The Raven

What a great house and location! We have two families stay over the long weekend (4 adults and 4 teens), and everyone had plenty of space and lots to do! House is very well equipped with everything you need and only a mile from beech mountain resort! We loved it!!

This was by far one of my favorite trips. We felt right at home. The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything we needed after a long day on the slopes. The location was perfect. We can't wait to stay here again!

The home was exactly as shown and perfect for our needs. The 7-year old loved the air hockey table and learned about the different pool games. He's got a good eye for bank shots! We enjoyed being at home and the many activities (hiking, mini-golf, gem mining, etc.) that were available nearby. (If you are arriving later, it is worth stopping at the grocery store at the bottom of the mountain before heading up to make your larger consumable purchase.) Communication by Blue Ridge Rentals was spot on and timely. They did what they said they would do at every step. This was our first vacation in 7 years and we absolutely loved it!

Words cannot fully express how much this week has meant to our family. This is our first family vacation since MS attack caused me to become disabled 6 years ago. This means it's the first family vacation my 7 year old will actually remember. When thinking of somewhere we could go, we were nervous about crowds and especially temperature, since MS tends to not like extreme heat. This place, your beautiful home, was perfect! The people we encountered were extremely friendly, the temps were perfect, and the house was amazing. Even when my energy was getting low, I could sit back and watch my husband and son have a blast playing games, hiking, etc. I'm sad leaving this amazing place, but am forever grateful for these memories and this time for family, laughs, love, and healing! I hope we will be able to come back in the future. Thank you again for opening your home to us and thinking of all the perfect touches to make us feel comfortable and at home upon arrival. I'm sure I'll be teary eyed as we leave the 61 degree temps and head toward our 98 degree weather at home, not only due to the weather, but also because this mountain community and atmosphere has felt like home for the past week! Thanks again! PS The deer sightings were crazy, but added such fun to our trip! We even saw a bear on our drive toward Boone!

The Medina family came with mom and dad, our 5 kids, and 1 family friend. The weather was beautiful. Our 17 year old toured App State. We hiked Grassy Gap Creek Trail. We played games and ate lots of good food. The house was wonderful. So cozy. We loved the games for the kids, and mom and dad enjoyed evenings by the fireplace. House was so beautifully decorated and warm and inviting. 5 adults, 2 kids and 2 dogs loved our stay here. Plenty of space, super comfy accommodations, great view, surprisingly good skiing conditions, lovely walk around Lake Coffey. Perfect vacation spot. We'll be back!
