the house and location was amazing! so many fun activities and so cozy! be careful in the winter as it can get real slippery. we had to walk up the hill since our cars couldn’t all make it up (some AWD, some not). they were flexible and extended our checkout, which is very kind of them!! we really enjoyed our stay!

We spent just a short weekend here, but we loved our time. We came with friends and their family, and the kids loved the pool table, having a fire in the fire pit and playing games together at the table. The cabin was better than we even could have thought. We hope to be back some day!

This was the best Christmas!! Then cabin was so welcoming!! Cozy and felt like home! Beds and pillows were like a 5 star hotel! Hot tub was a big hit! And LOVED the fireplace was off the gas! I will say if you are going during storms MAKE SURE you have 4 wheel drive or snow chains.

We absolutely loved this cabin! Great amount of space for everyone (we had 3 adults and 5 teenagers). Everyone had their own bed, the kids loved the pool table and we all loved the fireplace and views from every window. There were extra blankets in every room, warm bedding on all the beds (which were very comfortable). The kitchen had everything we needed, both a Keurig and a coffee pot for lots of coffee or single cup use, great selection of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and silverware, there's even a crock pot in the closet in the bathroom. If you're planning who to sleep where (during winter months) the upstairs is warmest (heat from the fireplace rises and it's about 10 degrees warmer upstairs), main level is comfortable and downstairs (the bunk beds by the pool table) was the coldest level (probably 10 degrees cooler than the main level). It was perfect for our teenage boys who loved the colder room and the teenage girls all slept upstairs in the loft where it was warmest. Those who like it cooler when they sleep should be on the main level. It worked out perfectly for everyone in our group! Tip: if you're planning to ski during the holiday season, get there no later than 8am or you'll be stuck in lines all day. Don't even bother trying to tube on Sugar Mountain, we waited hours for tickets and they sold out every session in about 15 minutes. Go online in advance of your trip and reserve tubing tickets at Hawks Nest or Beech Mountain instead.

We had a great stay, enjoyed every minute. We particularly liked the cleanliness, full-equipped kitchen, hot-tub, fireplace, rocking chairs and billard table. Happy teenagers & happy adults! Plenty of room for everyone. Easy getaway to Boone and Blueridge Mountain Parkway as well as Watauga River. Well thought touches all over the beautiful home, best mountain-stay experience!

The cabin is very up to date and was very clean. It was roomy enough to spread out and had good gathering space to eat together and play games. The property and surrounding area is beautiful and well worth a visit. Read everything they send you and DO NOT come in from Moore Mount Road.

We loved the hot tub, kids included, the beautiful views, the kitchen accommodations, the comfy beds, the space, and the location to downtown Boone, hawksnest snow tubing, grandfather winery, and wilderness mountain coaster. Property was very clean upon arriving. The location is close to everything but far enough away to be private. We stayed in the home with our 3 teenage children and another family of two adults and two teenage children. There was room enough for everyone and even some space left. The hot tub, fire pit, and pool table were great and well used. The loft area upstairs served as the perfect place for morning yoga. The window seat made for the a comfy place to escape if needed. We would definitely stay here again.

The process of renting was smooth and easy, and questions asked were answered immediately. The property rented was exactly as described and we couldn't have been happier - except that we had to leave once our rental period was over. Go figure! They say "Location. Location. Location." is important and this place fits the bill! We spent 3 days traveling within 1/2 hour of Mountain Laural Lodge in all directions and didn't have enough time to do all we wanted to do! We had a very pleasant experience with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. We had a trip planned for May 2020 and had to cancel due to the pandemic. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals made the cancellation process simple and easy, so we took this trip using our carryover credit from last year. (Dan in particular was responsive and courteous.) We stayed in the Mountain Laurel Cabin in Boone and enjoyed it very much, from the porch with a view to the spacious interior and basement room with a pool table. Check-in was easy with keys in a lock box. The cabin was clean, and the startup supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap) were all we needed for a two-night stay. We would like to see recycling offered in addition to trash; we had a lot of plastic water bottles, as well as cans and glass, and we felt bad just throwing them in the trash can, but we didn't have room in our vehicle to haul them. Overall a very good experience, and we will use Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals again when traveling to the High Country.

We had a great stay over MLK Jr. weekend! The cabin was clean and well equipped for our family. We loved that there were multiple living areas for the different members of our family. We had two teen boys that loved the downstairs bedroom with the pool table. And the upstairs loft area made a great play area for our toddler. We also loved the location of the cabin. It was very quick and easy to get back into Boone. Or a 20 to 30 minute drive to areas like blowing rock and beech mountain.
This cabin has a great views as well as it is situated higher up on the mountain. But I did not feel like the road up there was too treacherous as long as you bring a vehicle that has AWD or FWD. It snowed several times while we were there and covered the road to the cabin. Our Subaru Outback handled the road up to the cabin just fine. I feel like Blue Ridge Mountain rentals goes out of their way to remind you to be prepared for handling winter weather as well!

The road winding up the mountain to the lodge is a little bumpy, but no big deal especially if you have a 4x4. The upstairs to the lodge is perfect for kids, with two single beds, plus a double bedroom, a bathroom, and a very comfy window seat, couch, and TV! I stayed in Mountain Laurel cabin rented through Blue RIdge Mountain Rentals and had an EXCELLENT experience. All the information and pictures on the rental ad pages were very precise and a perfect representation of what you're getting. I LOVED the cabin, it was impeccably clean, decorated gorgeously and felt like home from the second we walked in. The wrap around porch was beautiful and the views were amazing. The kids loved the outdoor hot tub and the ground floor room with the pool table was a great hangout for them as well. Everyone had their own space, kitchen was fully furnished and we prepared all meals in the house. I'd love to return and highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a relaxing mountain escape. Close to Boone and Blowing Rock and all the wonderful things they have to offer.

We had a great stay. Everything was as described and we’d stay there again. The only hiccup and it’s splitting hairs (no pun intended) was the lack of a hairdryer. It’s been our experience there’s usually one included. Not a thing for me but with a wife and three teenage girls in the house I had to go buy one! :-)

Had a great time! Beautiful home that can accommodate at least two families. We took out family up for the weekend for an Appalachian football game. This property was within 7 minutes of campus, and close to Blowing Rock too! We saw some deer....and kids loved having a pool table.
All of the furnishing in the home were great -
Lots of woodsy decor...very fitting. Beds were comfortable. Towels smelled fresh. Added bonus was having the laundry room and some pods to do a few loads of laundry while there.
My only criticism would be that there were no blinds on the main floor. It kind of creeped me out LOL....especially at night. Also, it would’ve been really nice to have a broom out on the porch. Lots and lots of spider webs and some crazy big spiders taking up residence all over the porch.
All in all, a very nice visit, and we’d definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful Christmas experience! The place is beautiful and comfortable. We brought a Christmas tree with us, but the host had it already decorated for us. A beautiful touch. The location is just 10 minutes to the Ingles grocery store, which is on the outskirts of Boone. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed for the Christmas dinner we had for our families. The pool table was a hit with everyone each night. The wrap around porch, with many custom-made rocking chairs, provided plenty of room for all the guests to sit outside and take in the beautiful views of the mountains and valley below. Of course the hot tub was the perfect touch on those cold evenings. There is a gas fireplace inside and a fire pit outside in the front yard, which provided a great meeting place for our relatives to sit around and reminisce. There is anything I can say negative about the property. I had prayed for a Christmas week our family and relatives would remember for years, and that's exactly what happened. Beautiful memories!

Mountain Laurel Lodge is amazing! It was wonderful for our family and was equipped with everything we needed. The fireplace, pool table, hot tub and cleanliness along with all the modern necessities were amazing! The decor was so nicely done and the view was outstanding!
Be aware that it is located high in the mountain and is accessible by a gravel, not a paved road. Snow plows do not go up the steep uphill area. The gravel road is also posted with a sign that says “4 wheel drive advised.”

Cozy yet spacious accommodations. Extremely clean and well-appointed. Very much appreciated the king sized beds in 2 rooms and large kitchen. Outdoor deck space was fantastic with views of both woods and mountain. Gravel road up to the house and driveway were no problem but 4 wheel drive might be best in winter.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway at the beautiful Mountain Laurel Lodge. This cabin was extra clean and very nicely appointed with top of the line appliances in the kitchen, very comfortable linens and towels and even nice dinnerware and flatware. It made our experience more like coming to a home and not just a cabin rental. We WILL return. Thank you!

Mountain Laurel Lodge is full of mountain character from the unique log banister ending in twinkly light trees to the wooden plank interior siding to the (most comfortable) log rockers on the porch. All the touches make you feel like you are in the mountains without being too kitschy It's a great set up for kids with the loft upstairs and basement downstairs leaving the main floor for some adult space.

We really loved our stay at Mountain Laurel Lodge and we are already planning our next visit! It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The wrap around deck provided an awesome view. Even our teens enjoyed it and wanted to stay longer. Thanks so much!
