Was tricky to find, especially in the dark, as Eagle's Nest is a private gated community, basically on top of a mountain.
However, was beautiful and many improvements in process for this community members. Houses were gorgeous, including this one. Unbelievable views and extremely well-appointed. We weren't there long enough to enjoy everything and never got to use the fire pit or the hot-tub, as we had to leave early to be able to get off the mountain in the snow. The Epic Chophouse that is a private restaurant for Eagle's Nest owners & guests, was awesome and we ate there both nights and had wonderful service, food and drink.
Will plan to come back in the spring/summer.

Beautiful community with amazing views and scenery. The home was well-stocked with many kitchen appliances and other needed creature comforts. Perfect for two couples who both want King Beds plus a great downstairs for kids with their own separate gathering room with lots of books and games including a pool table. The "Dollar General" store within the community is very handy because you can get almost anything you need 24 hours a day without having to trek very far to town. There is a vibrant pickleball community there that was open and accepting of players at all levels. I would definitely consider coming back to this home or another larger house if I had more people with me. During the winter, 4 wheel drive would be absolutely necessary due to the steep and winding roads (which of course give you the best views and privacy).

The guardian bear lodge was the perfect place to stay for our family vacation. We stayed there for 5 nights with my three and five year old sons. They loved the bunk room and the selection of toys books, puzzles and board games was a huge bonus! The house was very clean and came equipped with everything we needed. We loved the fire pit, grill and hot tub! The neighborhood had a lot of amenities that we enjoyed including a concert in the neighborhood amphitheater, dinner and views at epic chophouse, two playgrounds, and hiking trails. We had a great time and would come back to the guardian bear again!

This place was AMAZING! The property and location was perfect. They thought of every amenity you could possibly need - Games, hot tub, toiletries, books, extra blankets, chargers, cooking supplies, etc. Hosts were responsive and check in and check out instructions were a breeze and informative. …And the Eagles Nest community!!! We've stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and Guardian Bear was one of the best ones we've stayed in. Beautifully furnished, modern, clean, and lots of nice touches like the remote control window shades and automated outdoor lighting. Another unexpected perk was the long-range mountains view that was better than in the property pics. We had zero issues during our stay. This was our first stay in Eagles Nest and it was also wonderful; what a lovely neighborhood. Really enjoyed our time there!

The house is beautiful, so well-equipped and perfect for families. The outdoor seating and fire pit were our favorite spot and there is even a small grill at the fire pit. Having two areas to relax on two floors made a nice separation for the adults and kids when needed. Eagles Nest had fun offerings that meant we didn't have to leave the mountain every day. We have rented in the area for a decade and this was the best home by far.

We recently stayed in The Guardian Bear Lodge at Eagles Nest and I cannot speak highly enough of this property or of our experience! We had two families so the layout of GBL was perfect for us - two adult couples and a small group of kids who were able to have their own space in the bottom floor, which with the bunk room, game room, and tv area was big enough to keep them happy and not on top of each other. The home was fully stocked with brand new items of anything you could possibly want or need - from the large variety of games in the library upstairs and also downstairs, to every utensil that could be necessary for cooking, to the beautifully curated books and art throughout the house. When we checked in the entire place was immaculate. The great room was large enough that we all had space to stretch out yet also felt warm and cozy - so comfortable after a long day of skiing and snowboarding. The entire home was modern - incorporating architectural natural aspects from the surrounding area - so our entire stay we felt like we were in a luxury lodge unique to the Blue Ridge. We were all very impressed with the entire property. One thing I will mention that other reviews have not - I especially liked was the circle driveway - which although it was not snowy the weekend we were there - if it had been snowy, having a flat easily accessible driveway during wintertime driving makes life so much easier. I could write a novel about this home, starting with the monmon cat book (I thought i was the only one who knew of this artist haha!) but then it might book up for the rest of the year. It’s going to be tough to keep this one a secret. We will definitely be back!! Thank you again to the homeowners and to Blue Ridge for a wonderful stay - memories to last a lifetime.

We had a wonderful stay and the house is amazing! It comfortably fit 6 adults and 5 kiddos with tons of things to do in the house…board games for the adults, hot wheels cars, marble mazes and tons of books for the kiddos. They had so many kids items (cups, utensils, pack n play, high chair) and the kitchen was stocked with a griddle, instapot, tons of nice pots and pans. The closets had excess blankets and towels. They really thought of everything!! Beds and pillows were comfortable too. We would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing get away.
Eagles Nest is such a neat community too! The kids loved the play area by the amphitheater & the adults loved the winery :) we even saw a black bear crossing the road on our drive in.

We loved the home and it was very clean inside and very well maintained. We love this area and would definitely come back again. Only complaint is we called customer service to tell them about the dirty hot tub and long grass as no where for dogs to go bathroom and they said they would take care of issue but no one ever came out and helped with the issue so once you get to home be prepared if you need anything no one comes out to help so property is the way they have it ready but it is beautiful and overall very clean and people are very friendly
