We had a great stay at the Hemlock Hideaway! It was so family friendly with great toys for our kids to play with. It was in a great location; so easy to get to both Boone and Blowing Rock. The hot tub was great. The house was spotless and comfortable. We would not hesitate to come back, it was a wonderful vacation!

Great stay for a fall weekend. The house was very clean in a nice neighborhood. There was plenty of room for us, two teenagers and three adults. We enjoyed using the fire pit each night as well. The cabin was cozy and clean, perfect for our stay.

We loved our getaway at the Hemlock Hideaway! We found the cabin to be clean, cozy, and comfortable. It was bigger than we expected, with spacious bedrooms and even an extra living room area upstairs, giving us lots of space to spread out. The kids loved having so many toys and books available, and the hot tub and fireplace were wonderful after a day of skiing. We initially planned the cabin to be just our overnight space while we spent our days skiing, but we decided to add an extra day just to hang out at the cabin so we could fully enjoy it! We enjoyed our weekend and hope to come back the next time we're in the area.

We had an excellent stay. The house was just as described. It was perfect for our family of 5. The kiddos loved all the toys! It was in a great location for all the activities we wanted to do. The kiddos would’ve been happy just chilling at the cabin! The garabage disposal wasn’t working but Blue Ridge was super responsive. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

We loved our time in the home! The accommodations were perfect for our group of 7. The weather was extremely uncooperative (thanks hurricane Ian) so we didn’t get an opportunity to use the hot tub or the fire pit but we still very much enjoyed our stay, as the house was very warm and cozy and had enough space for our crew to enjoy. We’ve already talked about the possibility of returning in the future!

We stayed at Hemlock Hideaway for 5 days and loved every minute. The cabin has all the amenities and more than we expected. Great place for kids. Beautiful area- really quiet and peaceful and just a few minutes from Boone. We had a wonderful time. And we had a couple of hiccups that the management company immediately helped with. If you are headed to the High Country of NC, I definitely recommend Hemlock Hideaway

Hemlock Hideaway was a beautiful cabin and a peaceful mini-vacation. The rental company kept us in the loop with everything we needed to know for our stay. Super clean, endless toys/games/books for our kids (crucial) and a kitchen stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment. The rooms were spacious - we had two families staying together and we felt like we were able to have our separate spaces when needed. And who doesn't love a good hot tub? We'll be back!

Our family weekend included 2 of my grown sons, a daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters (2 1/2 and 5 years) and the two of us. The house was fantastic. Everything we needed. The house is set apart from the neighboring houses enough that we felt like we were out on our own! The fire pit is perfect. We had such a great weekend. Can't wait to come back. This is a property we will come back to. The property managers responded quickly to questions we had. Awesome experience!!

We survived 2 1/2 days of torrential downpour in this awesome cabin. Who schedules a tropical storm in August? Everyone loved the cabin...my twin 9-year daughters are saving up to buy it...don't want to stay anywhere else. We survived 2 1/2 days of torrential downpour in this awesome cabin. Who schedules a tropical storm in August? Everyone loved the cabin...my twin 9-year daughters are saving up to buy it...don't want to stay anywhere else. Our family of 6, three generations, loved spending time together at Hemlock Hideaway. It was private, with all the trees around. The hot tub was clean. The whole house was very clean. The toy boxes were so much fun. We couldn't get the DVD player to work in the kids room, but they stayed busy playing anyway. The kitchen was great, plenty of cookware, the insulated plastic cups were perfect for kids too. Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Moses Cone Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway were great nearby excursions. The Speckled Trout in Blowing Rock was great, with outdoor seating. We'd love to return to Hemlock Hideaway sometime!

We decided to rent a house in the NC mountains for Thanksgiving and chose Hemlock Hideaway after much hunting online. The house was more beautiful than the description online and couldn't have been more perfect for the older folks as well as the two little boys aged 5 and 3. The firepit was a perfect place to hangout and be together while the little guys explored the lot to find hiding spots and special part of nature. The owners had provided soap, paper products, unbelievably comfortable beds and throws - everything even down to coffee filters . It was truly an unexpected surprise and will be hard to beat this adventure to any part of the mountains! Many thanks for a terrific stay!

Cute cabin/mountain decor with an amazing hot tub! Watch out for the very tall speed bump at the entrance to the neighborhood; our cars (Honda Fit and Toyota Prius) scraped badly on it no matter how slow we went.

The property was awesome. The 3 bedrooms were perfect for our extended family, the house was super clean, very easy to find, the kitchen was pretty well stocked with items the average family would need, instructions for everything in the home were pretty easy to find and use, everything, including the hot tub, seemed to work as described. We did find that some of the check-in info. given to us was outdated (I pointed this out to the prop mngt co) - but it was very complete and covered all details I would have expected and them some. Will consider staying here again.

We were expecting a great place, perfect for our 4 kids. But once we got there, we were blown away with how amazing this home was in every way. There were toys for all ages in the bunk bed room (and that rooms is beautifully built, high quality built-in bunk beds with shelves and personal lights for the top bunks). My 5 year old daughter especially loved the doll house and my boys loved the trains. There were enough books in the house to start a library and every age was covered ... from toddlers to teens to adult. There was so much space. A loft upstairs with more toys and L-shaped sofa. The master is huge with a closest large enough to put our baby's pack-in-play in. Outside was the perfect place for kids to explore and adults to relax. We were visiting family that was .8 miles away so our older kids rode their bikes back and forth between houses. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely visit to Boone in this house that was surrounded by trees but yet a quick drive to trails, Boone and Valle Crucis. The bedding was all very luxurious. The kitchen equipped for cooking for a group. Everything was super clean. They even left extra beach towels for hot tub use, very thoughtful! We used the hot tub everyday and even the fire pit one night and everything was in great shape. The location was a quick drive to Boone. Highly recommend!

We've stayed in several VRBO houses in Boone over the past few years, and this is one of our favorites. It had everything we could've asked for -- great location (quick drive to both Boone and Blowing Rock), great layout (there were six of us in the house and we all had plenty of space to spread out) and some fun extra features (hot tub, gas fireplace, cute front porch and one of the most impressive book collections I've ever seen in a rental). The house was clean, cozy and well-stocked. We would definitely rent this one again.

Talk about a great find. Close to town, hot tub, well stocked house with everyday things you find yourself needing... I can't say enough good things about this place. We enjoyed the great communication and working with the host to finalize our stay too. We even enjoyed setting up the kid's train toys that were left. I can't say enough good things about this place and can only hope its available for our next trip to Boone! A home-run!

Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals went above and beyond when it came to helping us find the perfect rental. We wanted something motorcycle accessible, grand baby friendly, close to blowing rock and affordable. Oh, and the cabin had to be real log not just siding. We Absolutely loved this house, it was the perfect location to go to all the spots like tweetsie, grandfather mountain, linville falls and caverns! It was so cozy and had everything you needed and it was a plus to have toys for the little ones to be occupied with! Defiantly will stay here again!!!!

My family and I booked Hemlock Hideaway for Spring Break and was not disappointed! The cabin is beautiful and cozy. The pictures online does not do this place justice. The hot tub and fire pit is just a bonus. The property itself is perfect for exploring, especially for the children. Also, you are minutes away from all of the popular spots. We will differently rebook this cabin!

The cabin is clean and neat, ready to welcome you. They even prepare some emergency drinking water for you. We had a great time with my families and friends. Loved the location of this little gem! The cabin was extremely clean and the layout was great. My daughter LOVED the doll house and the room with bunk beds was perfect for her and my 2 nephews. Hot tub and fire pit also get 2 thumbs up! Thanks for sharing this with us!

Turns out the cabin was not far from Honey Bear Campground where we took their parents were taken in a camper many times 29 years ago. The children enjoyed the toys in the evenings and the TVs were never used. Sitting on the porch in the evenings and mornings were fantastic. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. Thanks to the owners in SC and Blue Ridge Mountain rentals for the stay. The service provided by Blue ridge mountain rentals was great also.
