The cabin was just a shiny new penny. Someone put a lot of love into it. The location right by the creek was like a movie. We loved the rustic, real firepit. Linens were top notch. Beds comfortable.
Just an FYI . You are in the mountains in a " hollar" and there are three flight of stairs, both ways, to the front door. Lol. There is one very nice bathroom downstairs. The kitchen is large and well supplied. No dishwasher. All if these things no big deal to really get to stay in this hidden cabin. We will be back.

We loved this spot so much last year we made this is our 2nd hopefully annual trip to this spot. It's so peaceful. Definitely no frills but perfect for someone who doesn't need too many extras. the fire pit and the cool refreshing creek are the benefits of this property. do not expect anything fancy on the inside. yes it does smell a little musty and clearly the housekeeping only surface cleans but that being said for the price point but I don't expect the Hilton and don't mind a little cleaning for myself if need be. I love the simplicity of this cabin. The fact we could bring our dog along made travel so much easier for us. Blue Ridge is very easy to work with. this cabin is the perfect spot for a couples getaway or a small family. thanks once again for another great vacation

Such a nice area to visit! The cabin was clean, peaceful and just what we needed. Very central to Boone, West Jefferson and more. There was a great winery close by and good restaurants. We loved the small river and scenery at the cabin also.

Wonderful Stay!. We booked this cozy cabin for a getaway over 4th of July. We loved the location so much we booked an extra night. Such a peaceful spot. We loved how private it felt. The view is spectacular. Loved the fire pit area. And even though it was a bit steep down to the river what a nice treat in the summer heat to dip our feet in the cool waters. The only inconvenience was that the one bathroom is in the downstairs bedroom so you must risk disturbing whoever claims that room at night. The kitchen has the basics. I felt like I was escaping to a long beloved family cabin. My husband and I took my mother in law and she said she could live in the cabin. Definitely a great place for a small family or a couples get away. blue Ridge was very easy to work with. We will come back

Stayed here for our vacation over July 4th. It's very convenient to many of the local areas. It felt like our own little hideaway right off the highway. The property management company was very helpful and we were able to arrange an extra days stay. It was so nice ( though a bit steep) to be able to walk down to the river and dip our feet in it's cool refreshing water. If you're looking for a modern cabin this is not for you but if you are looking for a place to unplug and unwind while enjoying the refreshment the mountains offer this is perfect. Keep in mind if you are looking to cook a meal or two you might want to bring some of your kitchen supplies .There aren't many plugs but that truly is because this has all the charm of an old mountain home. We will definitely be keeping this property on our list of places to stay in the future.

We loved Hidden Cabin on Old Field Creek! It was a delightful week & the cabin was perfect, everything we needed was there. The Hidden Cabin was so nice and clean and comfortable! Blue Ridge Mountain Rental was did a great job communicating from start to finish of our reservation and stay. Information was clear and helpful for cost and payments, amenities, check in and out. They let us know they were readily available should we have any problems or needs (we did not!).

The stay was enjoyable and very peaceful. During peak traffic hours you will get some noise behind the cabin (or people with loud mufflers). The creek is behind the sound of running water is very calming. Just a note for future stays. The road doesn't exist on Google maps. Just take it slow and do not listen to your GPS.
Also, if you are over 6'2+ the ceilings are going to seem very low. Just be aware of you are claustrophobic. I can't count that against the cabin as things were very different decades ago.
Enjoy the outdoors, the porch and listen to nature. It will be worth it.

Great Cabin. Secluded and has everything you need. I believe it's the cleanest cabin we have ever rented. A little off the beaten path but so worth it. I will say if you have a large vehicle you might have a hard time parking. The cabin is at the dead end of a gravel road with very minimal room to turn around. No actual parking area. You just park in driveway. I would just get turned around before I parked every time so I would be pointed out in the right direction when time to go. I would definitely stay there again. So cozy and comfortable.

This little cabin was like a picture from a travel magazine. It is very unique, simple, but has everything you need for a beautiful stay in the country. The stream is absolutely amazing, being only about 60-75 feet below the cabin. As an added bonus, the cabin is by itself at the end of the lane. I was torn between wanting to stay at the cabin enjoying the peaceful tranquility and going to the nearby towns to explore.
This cabin is definitely a place we want to return to.

The Hidden Cabin was very enjoyable. We had a great time. Spent time with family playing games, and enjoyed the fire pit. Visited the Ash County Cheese Shop and a couple of local breweries. Would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I wanted to find a more "COVID" friendly vacation setting where we could just enjoy the outdoors with our dogs. This cabin was perfect for our needs. It was clean, comfortable, and the location right by the creek was perfect. We enjoyed fishing right off the front yard, grilling, and bonfires at night. Even though this cabin feels secluded just like we wanted, it is conveniently located to major roads and is almost equidistant between Boone and West Jefferson, making day outings to go shopping and site seeing very convenient. The property manager was very helpful with any questions and we were even able to extend our vacation a day before and after our reservation for a discount. The only slight negative was there is a little bit of an odor from the water connection by the washer and dryer but we were able to cover it up with a candle. Thank you for a relaxing week!

Our stay was a wonderful magical experience. We arrived to find the cabin just a few feet from a flowing river nestled in a mountain.. Lots to explore. A way to appreciate the beauty surrounding us. The inside of the cabin was homey, comfortable and was just like home. Each window had a awesome view. My 1e yr old barley thought of video games! My only safety concern was the top landing of the stairs being so open, I placed a basket out side each door as a reminder not to walk directly out the door for fear of falling.we only stayed a week, would have much rather stayed longer like 3 weeks or 3 years!
