The house was just what we needed for our family vacation. The Pros: Clean. Beautiful views out the large picture windows. Plenty beds and living space for our family of 7. Billiard and ping pong tables to keep kids busy. Hot tub, deck fire pit, and fireplace to keep everyone warm. Decent kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots, and pans (only basics we couldn't find were potholders and a cheese grater). More generous with basic supplies than some other houses we have stayed in.Cons: Missing some practical storage (no where to hang clothes in the upstairs master or basement bedrooms, no pantry and limited space for groceries in the kitchen)Winter warning: the last road to the house is a private gravel road, supposed to be maintained by the homeowners along the road- which means the town will not plow, salt, or maintain it, and the rental agreement states that the company that rents it out is only responsible for your driveway (which is flat and little more than a car-length so not a problem). The slopes and ditches in the road are enough to make it impassable when it gets iced up, so your only recourse is to wait for a sunny, warm enough day to melt the ice through the tree cover.

What a beautiful mountain home! Our family of 8 had such a wonderful time making memories. The location is close to a winery, shops, gem mining, hiking, and downtown Banner Elk but it feels so secluded. We enjoyed the area but made sure to spend most of our time at the house making smores, playing pool, relaxing in the hot tub, and hanging out on the deck with the gorgeous view. It is also pet friendly and we appreciated being able to bring our dog and she loved the deer and hiking. The house is well stocked, it was easy check in/out, and the hosts were very friendly and responsive. We can't wait to go back!

Happy to have been in the mointians for the heatwave! Enjoyed the house and the.amenities very much. May want to check the atic for squirrels there were some strange noises coming from up there. It also maybe time for some new blinds. Neither of these things caused us any worry, but definitely made us chuckle. Would stay here again.

What an incredible home! From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted with an amazing view of Grandfather Mountain through a large picture window. The stacked stone fireplace is beautiful and the leather couches and chairs provided the perfect place to gather as a family. The open concept allowed us to cook meals, eat, and enjoy conversations with one another. Everything was so nicely decorated. We enjoyed all the amenities. The location was great and communication was excellent. We enjoyed our time here so much! I highly recommend this home!

The property was a in a perfect location for all of our favorite mountain activities: Grandfather Mtn, Blowing Rock, Boone breweries, Banner Elk restaurants and the alpine coaster, and the Mast General Store in Valle Crucis. The view from inside and out was amazing and we enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings. We would definitely love to stay again!

Beautiful house with amazing views of the mountains out of the large living room window, off of the deck, and from the hot tub. The house is in a neighborhood of sorts, so during peak times there may be more people around but in early-mid April this felt very private. The house is within 15-30 minutes of spectacular hikes and is about that same distance from both Boone and Banner Elk. We were 8 people (4 adults and 4 teens) and 2 smaller dogs and we felt very comfortable there. The kids (and on occasion the adults) had a blast playing ping pong and pool. The kitchen has updated appliances and a nice large island. We figured we would go out to eat at some point but actually wound up making every meal at the house, including making good use of the grill. We absolutely loved our stay! The place was incredibly cozy and had plenty of space to comfortably accommodate two families of four. When unexpected rain kept us indoors, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful mountain house! We loved the décor , and the whole place felt so comfy and cozy. The game room in the basement was a huge hit (we had a little ping pong competition), and the hot tub with a view of the mountains was the perfect way to relax after a day of exploring. The location was fantastic, and we especially enjoyed the little fire pit out back—perfect for roasting s'mores under the stars. Already planning our next trip out! 10 out of 10!!

This home fit our large family and 2 doggies perfectly! Stunning views, firepit easily accessible from the home which is important to us at night in bear country. The lay out, the views from inside and out, the kitchen amenities for cooking, the gated porch/deck so our pups could run free without fear of them running off, the furnishings, the comfort of the beds, ease of accessibility from town as well as the cleanliness of the home were all immaculate! I even had the privilege to talk with the owner through text who was a complete delight! So thoughtful and helpful! We will request this home again and again in the future. This cabin was perfect for our group. Loved that the kids could have the entire downstairs. It was beautifully decorated and so well stocked! The view could not be beat and the communication was incredible. Love that there was no pet fee, was the primary reason we chose this cabin and so glad we did. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic rental all around. It wasn't your typical mountain cabin with the stereotypical decor, which was a nice change. Instead there was a more modern, but welcoming decor. Everything that we could need for a weekend away with friends was there; a hot tub at the perfect temperature, a ping pong table and billiards table for fun times, as well as a large 77” TV perfect for hooking up your video game systems or watching a movie. The kitchen was well stocked with all the kinds of cooking utensils one would need, as well as a grill for some outdoor cooking. The location is great as well, with amazing views of the mountains and plenty of restaurants and shops near by. Certainly plan on returning!
