We had a fantastic stay at Spruce House with family! The home was spotless, comfortable, and incredibly spacious. Watching the sunrise in the morning was breathtaking, and seeing deer in the yard made it even more special. We also loved supporting locally owned businesses for meals and coffee and had a blast skiing and tubing. It was the perfect getaway, and we can't wait to come back!

I want to express that the location of this cabin is beautiful. Not a lot of traffic going by and you can enjoy the quiet of the mountain. The view was just as beautiful. We all had the same reaction when we walked in despite the 3hr drive from Raleigh, huge smiles. The cabin was perfect and the location was great too. The last climb to the driveway is a bit harrowing but no different than other similar locations. I do have two pieces of very minor feedback. First, is that the lockbox is a pain. We don’t have much trouble opening it but the location is inconvenient and I had to get my 12yo to close it because I couldn’t figure it out. Second is the shower knob in the basement bathroom is a bit of a pain. It took me a minute to figure out then I had trouble getting the water temp right.Oh! This would not be a complete review without mentioning the view. Absolutely stunning.Thank you!

We stayed for 4 nights to explore the area and have family time with my parents. Nicely located to access multiple areas like Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock and Linville. The house was very accommodating for cooking for the family. We cooked full meals and had all the cookware needed to prepare the meal. The grill worked great. The living area and porch was awesome for playing games and talking with family. The neighborhood was good for walking. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We loved our view of grandfather mountain every morning and evening. We were happy at the end of each days outings coming back to our cozy cabin and sitting on the deck reminiscing. It was a great week. We would definitely recommend this cabin for families as well as being cozy it is close to Boone and Banner Elk.

The location of the house could not be more perfect. We were there for snow tubing, and also enjoy visiting downtown Boone and Blowing Rock. Beautiful and private place! Our first impression was that it was better than it looked in the pictures. The place was very modern yet cozy. 10 mins from sugar mountain ski resort and 25 mins from beech mountain ski resort. We liked the beech mountain more because the quality of the snow was way better. Every amenities including the grill worked without any problem. I couldn't find any downside about this place.

Has all great but too high up on the mountain for us older ones. Fireplace was hard to light. Need instructions on how to lite it.

Great communication. The house was just as described and was clean. The check in directions and other guidelines were easy to follow. We didn't have any problems, but the rental agency stayed in touch via email during our stay offering assistance if needed. The welcome gift was a nice touch.

I wouldn’t suggest a toddler stay here; just because of the stairs, however my son is very clumsy.. so I was on constant edge of that happening.

It also had great views during a warm & sunny or snowy day. The on-call staff was also courteous and understanding when I called. One thing I suggest to anyone who plans to rent here (and this is for people not used to mountainous terrain) is have chains ready for all tires. Also all wheel drive on your vehicle. I hadn't read any previous reviews on this property to see if anyone else suggested this before.

I felt this rental was better than advertised. The rooms were very bright and the home had a good blend of updated living combined with old rustic mountain feels. It also had great views during a warm & sunny or snowy day. The on-call staff was also courteous and understanding when I called.
One thing I suggest to anyone who plans to rent here (and this is for people not used to mountainous terrain) is have chains ready for all tires. Also all wheel drive on your vehicle. I hadn't read any previous reviews on this property to see if anyone else suggested this before.

What a lovely house!! Perfectly clean. Perfectly stocked. The downstairs offers extra privacy for sharing a house with others if you prefer. Easily enough room for 6, but we had only 4. The view was fantastic! I would highly recommend this rental and hope to stay again!

We had a great time at the Spruce House, wife and teenage girls absolutely loved the house. I have been told this needs to be where we stay when visiting the mountains going forward. Thank you Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals for the enjoyable stay.
