Lazy River Lodge

Gonna have to give this a 4. Fireplace in main living space was not working. We called and reported. They came out but never told us we needed to leave a key, we assumed they had keys to get in. We were not there and the rep asked me permission to get in while we were away which was granted. We also reported a leak in upstairs bathroom sink. We called and reported the next day and never got another response from property mgmt which was disappointing. It was never communicated to us that we needed to leave our key. House was great, plenty of yard for kids, lots of animal poop, which is expected. Lots of wildlife. Nice fire pit. Beautiful river in front of the house. Very family friendly. We had such a great time at this cabin! It was super cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. The view from the porch was gorgeous—perfect for morning coffee and evening sunsets.The game room was such a fun bonus! It had something for everyone—pool, darts, board games, and plenty of space to hang out. We spent hours in there just relaxing, laughing, and having a blast. Everything was clean, well-kept, and set up perfectly for family time or friendly competition. Definitely made the stay even more enjoyable! beautiful river, and caught some fish pet friendly lots of beds hot tub very private, quite location

A beautiful place to enjoy nature. Loved the furniture and decor. Kitchen is well equipped. The river is quite deep in this particular section - so it's great for swimming. Perhaps not the best if you have little ones or if you wanted to put a chair in the river and let your dogs run. It's more of a deep water swim area. We enjoyed using the kayaks driving them to the wagoner put-in and ending our trip at the house (about a 2 hr trip) so fun! Don't forget sunscreen or you'll have burned legs. Jefferson is a quick 20 min drive for great food and Ashe county cheese, ice cream, and fudge. WiFi is great in the house but no cell service as soon as you step outside, so set your gps route for your outing before you go.

This place was absolutely beautiful!! The view of the river was gorgeous. The cabin was fantastic and had everything we needed for our stay. Super cozy, (2 fire places) and very clean. Plenty of towels and wash cloths. All the cooking ware and utensils we needed. From Trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap, and laundry detergent, to games and extra blankets, this place has it all. Even a grill on the upper deck and a fire pit with a gorgeous view of the river. We will definitely rent again!

The house was exactly as described. It was also way more equipped than we anticipated. Plenty of linens, starting sets, stocked kitchen, etc. Would definitely recommend to folks looking for a peaceful getaway. Will definitely rent again.

Everything at the cabin was exactly as expected, if not better! We were able to have a wonderful week at the cabin without any issues. Very peaceful and calm. We will certainly consider coming back here next time in North Carolina.

We booked Lazy River Lodge due to last minute issues with another property and so thankful it all worked out. Blue Ridge Mountain rentals were amazing and helped us at the very last minute! The house was perfect for us and the view was beautiful! We had a wonderful weekend!!

We had a great vacation at Lazy River Lodge. Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals makes the whole process of booking very easy. They keep you well informed on your reservations. We have booked through BRMR for 5 years.

Lazy River Lodge was absolutely great. It was the perfect set up for our family. Being on the New River was perfect. We so enjoyed the fire pit, s'mores every evening. Canoeing and kayaking was great. Three grandsons even caught fish. Great vacation!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home on the New River! It fit our family of 6 plus 2 dogs perfectly with plenty of space to spread out and so much to do inside and out! The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed plus more! We enjoyed fishing on the river, the hot tub was a huge hit with everyone and a relaxing fire pit on a gorgeous clear night! One of the days it rained and there was not a shortage of indoor activities to do that day. We went to the New River State Park “Wagoner Access” about 15 min away and enjoyed a short afternoon hike. The Blue Ridge Mountain rental management company was very responsive when we emailed about a couple of small things in the home. Nothing that needed immediate attention. Nathan's creek general store was about 5 min away and great for small things like fishing gear and drinks. Going into town to West Jefferson was about 25 min and there was plenty of grocery stores and we enjoyed pizza from the Dough Shed Pizzeria. Overall one of our best trips to North Carolina!! We wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!!

Everything... The cleanliness...the seclusion.. The space and amenities.. It even snowed!! The river was "lazy" , and that's just the vibe my husband and I wanted. It was beautiful!!! See ya sooner than later!

We wanted a cabin away from the city, in the middle of nowhere. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful views of the river. We did have to drive a bit to civilization but you get used to it. (only 20 min to Walmart,Ingles,etc.) Once you get the gravel road to the cabin you will pass Xmas tree farms and occasional deer roaming the area. The cabin is spacious and well equipped. The kids loved the wifi. The only thing we regret is not staying any longer.
