Prancing Horse Lodge at Eagles Nest

We love the home and have stayed there three times. We also love the service! They fixed a sink very quickly and even returned a laptop to us that we had left behind. We will be back next winter. Very convenient to Sugar and Beech mountain. Be sure to check out the Dollar General, RIP Toy Barn.

This is the 2nd year in a row we have rented this property! It’s clean, homey and in a great location.. I will say I think the kitchen is bare on cookie items! But we were able to manage… wouldn’t stop us from renting it again next year! Definitely would recommend this house to anyone!

We enjoyed our mountain weekend getaway. The location was a perfect short distance to downtown banner elk and Sugar Mountain Ski resort. This home was also the perfect set-up for two families to have privacy. 10/10 would recommend! Book it, promise this home will not disappoint!

I was married in another home within this community and the cabin was for my family members during the wedding weekend. The cabin was beautiful and peaceful. Perfect 2 bedroom cabin and love the Christmas decorations they had out for their guests. The only reason for a 4 star on the location was it was difficult to find the cabin. (A builder in the community assisted us so Shout Out to VC Builders!!). If you are looking for a beautiful well maintained cabin, level parking, on a creek near the larger Community center-this cabin is for you! Thank you to the owners and Blue Ridge Rentals!

Prancing Horse lodge was perfect for our family. The two family/living rooms were what I knew our family would need. The kids had plenty of room to play in the family room downstairs- beside the bunk room. We also really liked the two suite bedrooms. Grandparents were able to stay in the suite upstairs and not have to climb up and down stairs, while the suite downstairs was still very roomy and nice. The location of this home was very close to be able to go a short drive to one of the playgrounds and the kids really enjoyed the mini-golf at the Great Camp.

We really loved this home. Plenty of room to spread out and fantastic outdoor space. There is so much to do in the area, we went late season skiing, but make sure to ask about the amenities on the property. Our children loved the Putt Putt course, Toy Barn and Playground. We drove the property and saw amazing views. One of our favorite vacations we ever had!

We visited Prancing Horse Lodge for a long weekend, and absolutely loved everything about our stay. In fact, we want to buy it lol. It was perfect for our family of four plus our sister's family of four. The kids really enjoyed the bunk room and downstairs, and we all loved the wood-burning fireplace upstairs. The urinal in the half bath was a big hit with my 11-year-old son :). We would absolutely visit again. Eagles Nest and Prancing Horse are amazing!

We loved the house and location! Beautiful views with a easy drive to the house! I would recommend bring fire wood because it seems like the right side of the house is much cooler than the left... which was fine just bundle up! Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us! We came up to check out the properties at eagles nest during their February 14th sale . We stayed at the prancing horse, and had a wonderful time! It was cold and rainy that week but that didn’t stop us from taking a look at all the properties for sale. Everything at our rental was taken care of ! It was clean and neat and so well built! We decided to buy and come back in the summer for the 4th of July. And bring the grandkids! We can’t wait! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Five ladies had a wonderful time at this property - ranging in age from 14 to 51. Spotless and beautifully decorated. Mattresses and linens were excellent! Would definitely stay here again!

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay in this gorgeous home. The mountains were beautiful and it was a nice distance from Boone and Blowing Rock...making it easily accessible but secluded enough to enjoy some peace and quiet! We will definitely be back!!
