High Country Hideaway at Eagles Nest now has its own 60'x10' bocce ball court at the house for you!

High Country Hideaway is thoughtfully designed for the enjoyment of our valued guests.  We endeavored to anticipate every need and desire during your stay.  The spacious island kitchen is well equipped with gorgeous stone countertops, a gas cooktop, high CFM range hood, copper sink, and a coffee & cocktail bar w/ beverage chiller, Keurig & drip coffeemakers, and every possible tool you will need for storing and mixing cocktails or grinding your own beans.

The Great room offers a towering stone fireplace and plenty of seating on the reclining sofa, swivel chairs and live-edge sofa table w/ bar stools.  The open concept allows for everyone to dine inside at the rustic dining table, sofa table and kitchen island.  A Bose Sound Bar home theater system is connected to the Smart TV for maximum movie and music enjoyment.

Grab a cocktail or glass of wine, head out to the wrap-around deck and lounge at the fire table, or keep the grill tender company at the outdoor bar.  After dinner, take a dip in the hot tub or watch a movie while cozied up at the fire in the great room, or grab some drinks, head up to the movie & game room and stock the mini-frig for some Xbox gaming or binge watching. A Visio Sound Bar system is connected to the Smart TV for the ultimate gaming or movie experience. There's a queen sleeper sofa and the cocktail table on castors easily rolls out of the way.  Craving s'mores and a good ol' campfire?  Gather 'round the firepit, light the tiki torches and roast marshmallows to your heart's content!  Head out to the new bocce ball court for a friendly game with family!  Got a guitar player in the group?  There's an acoustic guitar in the great room for memorable fireside entertainment.

In the heated garage game room, you can challenge someone to a fun game of ping pong, arcade basketball or foosball.  There's even a microphone w/ speaker system for announcing the play by plays or for Karaoke!

The bedrooms are beautifully appointed.  The primary bedroom features sliding doors opening to the deck, and a split king bed with adjustable mattresses for ultimate comfort.  Slide open the barn door and enter the en-suite bath w/ heated floors, roomy shower, water closet, large walk-in closet, and beautiful finishes throughout.

Lamont, the loveable lounging bear, will greet you as you ascend the stairs!  In addition to the movie/game room, there's another queen master BR w/ en suite bath, and a second queen bedroom plus a super cool bunk room with 2 sets of twin-over-full bunks through the queen bedroom, that share a hall bath with dual sinks.  The house can sleep up to 12 comfortably (not counting the sleeper sofa).

And if you need to top up the batteries of your EV while staying with us, we have provided a Tesla EV charger station outside!

Thanks for the wonderful stay! Our family had a great time and the house was well equipped with all we needed. Looking forward to another visit!

We walked out of another Airbnb, not managed by this group, right after check-in because it wasn't as advertised and reached to this property on short notice for my Mom's 70th. The team for this property replied quickly and got us in within an hour. House was very nice and amenities as advertised. My extended family loved it for our weekend celebration. The only critique is that were told that the hot tub would need to be serviced on Friday night or Saturday morning but never was so we didn't get to use it but we assume that was due to our last hour booking. Overall a great home in a great community.

Loved the House! It was outfitted with all the kitchen items any Chef could want. The Game room and professional Boccie ball court were a blast! The entire property had lots of room for the kids to play and explore. Being close (walking distance) to the sports provided at Camp Eagles Nest was a nice added value. Also only a short drive (8-10 mins) to all that Beach Mountain has to offer was a plus as well. We found the best house on the mountain for sure:) Thank you!

We have stayed in a lot of homes over the years and yours by far had the most to offer. All details were thought of. Plenty of things to keep kids and adults busy and entertained. We enjoyed the house, built fires in outside fire pit, went snow tubing at Beech Mountain. Also, we found out friends of ours from Florida were also in Eagles Net so we got to spend time with them. The only meal we ate outside the house was at Town Tavern of Banner Elk. Food was good with a good drink selection. The highlight was spending quality time together as a family. We really enjoyed all the home had to offer.

The home was very luxurious, quite literally had everything we needed during our stay! The neighborhood is beautiful with plenty to do! Master bathroom heated floors were the absolute best after a long day skiing and playing in the snow! We have stayed in many homes along Beech Mountain and this was by far the best home we have ever stayed in! There were also many small personal touches to the home that made the whole experience feel like we were right at home during our stay!

This cabin was even better than the pictures! Definitely a great place to stay with a big group comfortably and we would recommend it for anyone wanting to get away.

Pea’s Retreat was simply perfection! Our 3 families had plenty of room to spread out while having large gathering spaces to spend time together. Every detail was perfectly planned. The children enjoyed having so many areas to themselves - between the bunk room, the bonus room for gaming, and the garage’s arcade area. The adults enjoyed hanging out at the fire pit near the outdoor bar and, while indoors, in the expansive kitchen. We can’t wait to return!
- Melissa, Posted: 10/03/2022
Our family and friends stayed at Pea’s Retreat this weekend and it was nothing short of AMAZING! The cabin is spacious and beautifully decorated as well as very well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub, game room and covered outdoor seating was perfect for a very rainy weather weekend. We even had deer feeding right in the back yard. Beautiful! We loved it and will definitely be back!

We stayed at Pea's Retreat in August with our family of 6. It was a gorgeous brand new house with all the furnishings so well appointed. The owners really thought of every detail from the full game room in the garage, to the great fire pit with comfy Adirondack chairs, to the amazing porch with an outdoor kitchen, hot tub and fire table. The kids (age ranges from 8-16) were completely entertained at the house, not to mention the outstanding neighborhood amenities they had to offer! We went to the winery which was beautiful. We did a wine tasting and then hung out and listened to a great band while drinking some wine. We played some tennis with the kids which they loved since they all take lessons. Saturday night we went to the neighborhood concert which was free. The kids danced on the stage, played on the playground and had so much fun. The band was really great! We did a lot of hikes, went shopping downtown, ate at the bistro in the neighborhood and just generally renewed as a family from the daily grind. We can't wait to go back to enjoy the winter sports too! This home is truly a hidden gem!
