Great views from the deck, private setting. It has a great floor plan that maximizes mountain views. The house was clean, the company puts some thought into making everything welcoming. There are detailed instructions for everything and even suggestions for hikes (which we made use of). A couple things that aren't really complaints but that other guests might want to know about: - The house is up a somewhat steep gravel drive that you will likely need to back down. - The hot tub cover is falling apart and leaves blue plastic bits in and around the tub. - The house creaks rather loudly when the wind blows, enough to wake from sleep.

My daughters and I had the most relaxing experience. We are sad that we didn’t have more time.
A few issues but nothing big. The ceiling fan in the main room did not work, the bar on the hot tub was broken on the left side (had to get chair to hold it), could not figure out washer, followed directions but no water.
I did leave 4 bundles of firewood for next person as we only had a few fires (had some rain).
However, the peace and quiet was what we wanted. It was amazing to hear owls, coyotes, etc. who could ask for more?
Thank you for letting us share the home with you. I would totally use your services again.

We really enjoyed staying at the Misty Peak! My husband and I used it as a short getaway vacation so we didn’t do a ton of things in the surrounding area. It was a little bit of a drive to stores/shops. The cabin decor was a bit dated, but it came well equipped with kitchen utensils and was otherwise clean and taken care of. The only complaint we had was the amount of mold in the shower and how dirty it was. It looks like it needs a really thorough scrub and some maintenance. The cabin came equipped with an a/c window unit upstairs, which was a welcome surprise to us. It does look like it also needs a good cleaning, the vents were quite dirty. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Misty Mountain Cabin. It's private and secluded, clean and cozy! It rained on/off while we were there but that didn't stop us! My husband and I did A LOT of research and came across this beautiful place. We came during our spring break with our boys and drove from south Florida in hopes of the cold weather and a relaxing time in which we got. We were blessed with great weather and our boys even got to see “snow” flurries for the first time. The next morning the porch was covered enough for the boys to play in it :) We all had a wonderful time and our boys 11 & 12 loved it. I grew up in a very similar setting as child so I truly enjoyed it. We had an issue with the wifi and fireplace when we got there but I called and they were quick to respond and fixed the problem right away. Everything is about 25 minutes away which is not bad. We didn’t mind the drive at all, just make sure to have all of your essentials and food before going up the mountain because there’s no stores around. A 4WD vehicle is a MUST as you will be going up and through hills and dirt roads. Although reviews about getting there are pretty accurate, honestly we enjoyed the ride and the adventure and the scenery as we went different routes since we went to sugar mountain one day and went skiing and had a great time. We also went on the mountain coaster and all enjoyed very much. We then drove to TN about 40 minutes and did the High Country UTV Mountain Tours and that was so much fun! Misty Peak has everything you need and would recommend for anyone to go and enjoy! :)

The first thing that could have gone wrong: the day of my wedding, I realized all my info for cabin check-in went to my work email, which i didnt have access to. In a panic, I emailed customer service. WITHIN THE HOUR, all of the info i needed was at my backup email! The second thing that could have gone wrong: When I first arrived for my honeymoon, the code for Misty Peaks' front door wouldn't work. At 5pm on a Sunday, I figured I would be on hold for hours trying to get in to my cabin. WITHIN 60 SECONDS, I had spoken to 2 people and gained entry!! I also asked for some oddly specific things for a gift basket for my bride-to-be. NO PROBLEM, it was there when we checked in. At every turn, we had the absolute best honeymoon possible!! The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and prompt when handling our concerns. Everything was exactly as described. We will be bringing our family and friends back to enjoy this cabin and area!

We have rented several cabins in this area and this is our best experience so far! The kitchen was very well stocked for some simple meals. Views were incredible. While I would recommend 4wd, the access was in good condition and not impossible, as some have been. Wi;; rent this cabin again

Very clean and comfortable! View off of front of cabin was spectacular. Leaves and weather were fantastic! A little too far off the beaten path for us. We will be looking for something in or close to Valle Crusis next year for convenience. Highly recommend this property!!

The home is secluded and has wonderful Mountain View’s. It’s a bit off the path but well worth it. It’s about 20-25 minutes to “downtown” Banner Elk and 25 - 30 minutes to Boone.
The home is well kept and clean. We went on a very hot week so the lack of central AC was a little tough with the kids but overall not too bad.
I recommend for families with small kids.

I'm sure this was in the top 2 of best views we've ever seen and the other was the Grand Canyon. The location was perfect. If you like to be adventurous then you wont be disappointed. Zip lining, alpine coasters, quads with roll over bars and so many beautiful hiking trails with waterfalls and more views. All fun things were within 15/20 miles give or take. Simply search one line. I'm glad I don't have to pay for developing film. So go ahead and rent this awesome home I promise you won't be disappointed.

Last Minute Booking - We booked a last minute getaway with Blue Ridge Mt Rentals and had the most amazing weekend! Every single individual (from agent, standard maintenance staff, etc) we worked with was so kind, friendly, professional and most importantly helpful. The house, Misty Peak, was perfect with all amenities needed. It was so comfortable and the view is incredible! We enjoyed an April mega snow event and loved every second. The driveway was a little tricky but with a 4x4, no problem. This is our new hideaway when my husband and I need a break. Thank you BRMR for allowing such a wonderful memory. I'm still smiling!!!

Booked this Airbnb for 6 of us. It fit us all perfectly. Nobody complained about anything. It was clean and well maintained, easily accessible and soooo comfortable with a beautiful view. We had an absolute blast celebrating this past weekend. My boyfriend is an amazing cook and everything we needed was there just needed to supply the groceries. Highly recommend this place to anyone! Perfect stay!

Beautiful spot - the view was amazing. The fireplace was super cozy. Easy driving distance to Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our car is AWD and it managed the driveway great. WiFi was strong enough to stream movies. Great place!

This house lived much bigger than it is thanks to the upstairs entertainment room and lovely front porch. The photo depictions are accurate. I have stayed in many rental properties and you don't often find a view this good in a smaller rental home! The hot tub on the deck was very nice and spotlessly clean as well. One thing to note is that the house is pretty remote in the sense that leaving to go out for the day took us on gravel roads in almost any direction. However, the upside to this is that the house is extremely private!

The views from the deck (and hot tub) are amazing! The house was clean and well stocked with kitchenware, linens, towels, games, etc. The only thing that we would have liked (or maybe we just couldn't find) was utensils for the grill - large tongs, spatula, etc. but we made do. Lots of space for our family of 5 to spread out in when needed, but big enough living and eating spaces for us to all be together as well. Definitely private and secluded, which we loved, but close to so many places for day trips and hiking. Our only other issue was the height of the bed in the upstairs master - it was a little challenging to get into, but was super comfortable once we did. My husband is 6'1" and thought it seemed unusually high as well. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation here and would stay again!

Great cabin for a getaway! The view is absolutely beautiful. Hosts were wonderful to work with and the cabin was thoroughly cleaned. Road is steep going up so definitely make sure to have the right vehicle.

This was a great cabin to stay in the mountains. It was well furnished and had many games that my kids enjoyed. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the cool evenings. We were able to make trips to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone and Blowing Rock with relative ease.

We brought our three children (2, 4, 6) here for a midweek getaway. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and the fun bunk bed room. It was a short drive to Beech Mountain for sledding as well as restaurants for take out. We were lucky to get about 4” of snow to play in! MUST have AWD to make it up the hill to the house. We will definitely be back.

From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with both the cabin and the service. The View what is exactly what we had seen on the internet, breathtaking! The home was clean and everything that we needed was there. The Blue Ridge Mountain staff wer polite and eager to please. We were there to shelter in place, both of us being First Responders. It was exactly what we needed for some relaxation and downtime. We felt safe, cared for, and pampered. We will definitely do this again.

Words can't express the view and the panoramic view of Misty Peak. From the moment we drove up Laurel Creek Rd, to the winding roads that left you in suspense as to what was around the corner. The neighborhood was quaint and the view of each cabins on the way, gave it a historical journey. From the babbling creeks and the unique little one way bridge. The drive up was road friendly and the suggestion for driving a Jeep is a must. The scenic view gave you a feeling of being some place out of the country. Once you reached the cabin, the view was so unreal. The mountains so high and how the trees gently kissed the clouds that laid gracefully over the mountains. The cabin was very quaint and with all amenities. The wrap around porch served as a stage to the beautiful view of the mountains, trees and fluffed clouds. Being at Misty Peak created memories for our quiet get away. It was uniquely designed for the perfect get away. Thank you so much for allowing us to create special memories at Misty Peak. My ratings for Misty Peak is the GALAXY RATING!!!

Having been a yearly renter with the previous owners for 13 yrs. I was afraid the house might not be in the same excellent condition as before but we were quite happy and it still felt like home.There's no better porch in the world to enjoy the changing light and skies of the mts.

The cabin was well equipped for the group trip we took. The hot tub view was by far our favorite part. The only downfall to the cabin would be the trash situation (bringing it to a dumpster yourself). Besides the trash we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I HIGHLY recommend this one.

We had a great time at MIsty Peak. A few inconveniences were not enough towels/washcloths, the coffee pot was broken, and no propane for the grill. Other than that our stay was wonderful. It's about 30 minutes to any store, 30 minutes to ski beech resort and sugar mountain ski resort, which is great. The views were wonderful and the property itself is great! Likely to stay again!

We couldn't have asked for a better cabin to stay in for our children's first time seeing snow! Our children are ages 12, 9 and 2. The home was perfect for our family. It allowed the kids to have their own safe space and the parents to have their own space. We want this to be our place to stay for our annual snow trip! We may come back in the summer too! The driveway is steep and curvy, but once there the cabin has amazing views and great amenities! The kitchen is well appointed and the beds and bathrooms are well set-up for up to three kids and parents (like us). Only recommendation to owners is to invest in a new washer and dryer that work a little better, with less noise - and add some more gravel to the drive to help with heavy rains like we had. Otherwise, this cabin is definitely recommended! Thanks for helping us have a wonderful stay - despite the rain! (We missed the snow:()
