Large home, convenient to Boone. Very nice view of Grandfather Mountain. During our week long stay, we did not have a working gas fireplace. Check to be sure it is repaired. There was also a problem with the deck railings on the top floor and they were marked with yellow caution tape to warn people not to lean on them. As others have said, could use larger TV in Den, and utensils could be updated in the kitchen. Master bedroom would benefit from some comfortable seating for reading in a location away from the main activity area on the top floor. We felt it was located well for Boone and Blowing Rock access. The office was very organized and inviting. I spent decades in the senior living business, so customer service is paramount to me. The Stags Leap home is very spacious with 5400 sq ft, so everyone has space to relax. The location is ideal to visit Boone, Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge PW and the wineries. The views are spot on. All bedrooms are large and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is to invest in the TVs. It's very affordable now to have high def and I would just have Roku devices in all so the guest can use their own log ins especially during college football season! Too many remotes to navigate. You may want to bring your favorite frying pans😉. A great place to stay.

The game room was great with pool table, ping pong, big screen TV, and hot tub just outside on the deck. Kitchen had everything we needed. The views were stunning. Our stay at Stags Leap was incredibly peaceful. We appreciate the owner(s) for sharing the home with us and BRMR for providing an elite level of service. The home itself was grand, with well appointed furnishings and beautiful artwork. The best feature was the ever-changing views of Grandfather Mountain. Our family enjoyed each level of the home and loved the convenience to Blowing Rock and Boone. We saw deer and rabbits everyday on our walks. This is definitely the place to relax and enjoy a little mountain luxury.

We had a wonderful stay in the perfect home. The house is spacious enough for two families with children. Fantastic main floor and the kids really loved the game room. It snowed while we were there, and it has a wonderful neighborhood to walk around in. We had a few initial issues with the property, but Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals sent someone out immediately to take care of. Will be looking to stay at this home again. I can't say enough great things about stags leap!!!! The pictures don't do the home or view justice! It felt so luxurious with the hot tub, amenities, updated master shower, etc. The view of grandfather mountain from the deck and living room is AMAZING! The fireplace was our favorite part, but being 10 minutes from the heart of Boone was a close second. We are already planning another date to reserve stags leap again. This was the perfect place for our family's mountain getaway! Only five miles from Boone and close to some really nice hiking trails, but the house itself was also a lovely and relaxing retreat. We loved walking in the development and really enjoyed the last of the fall foliage.

Stag's Leap is an impressive house and well equipped and suited for extended visits. The location was perfect, views of Grandfather Mountain were wonderful. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals, the management company, was easy to work with, helpful in offering house options and listened to our questions. BRMR provided insight about Boone and Blowing Rock and the neighboring communities. BRMR reached out to us once we arrived to check in and offer assistance.

We arrived and everything was stunning, just as in the pictures. The house is beautiful and enormous, with seemingly endless floors and bedrooms. The views are really what you're paying for--just magnificent. We had a great time hanging out, playing games, and watching the sun set in the hot tub. Close by to some great hiking trails, but research ahead of time whether there are road closures and whether some trails are *truly* dog-friendly, as we found out last-minute that some summits had ladders that you needed to scale. We couldn't figure out how to get the fireplace working for the life of us; had we stayed longer than a quick weekend, I'm sure we would have gotten someone out to help us. The game room was a tiny bit musty. Otherwise, communication with the rental place was great! Far superior to some other cabins we've stayed at recently as safe-r travel alternatives during the pandemic. I would probably go directly through them in the future. We were deciding between this place and another; I'm so glad we went with this one. We really got the "cabin" experience.

The door code provided by the renter did not work when we arrived, and had to contact property manager which was helpful after several attempts to reach them. The home is four stories with no elevator so you will stay in shape. Game room is awesome. The jacuzzi jwts in the master bathroom would not work properly and there was trash left in the garage from previous renters. It’s a long ways up the mountain on dangerous curvy roads so you have to be extremely careful. Overall we enjoyed the home and the stay. Oh yea- recommendation only one person at a time take a shower, with four bathrooms water pressure is terrible if two people are showering at the same time.

A truly magical Christmas at Stags Leap for our family! This is a beautiful house that accommodated our family of 8 perfectly! Decorated perfectly for the holidays. The views were outstanding! Great place to stay in Boone, about 30 min from Sugar mountain. Grocery store and gas station 12 min from the house, super convenient. Amazing game room in the basement. My family spent most of the time down there. Fireplace is very comfortable, and the balcony faces some beautiful views. Would highly recommend for a family gathering. Also they allowed us for a late checkout since no one was reserved the next day, so they are super understanding and always available for communication.

Our stay at Stag's Leap was nothing short of perfect! The house is even more beautiful and magnificent in person than what the great pictures show online. The view of the mountains was incredible, especially with all of the Fall colors. The house was filled with nice touches and plenty of handy items (extra toiletries, blankets, comforters, cooking material). We had everything we could have needed there. The drive into the downtown of Boone and Blowing Rock was extremely short and accessible, making for fun day trips. The rental company was quick to answer any questions or concerns and made all trip details clear in the binder, which also included very helpful local tips! We will definitely make a trip back!

This home is beautiful with breathtaking views! Expect to climb a lot of stairs as the home overall has 4 levels (from loft to basement). Also access to the garage is on a different street than the address listed, but is easy to find.

The facility was well represented on the website and pictures. Blue Mountain Rentals was very efficient and met expectations. "Mother Nature" was NOT very welcoming with a deluge of rain and strong winds. However, at no time did we feel unsafe within the structure of Stags Leap. We had an enjoyable weekend in spite of weather conditions.

Stag's Leap fully met and exceeded our expectations. The view of Grandfather Mountain was breathtaking. The decor was tasteful, comfortable, pragmatic, and beautiful. There was plenty to do in the home. The well equipped gorgeous kitchen was used frequently as a common gathering area to prepare, cook, eat meals, and talk about nothing and everything simultaneously. My husband and I celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary there with our children, their spouses, and seven of our grandchildren. Everyone had a marvelous time playing billiards, ping pong, games, and socializing. Great attractions were in close proximity, which made it easy for us to hike, shop, and eat out. My two year old granddaughter was mesmerized by the horses down the road and is still talking about petting one on the head. This home is a keeper, and we hope to return.

Stags Leap is an amazing property and perfect for a large family gathering. Blue Ridge Rental was most knowledgeable in helping us locate the perfect rental-one that played an important role in our family celebration. The house had everything we could possibly need-the floorplan was such that everyone had plenty of room, entertainment for the kids on the lower level, quiet space for the grown ups and wonderful kitchen facilities for meal preparation for large groups. The neighborhood is lovely and the house has the most spectacular view of Grandfather Mountain. No better way to enjoy an early cup of coffee.

Perfect location for our Ladies Retreat! We had 18 ladies attend with more than adequate sleeping accommodations, plenty of spacious living area, wonderful large game room for a meeting area, more video/audio equipment than we could ever use, and the view was absolutely breath-taking inside and out! After searching over 70 rentals and contacting several offices, I was delighted to get in touch with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. They were professional, kind, easy to work with, and able to listen to what we needed then find several options to fit within our dates and budget. We ended up staying at Stags Leap over Memorial Day Weekend. We had 8 adults and 6 kids and had an enjoyable stay. Honestly, I was concerned at first that it said the place allowed large dogs. None of us are pet owners. However, had I not read it, I would have never known that dogs had been in the house. We had plenty of room to spread out, or if all together we did not feel crunched on top of each other. The house was beautiful and we appreciated all the decorations and extra touches the homeowners had done - from the artwork, to the faucet above the stove. While a small detail - I was especially delighted to see that the bunk bed mattresses and pillows my kids slept on, as well as my husband and I in the king on the sleeping floor, all had allergy covers on them. Our kids have asthma, are allergic to dust, and typically I have to put those covers on mattresses and pillows when we travel or else their asthma is aggravated. I was overjoyed that we did not have to do that here. The beds were comfortable, everyone slept well. There was plenty of hot water for showers. Additionally, the floors were clean and the house was well maintained. We enjoyed that the house was convenient to several area attractions. For this trip, we went to Tweetsie, Linville Falls, Mystery Hill, and Grandfather Mountain. A family friend visited us while we were there and they are now planning to rent the house later in the year. Our family recently stayed at the Stags Leap property in Boone as we were coming for APP State graduation. It was incredible! It had everything you could want -- and more. It was beautifully decorated -- filled with all the things you would need away from home. This property overlooks Grandfather Mountain and the view is stunning. We enjoyed eating out on the deck overlooking the gorgeous views -- cooking out on the wonderful grill provided. This property exceeded all expectations. It was so beautiful! I would highly recommend it to any large family! We will never forget our time there. None of us wanted to leave!!!
