced in driving in snow, was able to get one of our SUVs up. I called the rental personnel several times and the were always very kind and helpful. We skied at near by Sugar Mountain and all had a great time. My kids are all beginners at skiing but fell in love with the sport. Overall, we had a wonderful mini vacation at this beautiful cabin. I would highly recommend it.
