This home was perfect- everything we needed was right there, plus we were super close to amazing restaurants, fun thrift store, gorgeous views and a relaxing hot tub soak every night!

What a beautiful home with everything we needed! We enjoyed pool and relaxing on the swing… the hot tub was a perfect ending to each evening… but the best part was waking with a fresh cup of coffee and the amazing view of fog around the base of the mountains slowly clearing into the most fabulous view… 10 out of 10 will visit again!

Overall the house was pretty good. It's large, the beds were comfortable, the pool table and hot tub were a hit (hot tub is plenty big for 6 people), and it's pretty close to Boone and Blowing Rock. The host was good at responding.

There was an Internet issue the day before we arrived. The office called to notify us, and the ladies were instrumental in getting the company out to repair it before our arrival. The house was clean, and the starter packs in the bathrooms and kitchen were much appreciated. We had a wonderful stay- what a beautiful location! The cabin was close to Blowing Rock and Boone. We traveled to both towns several times. Would stay again!

My friends and I loved our time at the Horse Valley Lodge! The cabin is beautiful, and the views are even more stunning. The kitchen was stocked with a random assortment of utensils and cookware, although the host was unable to answer specific questions ahead of time about whether specific kitchen items were available so we had to pack a few extra items. Also, the top bunk beds were not made, so we unfortunately had to wrestle to get those beds made once we arrived. Bedding was available and provided for trundle beds. The listing’s fine print description mentioned the master bed being a king size, but it is a queen. Despite a few odd communications prior to arrival and some mismatch between the description and reality of the cabin, I would definitely stay here again! The house is lovely— great for a large family or friends weekend away.

Our stay was amazing. One thing that wasn't clear in the pictures was how good the view was from the deck and hot tub area. Amazing! The place was laid out very well and was plenty spacious enough for 6-8 couples. Will definitely look into renting this place again.

Great visit with nine family members and getting to be with our grandson who is attending Appalachian University. Location was good for food shopping and spending time in Blowing Rock. We even managed to get in some hiking. The house was perfect for all of us, with privacy, comfortably beds and adequate bathrooms. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Wonderful memories to cherish until we all meet up again. Also, management was great to work with, thank you, Micki and a thank you to the owners for opening their lovely home for our Easter holiday.

Beautiful cabin! The first night we arrived Boone received over 2 ft of snow! We were snowed in but enjoyed our time playing, cards,Poole, and enjoyed the hot tub! Will book again!!

Really wonderful stay! Only downside was the fan didn’t work in our downstairs master bedroom and there was no propane in the grills. Otherwise an incredible and cozy stay.

We go on a family mountain trip each year and this was a perfect place to enjoy our stay. It fit our combined families perfectly and had a nice area to hang out downstairs and outside. Located conveniently near downtown so driving was not too bad for restaurants and shopping. Only complaint was the water pressure when showering. We loved our stay overall!

We found this home comfortable, clean, and in the perfect location. We especially enjoyed the daily deer, turkeys and bunnies visits. We would recommend this home to our friends. The rental company was on top ot everything throughout our stay also.

Horse Valley Lodge was five stars both for the house and the service. The house is wonderful with everything a large group will need included lots of little extra touches like toiletries and coffee pods. Location is absolutely perfect with easy drives to the alpine roller coaster, Grandfather mountain, downtown Boone, and of course our favorite restaurant The Gamekeeper! It is a peaceful spot with beautiful views and we saw so many deer in the yard as well as a line of about 14 wild turkeys one morning.
What really makes this property stand out is the company that you will be working with Blue Ridge Rentals. Our friend group rents properties all over and a few of us own places that we rent out as well so we are picky - we all agreed that this was the best experience we have ever had with a rental company. The communication, preparation, immediate response to any issue and the overall human touch of this company is beyond words. Thank you for making my Birthday weekend unforgettable!

I wanted to give a quick review of our stay at Horse Valley Lodge. We had a wonderful time there during the holidays. The property location was perfect for our family. It was quiet and peaceful up the mountain but very easily accessible to all the amenities. The home itself was very clean and was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We actually brought a small Christmas tree because we weren’t sure if there would be one, but we were pleasantly surprised with all the festive decorations. The rooms were spacious and the hot tub was lovely for the bitter cold while we were there! We would definitely recommend this property to others and would love to come back and visit in the summer months too!
