Welcome to Up the Creek! Discover the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort in this beautifully updated single-level 2 bedroom, 1 bath farmhouse.  Nestled near a serene creek in Linville, this cabin offers a peaceful retreat with nature at your doorstep.

Inside you will find:
  • Two spacious bedrooms, each filled with natural light and offering cozy, restful slumber. 
  • A fully renovated bathroom, combining farmhouse elegance with contemporary fixtures. 
  • An inviting living room with a two-way gas fireplace, perfect for relaxing evenings or gathering with loved ones.  
  • A bright, modern kitchen with updated appliances, ample counter space, and farmhouse-style touches. 

Step outside to enjoy the spacious wrap around covered deck with comfortable seating in all seasons.  Warm up by the two-way gas fireplace, or stay cool under the outdoor ceiling fans.  In the manicured yard, sit out under the stars, while roasting s'mores at the fire pit. 

Up The Creek is an amazing home base for folks who love hiking! Gragg Prong Falls trailhead is just half a mile away, and Flat Rock Loop Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway is close by as well. On the weekends, take State Highway 90 on down the hill to historic Coffey's General Store & Museum. Linville, Newland and Grandfather Mountain are all about 30 minutes away when you want to stock up on groceries or grab a bite to eat! 

This Linville farmhouse is conveniently located yet tucked away, providing that perfect mix of that relaxing getaway and having easy access to nearby amenities.  

HOUSE LAYOUT
SINGLE LEVEL layout for added convenience and less stairs that most mountain homes!  - only 7 steps from the driveway to the entry door

Full bath in hall with custom tiled tub/shower, modern farmhouse sink and great lighting. 

Queen sleeper sofa in the living room as an additional sleeping option. 

Additional Notes and Rules:
  • Please note that we are not pet friendly.  Thank you for not bringing animals to this home.
  • All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. 
  • Check in is after 4pm
  • Checkout by 10am
  • Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. 
  • No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
  • Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals.
  • No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed. Keep outside noise respectable.
  • 4WD/AWD and/or chains required during times of snow/ice for all mountain homes- it is your responsibility to come prepared for winter weather. No refunds are given if you are not prepared for winter weather. 
  • The driveway is level and flat, but the last five miles are on a narrow, gravel road.
  • Guest is responsible for any damages caused by intentional (non-accidental) actions. 
  • Host is not responsible for items left in the home.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Up the Creek was immaculate. Such a comfortable and inviting home. The views were glorious. Perfect fall colors all around…everyone we met on the Parkway was very nice and didn't mind interacting with strangers(you don't get that interaction everywhere you go) Enjoyed making memories there. Staff was friendly and quick with response when we had digital entry code issue upon arrival. We are repeat clients already and plan on many future visits to Western N.C. Mountains with you guys.!

I rented “Up The Creek” along with my friends for a girls weekend. This place is beautiful from the time you walk through the door you will feel the warm cozy and relaxing feeling of this place. The decor is very unique and beautiful. We loved the double sided fireplace that you can enjoy from the inside or from the outside porch. The location was great as well, close to Banner Elk and Linville. I would highly recommend “Up The Creek”. I give this rental a 5 star and will be renting again in the future.
