We had a couple of hiccups during our stay including the AC not working and the water stopping the morning we were trying to depart. Blue Ridge Rentals was very accommodating on assisting us with these issues and VERY responsive to our messages. The cabin was a little far out from town that I expected but still great.

My family of 7 came for our daughter's graduation and cannot say enough good things !! We loved the private location yet close to town . The basement “apartment” was perfect for the grown kids , complete with pool table , board games , cards and Nintendo . Better book fast cause we are already checking our calendars so we can all go back !!

Nice log cabin mountain home. Relatively close to town (for groceries) but far enough to escape. Had plenty of space for my party of 8. Convenient hot tub on a covered deck, but temperature is a bit temperamental. Expect dry air like most log cabins - but loved the indoor fireplaces.

We unfortunately were not able to utilize the fire pit due to a burn ban even though it rained on the day of our arrival, and the hot tub cover looked like it was one touch away from breaking in half so out of fear of being charged the $500 replacement cover fee, we didn’t utilize the hot tub either. Still a great stay! Awesome location and good communication

We were previously notified by Blue Ride Mountain Rentals that the first house that we booked had a problem with the hot tube and they relocated us to another house (Hillside Heaven) which was working perfectly. Easy communication and check-in, the house was nice and clean, and everything working well. Beautiful view of the mountains. Thank you!

Cabin was clean, spacious and located in a quite neighborhood. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and fire pit. Conveniently located to main attraction yet secluded. Great weekend get away for the family!

Our family, from different areas, met here for a football weekend. The cabin was found very clean, everything in place along with many amenities we used during the weekend. Everyone slept comfortably, enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and pool table for entertainment. It's a beautiful cabin surrounded by trees giving you a lot of privacy, although there are neighbors close by. Everything we needed was found, just brought our food. I had a few questions before the stay and the rental group was very quick with the responses. It was a very pleasant experience we would recommend to everyone.

The cabin was nice and the community was peaceful which is what we were looking for during a busy 4th of July. There was plenty of space for 2 families of 4 and our small dogs. The photos inside and cabin exterior were just like what we rented and most anything we needed was there. We extended our stay an extra day and that was an easy process. We would stay here again as the overall experience and cabin both met our families needs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hillside Heaven! We were in the area for a family wedding and wanted a place where a group of our extended family (7 adults, 5 children, and 3 dogs) could stay as an alternative to a hotel. This property was excellent. There was plenty of space for all of us-- the lower level family/game room was perfect! Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and the pool table. The location was great and the area is beautiful. This was one of the cleanest and most well-stocked rental properties I've visited; there were more than enough linens and towels for everyone and it was a huge bonus that beach towels were provided for the hot tub. There was even a hairdryer and an iron/ironing board upstairs, neither of which I expected to find! There were a few minor repair issues that we have made the property manager aware of, in particular the fact that the upstairs windows seem to have broken sashes (one wouldn't stay open, and three others were extremely difficult to get open). We ended up using the A/C, so the window situation wasn't a problem for us in the long run. Overall, we had a great stay and were very happy with the house!

I enjoyed the stay here. The house was clean and it had enough space for a large group. Kitchen had plenty of accessories to make meals for our group. A HVAC repairman did arrive at the AirBnB at 8am on the check-out day with no notice.

Wonderful place to stay with friends! Started our misty mornings on the living room deck with yoga, hiked all over during the day, then relaxed our muscles in the hot tub in the evening. Went with our run club group and will recommend in the future.

We really enjoyed out stay at Hillside Heaven. The kitchen was stocked well enough for our food choices. There were a few things broken but not a huge deal. Hopefully they will be fixed for future renters. We loved walking down the hill to the river. The house wasn't far from town. We enjoyed the quiet community.

My husband and I booked this property for our daughter surprise Sweet 16 trip. We had 4 teenagers and 5 adults. It was great cabin, plenty of room and the pool table and hot tub were a hit for all ages. Kitchen and linens were some of the best stocked I’ve had in a rental place. Only “surprise” was that the loft bedroom wasn’t completely closed in and had one wall open to the rest of the house. I don’t remember this being in the cabin description or pics. Had we had another adult couple. This could have posed a big inconvenience.
Otherwise, the cabin was great and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Great stay, has everything we needed. From a fireplace, to barbecue, to pool downstairs. The area is very quiet and safe, there is also a firepit outside and the hot tub is amazing. Great stay for up to 9 or 10!

This mountain retreat was perfect for our family. The separation of sleeping spaces allowed for some privacy. The surrounding roads provided great walking trails and the view from the balconies gave you a sense of true isolation. We are already looking forward to a visit next year.

We had a wonderful vacation at Hillside Heaven. The house was big enough for our group and then some !! The house was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking for the group. The kids were happier while at the house than out touring the area because of the hot tub and pool table. They even enjoyed hiking to see the river and took some beautiful pictures . We would definitely consider this house again for future trips.
