We loved this house in the mountains. A very cozy feel with peaceful surroundings. The kids loved the hot tub and loft space for sleeping. It is a bit of a drive from any restaurants but the drive is a beautiful one!

We truly enjoyed our trip. The house was perfect location, quiet and private, and about halfway between Boone & Banner Elk. Additionally hiking trails were a short drive away. Highly recommend staying here, and we will again when we return.

There was nothing we didn’t love. The property and location was perfect and beautiful. The tree house was so key with kids! The outdoor space with fire pit was heavenly. Inside was comfy, super clean, and very well stocked and taken care of. We loved it! Perfect for our family of 5 with 3 kids.

We chose this property because of the treehouse and it did not disappoint. My granddaughter described our vacation as magical :) The house was very clean, the bathrooms were spotless and the hot tub was well maintained. Grocery store was very close and they had firewood available there. The road up to the house was a bit of a surprise and we were thankful there was not any snow or ice. It's a very long, winding road up to the top of the mountain. We had a super comfortable stay with no complaints.

Fantastic location! Right nearby Grandfather Mtn. Beautiful view and home. Overall great stay! Plenty of amenities, customer service/support was super helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend having a decent vehicle to get up the semi steep gravel road. (My 2015 cord Mustang GT, made it up.) thank you Blue Ridge for the stay!

Called me 2 hours before checkin time to inform me the cabin was not accessible due to snow. They moved my reservation to Aussies Den which was a nice comparable cabin. I do wish the hot tub went hotter than 99 at Aussies Den though.

The owners are very thoughtful in providing items throughout the house to make the stay more pleasurable. We stayed in this cabin in 2015 and again in 2021. Well maintained and improvements have been made with the lower porch, firepit, and treehouse. Although, we do not have younger children, this house would be a great place to be. Especially like the background of the construction by looking at the blueprints framed on the wall. The view is outstanding and the house is in a very private location.

Absolute perfect place to stay if you’re trying to get away and relax. Very stress free place to enjoy time with your loved ones. We saw a few deer while we were in the hot tub!
It was nice having breakfast out on the porch every morning. There’s lots of places to sleep and the cabin is quite large and secluded!!
Make sure you have a car that can go up STEEP hills. Our small car was barely making it up the mountain to get to the cabin.
We would go back to this property again in a heartbeat!

Our stay at this cabin was amazing! Check-in was easy, the interior looked just like the pictures, and was overall very cozy. We visited Banner Elk for a ski/snowboard trip at Sugar Mountain and the hot tub was perfect after long days at the slopes. The location was also great - wonderful views and a good distance away from neighboring cabins/houses. The note regarding needing four-wheel drive to access the cabin is for real! You will not be able to get to the cabin without four-wheel drive if it is snowing at all or has snowed recently. We also saw that they might have some remodeling in the near future, and we are excited to see how it turns out! We will definitely book this place again when we come back!

Two weeks at Scarborough Fair in July was everything we wanted it to be! Every bit as beautiful as the pictures and then some! I was pleasantly surprised by the well manicured garden in the front yard. A pretty view from the back deck that with a bit of tree trimming would be at amazing. Being so far up the mountain (10 minutes from the bottom) left us comfortable without A/C around the clock. The location on Grandfather Mountain was perfectly placed between Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk along with all of your mountain vacation activities! I would most definitely stay here again!

We have stayed at many cabins but this is one of our favorites! The location is perfect - way up on the mountain, but only 10-15 minutes from Boone, Banner Elk, and Valle Crucis. The property is gorgeous, with the cabin set back a bit and nestled among large rhododendrons on the mountainside. We loved the big wood burning fireplace, and the high-quality hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountains. The inside is cozy and inviting, great for families with children. We hope to return!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this secluded mountain retreat. We came to escape the July heat of Atlanta and found the highs in the 70's to be delightful. The log cabin is comfortable and cozy with nicely appointed furniture and bedrooms. One really gets a feel for the family who owns this home. The fireplace was inviting in the evening even in the middle of summer. We enjoyed the deck and my son slept every night in the hammock. For all you cooks out there, the kitchen is well equiped with the essentials except for a 9x13.
The property managment company was helpful and kept us well infomed with check in and check out procedures. The keyless entry feature is very handy.
The only slight clarification I would add to the property description is that we were 6 in our party and found that to be the optimal number. There is a futon that shares the downstairs bedroom so depending on circumstances, 8 individuals could be accommodated, but it may begin to feel crowded...
We got a visit from the local bear so be sure not to keep food outside or in your car and be sure to secure the lid on the trash can.
All in all, we had a great time and will look forward to vacationing at Scarborough Fair again soon!

I really had a very great experience at the Scarborough Mountain Home . They had everything I needed even though I ended up bringing things I thought they didn't have like radio ,games, towels ,rags, seasoning ,dish liquid ,Etc. It was an all-girls trip this time and they were very surprised at what the home had to offer and I loved it I would recommend it to anyone with no questions. They all are ready to go back

Wanted to pass on that we had an incredible time at Scarborough Fair this weekend. The cabin and setting were beautiful. We were past college friends, all originally from Arizona, but now scattered through the East and South and found Banner Elk the perfect time to meet up. We plan on doing it again next year! Wanted to pass on that we had an incredible time at Scarborough Fair this weekend. The cabin and setting were beautiful. We were past college friends, all originally from Arizona, but now scattered through the East and South and found Banner Elk the perfect time to meet up. We plan on doing it again next year! Please pass along our thanks to the owners and additional thanks for being so dog-friendly!

My husband and I recently rented a home through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. They were extremely efficient, informative, and concerned that our family have an enjoyable stay. I could not have asked anymore from an agency. We also found their pictures and descriptions of their homes to be very truthful and accurate. Our family has rented from them prior to this and we will choose them again for our summer rentals. On Sunday we called to ask for garbage pick up even before we checked out and a truck arrived immediately. The property that we rented was very clean and well equipped for cooking in if you chose to. All equipment was in proper working order and amenities were as described. Our home was named Scarborough Fair. It was a lovely representation of the quality of homes that Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals handles. The home was decorated tastefully and with an eye to comfort and homeyness. In the words of our eight year old grandson, Nanny this house is awesome! We are so grateful to the Blue Ridge folks for helping to make our visit to the High Country wonderful and memorable.

Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed your charming cabin. We came to Boone for our oldest sons graduation at ASU. We are so thankful to have celebrated such a special event at such a special place. We too custom built our home so we see and appreciate all the details that you poured into your cabin. We realize its not an easy process but is all worth it in the end. Thank you for trusting to put it and all your loving details to the public rental. It is charming to enjoy. Our favorites: the gorgeous fireplace, the long farmhouse table, the high quality hot tub.
