Welcome to Shooting Star Lodge in Boone!

This mountain home has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It sits at 4,700 elevation in the Top of Boone community and within 15 minutes of downtown Boone! Foosball, cornhole, firepit, gas grill, surround sound on the main level, jetted bathtub in the master bathroom.

Additional Notes:
- This home is NOT pet friendly! Thank you for not asking for an exception.
- RETURNING GUEST? Reach out for a special discount!
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- AWD or 4WD vehicles are recommended year round, and REQUIRED in winter months. Chains may be necessary in times of snow or ice. This home is located in a gated community that is paved then becomes gravel. Steady incline to 4700 elevation.
- No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Gravel driveway with parking for up to 5 vehicles. One step for entry.
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

The cabin was beautiful. I only had issues finding it but the company was great at responding!! Extremely easy to deal with. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Extremely quiet. We watched chipmunks play, deer frolic.

The home was exactly like the pictures. It was very clean. The view was amazing. We had three small children and the home was easy to child proof. The driveway was somewhat dicey but we didn't have any issues and we were driving a minivan. The directions were accurate. We had groceries delivered and some other things delivered and the delivery people had no trouble finding us or getting to the home. We would stay at this home again.

Great house for a large group. The drive up (literally...it's steep) was tricky, but well worth it once you see the view from the back porch. The house is a bit outdated, but overall it was a good experience and would recommend

if you want quiet this is the house. Lots of room inside, floor plan is spacious. fireplace felt cozy & warm. We took tons of photos and saw deer and wild birds. I would recommend this home to a couple of families as it is very big. Price is ok if you divide with more than 1 family. Boone is easy to get to once you learn to navigate the mountain road. Wilkesboro is a very small but friendly town. GREAT SHOPPING!! Our stay was mid April and we did have snow the first evening, but small flurries. We highly recommend this home for a get-away!! Service was prompt and all staff extremely friendly & helpful. THE MAGNOLIA'S
