Welcome to Mountain Top: your elevated escape in the heart of Avery County. Tucked among the rolling hills just moments from the Blue Ridge Parkway and Linville Falls Winery, this custom-built retreat is designed for unforgettable High Country getaways.

The approach sets the tone. As you wind along a peaceful, tree-lined road, long-range mountain views unfold around you, creating an invitation to slow down and settle in. With just a few easy steps to the covered porch, you’ll be greeted by a home that instantly feels warm, welcoming, and effortlessly relaxing.

Inside, the great room is the heart of the home, anchored by a stunning floor-to-ceiling stone gas fireplace with a mounted TV above. Comfortable seating invites you to gather, unwind, and reconnect, whether you're sharing stories or enjoying a quiet evening by the fire.

The kitchen is equally inviting, featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a gas range perfect for preparing everything from casual breakfasts to memorable group dinners. There’s room for everyone at the bar seating for four or the spacious dining table for ten.

Just beyond, the three-season room brings the fun. With its own fireplace and pool table, it’s a space made for laughter and friendly competition. Open the double doors to seamlessly connect it with the main living area and keep the energy flowing.

Time for bed? Mountain Top offers ample sleeping options for everyone in the group to get a great night’s rest.

Mountain Top at Linville Falls isn’t just a place to stay. It’s where mountain memories are made with the ones you hold nearest. Come experience it for yourself.

Additional Notes:

- This home is pet friendly! Max of 2 mature, well-trained dogs allowed. Pet rent is $25/nt per dog.

- The garage is not available for guest use.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax per night.
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, a couple garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. All linens and towels are provided for your stay.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-30 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.

Our large family enjoyed this wonderful and beautiful mountain oasis!! We were able to spend much needed time together and to enjoy each other in such a spectacular environment. Great house and perfect for a larger group who needs plenty of beds (easily accommodated 8 guys for a golf trip). We used the kitchen for multiple meals and had plenty of decent cookware and appliances. Great views, great amenities, and we thought we were going to have bad weather but even that turned out ok.

Stayed at house with extended family. Location amazing, 20 minute drive to stores. Beautiful neighborhood, ample amenities and child friendly. Wish the room over garage had better A/C but overall great place to stay and scenic views. Directly across the street from Linville Falls winery where we were attending a wedding.

Beautiful home on a large lot with spectacular views. Great fire pit. Very roomy bedrooms, with separate loft area that would be perfect for kids/teens. Upstairs bedroom is very private, with an open sitting area that also has a bed looking over the den. Master bedroom is downstairs with access to the deck and spacious bathroom. TVs in every room. Kitchen is very-well appointed (even with spices) & has everything you need to cook a family meal. There's a screened in porch with a pool table and a nice 2-level deck to sit outside. I communicated a few things with the property manager, and they were very responsive.

It was 10 minutes or less driving distance to everything we wanted to do in the area (including a winery just outside the neighborhood), but located in a very remote and beautiful neighborhood. The hosting team was super responsive and flexible with us. Highly recommend this place for a big group!
