Offer expires 06/09/2026 and you must book your vacation between 06/01/2026 and 08/31/2026.Perched at over 4,000 feet on Appalachian Ski Mountain, Rested Traveler pairs breathtaking long-range mountain views with luxury mountain living. Completed in Fall 2022, this expansive mountain retreat comfortably sleeps up to 13 guests across 4 bedrooms and 4.5 baths, offering room for everyone to relax and reconnect. With an entire floor dedicated to games and entertainment, multiple gathering areas, and more bonus living space than the total square footage of many mountain cabins, Rested Traveler was designed to bring people together while still giving everyone room to spread out and unwind.
The main level welcomes you with an open-concept Great Room featuring exposed bark log beams, soaring vaulted ceilings, a stunning stone gas fireplace, a circular sofa, a large HDTV, and a dramatic wall of windows framing layered long-range mountain views. Step outside onto the deck to take in the fresh mountain air and breathtaking scenery. The chef’s kitchen is equally impressive, offering granite countertops, a large island, wine cooler, stainless steel appliances, double ovens, double microwaves, and a gas range—perfect for entertaining and gathering over memorable meals. There’s seating for everyone between the dining table and the four bar-height counter seats. Just off the kitchen is a convenient half bath. On the opposite side of the Great Room, the King Primary Suite offers a luxurious retreat with a beautifully tiled walk-in shower, deck access, a spacious closet, and a private flat-screen TV.
Downstairs, the fun continues in the game room with a pool table, TV, and Golden Tee golf arcade game. Just off the game room is a Queen Suite with a private full bath and walk-in shower. Around the corner, settle into the private movie room featuring plush leather recliners and a massive TV—the perfect place for movie nights after a day exploring the High Country.
One floor up from the main level, you’ll find two additional bedrooms. One features a beautiful Queen bed, private Juliet balcony, and flat-screen TV. The other is ideal for kids and groups, offering two twin-over-twin bunk beds ready for late-night stories and bedtime giggles. Between the bedrooms is a spacious full bathroom with a tiled shower, soaking tub, and double granite vanities.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s even more bonus space tucked behind the primary suite. Accessible through the bedroom or directly from the deck, this oversized second Great Room is designed for relaxing and reconnecting. Vaulted ceilings, a leather sectional, a fireplace with a huge TV above it, a wet bar, and an additional half bath make this an unforgettable hangout space for the whole group.
Outside, enjoy grilling dinner before soaking under the stars in the 8-person Bullfrog Spas hot tub. Whether you’re sipping coffee at sunrise or unwinding after a day of adventure, the mountain setting creates the perfect backdrop year-round.
Conveniently located just minutes from Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad, about 10 minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, and less than 20 minutes from Boone, Rested Traveler places you close to some of the High Country’s best attractions while still feeling peacefully tucked away high above it all.
PLEASE NOTE: This home offers two driveways, a steep paved driveway and a more level gravel driveway (shown with the iron gate). The paved driveway is closed during winter months. 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March and chains may also be necessary to navigate to any home in the High Country during winter months.
- This property is pet friendly for mature, well-trained dogs under 30lb only. Max of 2. Pet rent is $50/night each pet plus tax. Please keep dogs crated when people are away, and off the furniture.
- The homeowners use outdoor security cameras to ensure their home remains secure. They are both Ring doorbell cameras mounted on the lower level entrances facing away from the home. No cameras monitor the inside of the home or the hot tub area.
CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
