The cabin was as described in the photos! Lots of space, tons to do within reasonable miles; lots of privacy and lots of fun for the kids. Would stay again!

The cabin was beautiful, very clean, and had everything we needed. The only thing we had a problem with was the TV in the living room didn't work and the hot water on the second and third floor ran out very quickly.

Our stay at the Timber Lodge was enjoyable and definitely a good experience! We are five musicians and we call ourselves South of Dallas Band. This was our seventh annual “Guys weekend” Band retreat and our stay at the Timber Lodge did not disappoint. Timber Lodge had plenty of room down stairs around the pool table to set up our gear for our rehearsals, jamming sessions and writing original music. Comfortable bedrooms, all bathroom amenities, movie / gaming room, kitchen/dining/living space with the gas logs provided a warm and comfortable environment. The outside amenities with both front porch and rear decks, top and bottom, landscaping around the property with a fire pit area, provided plenty of safe spaces to enjoy. Cabin is located off the beaten path on a gravel road which provided some good hiking opportunities and a peaceful atmosphere day and night. Only 15 minutes away from downtown Boone. Would definitely recommend visiting the Timber Lodge!!

Our multigenerational family could not have found a more perfect spot for our skiing weekend stay. The living space off the kitchen kept us all together with plenty of room to relax around a warm fire and windows on three sides to enjoy whatever weather the day might bring. The large basement holds lots to enjoy great family fun We are so glad to find this lovely cabin. We had heard the reviews that there is no noise insulation from upstairs and fortunately for us , we were traveling with kids and with noise machines that helped us navigate the challenge. We were also thankful to be driving our four wheel vehicles to navigate a fairly steep driveway. It was a great stay!

Timber Lodge couldn't have been more perfect for our Christmas family get-away! It felt like a dream home away from home. All three generations enjoyed the cabin's cozy, comfortable spaces, and the kitchen was perfect for cooking all our holiday favorites. We really enjoyed the warmth of the kerosene fireplace during the bitter cold snap, too.

We really enjoyed our stay in the home. It is very welcoming, organized, and clean. We have never stayed in a rental that had so many things on hand for cooking. My husband loved it! Lots of fun to be had in basement with ping pong and pool table. Loved the kids bunkbed room even though we didn't use it. Check out process is so easy. Although I remembered this morning I forgot to start dishwasher before I left, so hope they aren't too upset with me. 😁 Would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our weekend at Timber Lodge! Blue Ridge Rentals made everything easy and the reservation/check in/check out process was seamless! The cabin was the perfect size for our group of 8 (and we could have comfortably housed a few more!) The living spaces were great (both the main floor living room/kitchen/dining and the basement game room! Everything was spotless and cozy! I will say that the outdoor spaces (deck, fire pit area) were smaller than you might want with a large group, but the inside definitely makes up for that.

We loved the game room downstairs (ping pong and pool table!), and my teenagers were thrilled to have privacy…this place is really set up perfectly for families with kids/teens. So many DVDs, books, games, and the best equipped kitchen I've ever experienced in a rental. We grabbed groceries in Boone (about 20-25 minutes away) and cooked/ate in for most of the trip, which was so nice. The main floor bedroom and stand up shower was great from my mother who struggles with stairs, and since there is a back deck and front porch that only involved two steps, this house was perfect! I took the boys kayaking down the New River, which was absolutely amazing. If you need a secluded, relaxing place to de-stress and reconnect with your kids, you can't go wrong with this place! The cabin has such a cozy vibe, surrounded by trees and fresh mountain air….We will definitely stay here again!

Our group of friends have been to countless cabins together and we love to cook nice dinners. This cabin had the most fully stocked kitchen we've ever stayed in. It was so refreshing. They had every kitchen tool we needed and even had Tupperware for leftovers! We loved the pool table, ping pong, and backyard fire pit. We truly enjoyed this cabin and we didn't want to leave. Even though our cellphone didn't work that was the best part because we spent time together without the ringing of the phone. The cabin was very nice and clean,plenty of pots and pans we were able to cook Christmas breakfast and dinner. I think my grandkids enjoyed it more than the adults, but we all love the game room. It truly was the most wonderful time of the year. I can truly say this cabin is a very good one to stay at if you want family time togetherness. I would like to come here again

First time renting this place and the owners did a wonderful job with the gorgeous wood work. Everyone in the group really enjoyed the residence and we decided when we return we wood rent it again and maybe use more of the amenities. Even though it took several attempts to contact the rental company in reference to questions Heather was awesome and had quick responses and even contacted me on arrival to make sure all was good and even gave me her on call number if I had any problems. My wife and I had a really good time in this very nice cabin. If you like quiet and away from it all, this is the place. Other Cabin's are close by but we never saw or heard anyone. The cabin was very clean. The owner thought of everything you might want or need. We have stayed in 5 different cabins in and around this area and this was by far one of the best places, if you like secluded and clean and mountain setting. No long views when there's foliage on the trees. But we wanted to be secluded. To the owner, my wife and I thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your great cabin. And thank you for the Veterans discount.

The cabin was even better than we expected! There were more beds that I had originally viewed which was a huge perk! The home was clean and well stocked. The downstairs "hangout" area was perfect for the teens when we had some down time at the cabin. The drive into town wasn't bad either as we were there for App State's Family Weekend. It was quiet and never heard any of the neighbors. Will definitely stay here again and that was the consensus of everyone who was with us.

We had a fun trip to the Boone area. The house had a nice room downstairs with ping pong, pool, and darts. We also enjoyed the outside fire pit and the wood delivery service was a huge help.
