Very happy with our experience. After the flooding from Hurricane Helene, we were very nervous going forward with our trip. They quickly found us a new house after the one we rented was damaged. They also helped our anxiety about closed roads and restaurants. The house we switched to was perfect, couldn't have picked a better house. Our family loved it!

From the moment we enter to the moment we left it was wonderful priced and the accommodations were right on point. Company was great with communicating and we will be back for sure. A perfect cabin. Absolutely perfect. Arriving to the clean beautiful home was incredible. It’s in a small community called Little Bavaria. Every space is designed to be with your group of 10-12. We had 10 plus 1 baby. Insane patio, hot tub, 5 bedrooms + bunk beds, FULLY STOCKED KITCHEN. This was important as each group made a meal, and they were all delicious. Lots of fireplaces, we had 3 toasty fires going almost all the time. It really was such a perfect cabin, I don’t know many other words for it. 15 minutes from downtown Boone. We went on a Saturday during an App State game and it was chaos. So heads up if you run into that. There was only 1 thing the property can look into, I was inundated with paper work and emails upon booking. A little too many documents/emails.

Great cabin. Location was wonderful so easy to get into town. The cabin was so nice. The outside area was just perfect. Loved the firepit. The inside had very comfortable beds in each room. I loved the little boxes in each bathroom and the kitchen. Very helpful. Of course the company makes things so easy from start to finish.

The cabin was exactly as described. It was spacious & the cleanest cabin we've ever rented. It was equipped with everything you might need. The outside porches with comfortable chairs & rockers were perfect to gather to enjoy a cool breeze & coffee. We cooked some delicious meals in the kitchen as well as on the grill. There was plenty of room for dining inside & out. The location was perfect for visiting Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock & Valle Crucis park which was full of wonderful activities. The lake was beautiful and a quick walk across the little road. Fish were caught every time! The area was quiet & secluded & we couldn't have had a more relaxing family vacation!!

The Cabin was very homey, we were a family of eight along with our dogs. Everyone had there own space, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were a great size, we enjoyed the hot tub, and enjoyed some wine and smores at the fire pit. The cabin has everything thing you need, no need to bring anything but yourself, and have fun, you will not regret it!

Lake view is a beautiful cabin. It was very clean and decorated in a cabin motif. The surrounding property is well maintained and the fire pit out back was a big hit for our family. The cabin is spacious and offered plenty of room for our family. Lake view is close to many stores and towns. We've been coming to Blue Ridge for years. Enjoyed this cabin best!

A beautiful cabin with a great view. Lakeview is easy to get to, beautiful and very clean. The check in process was easy and communication with the host was as well. Any question I had was addressed quickly and accurately. The interior is a beautiful cabin motif with plenty of room for our family. The outside porches have plenty of seating and the outdoor fire pit is beautiful. The property is well Maintained and we had no issues with the driveway as there was snow on the ground. The cabin is conveniently located near Boone, Banner Elk and the surrounding area. Definitely would book again if we are in The area.

Owners did a great job of having everything you need to stay there and be comfortable. Loved all of the deck surrounding the house, great place to BBQ, saw deer every day and evening. Close enough to things to do and far enough for privacy. Bedrooms are far enough apart for each person to have privacy. We will be staying there again.

The owners have checked all of the boxes. Great place to stay. Just bring food and you won't need to leave. Great place to go and relax. Saw lots of deer any time during the day. Very private. House has lots of decking, fire pit with speakers so you can bluetooth your phone to what you want to hear. Hot tub was awesome, pool table in the wallk out basement. The 4 bedrooms are nice and spread out so everyone had privacy. House is secluded but off a main road so it has easy access. I would stay there again.

My family & I really enjoyed our stay at Lakeview! The cabin is beautiful, with lots of space & lots to do! We spent many hours playing games, hanging out at the fire pit or on the porches, & in the hot tub. The beds were comfy with many pillows & blankets available. We enjoyed the neighborhood & took many walks around it. We also loved the speakers on the porches that were blue-tooth enabled. It’s secluded & quiet, but also very close to lots of fun, restaurants, & stores. Our favorite place to visit was Valle Crucia community park! It was wonderful for the kids (and adults!) to play in the creeks, play soccer & basketball, play on the playground equipment & swings, & ride their bikes around the paved trails! It was only a few minutes drive from the cabin. Plus, the very cute Mast General Store was just in front of the park. We also drove past this further up the mountain & stopped at multiple “overlook” areas with spectacular views & picnic spots. We saw so many deer each morning around the lake & close to the cabin! The kitchen was very well-stocked. We enjoy cooking, so we appreciated that so many small appliances & many pots & pans were available. The tv’s were set up with all the streaming apps, making it easy to watch movies together on the comfy couch! Two small things to be aware of are that the master bathroom’s tub is difficult for shorter or older people to step into. It’s very high. And with that being the only bedroom on the main floor, older relatives may have a hard time staying at this cabin. If that’s not a concern for you, though, you’re good to go! Also, the lake was very muddy & smelly during our stay. Not sure if that’s because we were told there’s been a lack of rain in the area (although it rained daily while we were there), or the hot weather, or another problem. We weren’t able to enjoy it much because it was very smelly with many dead fish floating in it each time we’d walk near it. It was not clear & pretty like in the photos. That was the only disappointing part of our stay. We highly recommend Lakeview cabin & plan to stay again in the future!

We enjoyed fishing in the pond and we’re able to catch a variety of fish. The house was very cozy and comfy. Enjoying the hot tub was also wonderful after doing Smores at the fire pit. The weather was fantastic for the Morial day weekend. We hope to book this home at another time.

We spent nine nights at Lake View. It is a remarkably quiet and picturesque valley that is very convenient to Boone and surrounding areas. The cabin is very nice with comfortable beds, a nice kitchen, and a lot of outdoor space to enjoy the mountain weather.

We had a great time as a family of 8 with our stay. We had 2 children (both under 4), 2 dogs, and 6 adults. There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The only thing we had a small problem with was the flooring on the main floor is very creaky which made it difficult to put little ones to bed. Besides that we couldn’t ask for anything better! Location was great, views were great (even better thanks to snow in mid April!). We’d love to stay again.

We loved being able to walk down to the lake and the short trip to Boone for take out food made the getaway even more convenient. The outdoor porch and the fire pit area provided great gathering places. This was the perfect cabin for our family to gather.The only negative - there is not a walk in shower in the main bedroom. So we just had to provide caution with our 81 year old mother. Other than that, the bathroom and kitchen areas were convenient, well stocked, and clean!

We absolutely loved everything about this cabin! A few moments after walking in the door we all decided that this cabin would be our choice for all future long weekend stays. The location is very private and the view of the pond is beautiful. We had a crazy mix of weather, went from a blizzard to spring like weather in a day but we're used to that living in N.C. This cabin was perfect for whatever the weather conditions were. We had plenty of room to enjoy the cabin inside during the snow and the hot tub is the best hot tub we've ever been in! When the sun came out we all walked down to the pond for some fishing, didn't catch anything but it's all about the experience. Such a peaceful location! I spent a few hours just sitting out on the deck watching the wildlife, birds, squirrels, chipmunks and even a mama deer and her baby walking around just a few feet away from the cabin. It was so relaxing and beautiful! If you are considering booking this cabin do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed! I found it to be even better than pictured. We are already looking forward to going back.

Overall this was a beautiful cabin. No views of the mountains but did overlook a pond. Very private. Beautiful trees with all the colors. Love the location in Boone. Close to many attractions such as Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mt, Linville Caverns, Cascade Falls. Does have a steep driveway so definitely need a 4-wheel drive vehicle in winter. We had a light snow flurry in early Nov. Would recommend this cabin and would stay again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience was perfect. Cabin set up nicely, well appointed with the BEST sofa, beds and baths set up well. Kitchen has all the accoutrements one needs to cook anything; washer and dryer well functioning. C0ttage was very clean. Realize two-week cleaning is now required during a long stay by insurance company-- was a bit of interruption with visitors on ground. Outside elements were planned well: chairs, CLEAN grill, fire pit are is lighted and set up even with fireplace tools. Around the cottage fall decorations were placed (down to even pumpkin designed sofa pillows) to brighten things up; lawn and grounds were well kept. You can tell the owners care about their cabin; extra touches etc. Of course VALLE CRUICIS LOG CABIN staff are the best. Always ready to help and assist; cleaning staff did well; and Carl is the MAN!! We love this place and put our deposit for next year!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is outstanding and fully equipped. There was nothing we didn't have. Excellent location to everything we wanted to do. I was called before checking in that there was an issue with the AC and that window units would be provided. I agreed that would be acceptable. On the 3rd day of the stay, received a voice mail from management company that the AC parts had arrived and an AP repairman was on the way to be there in 20 min. This was on Friday at 530pm. Repairman arrived and proceeded to come in and out of the house, ask for things, location of indoor unit, etc. AC repair took 5 hours! We had to cancel our plans for dinner with long time friends at the house that night. Called the Mgmt company and was told I would be contacted on Monday as all managers had left. Never contacted.

This was our first trip to the mountains. We went to celebrate our sons birthday. The house was so cozy we didn’t want to leave to enjoy the sights. We spent Saturday fishing and resting on the decks. My one son brought his hammock to tie to the trees. He found the perfect spot!!! Everything was clean and well maintained. The only thing lacking was time! We need more time for next time!!! We hope get back to Lakeview again in the near future. Thank you for sharing your home!

Only thing I would change is for an automatic check in at the cabin. Most rental places have electronic key pads or keys at property. This cabin you have to drive to an office and pick up the keys and then drop them off.

This cabin was exactly what we wanted in order to celebrate our daughter's graduation. It is gorgeous, with wonderful views. The kitchen is well stocked and the whole cabin has a nice, homey feel to it. The grad and her friends enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. The only downside was the extreme winds on Friday and Saturday so we didn't feel comfortable using the fire pit. I will definitely stay here again!! This place is fabulous.. :)

Peaceful and quiet area. Lake was pretty but no fish. Saw deer in the morning. Hot tub was great. We had one issue with the dishwasher and it was fixed promptly. Went to Grandfather Mountain and we hiked a few trails. Driveway was not too steep.

Great cabin with all the bells and whistles. The only sure need is for mixing bowls, a hand mixer and pots and pans. There is only one mixing bowl and three pots to cook for a family of six. The other need, not as urgent, would be more inside floor mats. The mats outside get covered in snow and then you enter the house straight onto the floor with wet shoes. We spent quite a bit of time sweeping and trying to keep the mats free of snow buildup.

The home was beautiful and clean. It has a wonderful cabin feel, cozy but well laid out so you don’t feel on top of everyone. Everything in the home that we wanted to use, worked and the cooking supplies (pots/utensils/propane grill etc) were plentiful and in great shape. There’s a small catch and release pond below a steep grade, where my boys spent some time fishing. The property manager was very attentive with all of my questions before our trip. I wasn’t thrilled with having to stop at the rental agency before getting to the home; however, it isn’t very far from the home, so it wasn’t a big deal. We would love to come back next year!

Our trip was originally scheduled for Spring Break, but due to COVID-19 we decided to cancel it at the last minute. Instead of losing out money, we were given the option of rescheduling. Boy are we glad we did. We had a lovely time. The cabin is beautifully decorated, warm, and cozy. It had one of the most well-stocked kitchens we’ve had at a rental place. Our boys had a blast with the hot tub, mini pool table, and bunk beds. The owners/property manager were also easy to work with and very responsive to emails. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Due to a reservation mixup (VRBO) we switched to the Lakeview Cabin. Amber with Vilas Management quickly found us a cabin which, in our opinion, was a significant upgrade. The cabin, the view and the quiet location were outstanding. We had deer twice a day in the front yard. We celebrated our 25th anniversary with an experience and memories we will always treasure

This place is great! The cabin is in pristine shape, very clean and very well appointed. You can tell that the owners have spared no expense in construction or decorating and it is fully stocked with everything you would have if you were in your own home. This property was amazing! We had everything we needed and more. My mom, dad, my three children and their families had a relaxing time. We had not seen each other for about seven months. This gave us time to share What we missed over the past seven months and to make new memories. We enjoyed every part of the cabin including the outside. The fire pit roasting marshmallows and grilling out on the deck. The Wildlife was amazing, which included the Lakeview from our deck watching the turtles, deers walking across the property in the early morning and evening. Also, the chipmunks playing in the front yard. Thank you so much for sharing your cabin and making new memories. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic all around experience. House was perfect for our family. Had plenty of room for everyone while dining and room to spread out as needed. Home was equipped with everything we need and more. Will definitely consider this property in the future. Management company was great!

We brought extra family members this time to enjoy the home and surrounding areas with even more... made great memories to last a lifetime. Home is perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Boone, but yet only 10 minutes away from it. We will be back!! :)

The cabin was a perfect setting for our family get together. It was clean and comfortable. Lots of room for 12. Nice big eating area, spacious living room with plenty of seating area. Lovely upper and lower decks.

We come to the Boone area frequently but never stay in the same cabin. Our family decided that this house was a keeper and we will visit again!!! So nice, roomy and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked too!! The view and lake were just wonderful. The cabin is tucked away and makes you feel like you are away from everything but you are truly close enough to go pick up dinner and shop on Kings Street. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful home!!

We rented Lakeview for a long weekend and had a wonderful time! It was very clean and comfortable. I loved enjoying the cooler mountain temps on the porches while visiting with family or reading. We cooked all meals at the cabin and it was well stocked with good seating for a larger family like ours. The kids enjoyed fishing in the lake and we also enjoyed walking down the way to see the horses at the end of the street. The little pool table was also a big hit with the kids. It was a great location, close to Valle Crucis and the Mast General Store. Overall, a great stay.
