Good Medicine

Beautiful cabin located minutes from downtown Boone. Warm and comfortable, but private. The only issue was that we found more than a dozen living stink bugs inside the cabin throughout the weekend, and it appeared that they had been nesting in a blanket taken from the closet for use. Needless to say my daughters were in a frenzy each evening over being fearful of sleeping with having found bugs in the house.

The total cost of the listed rentals through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals is much cheaper than your typical online boking platforms such as Airbnb and Vrbo. The online booking process was extremely easy, and all documents were sent to me via email. BRMR remained in contact with me from the time I booked the house until after we checked out, letting me know when to expect check-in/check-out instructions, directions to the house, and even notified me on the day of our arrival that an earlier check-in time was available. The house was extremely clean and well-maintained, and was very well-stocked with items such as trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The yard was also very neat and well-maintained. The day prior to checkout, BRMR texted me checkout instructions, which made the process easier than having to dig through a book (like many other places I have previously rented) to find this information. The checkout process was probably one of the easiest I have ever experienced, as we didn't even have to strip the beds or start a load of laundry. Working with BRMR was extremely seamless and I will definitely be booking through them again in the future!

Easy booking, easy check-in and out. Property was as described. My husband, grandson, myself and our dog, all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Good Medicine. This cabin is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Boone. Easy drive to the cabin and the cabin was extremely clean. Back porch overlooks treeline and mountains with nice seating for their guests. Kitchen is well appointed and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Good Medicine is a beautiful mountain home with a large yard. The location was perfect for our vacation plans. There is an expansive deck with comfy cozy outdoor furniture to watch sunrises and sunsets. The house was well equipped with lots of staples and extras available. Communication was great with clear instructions for easy checkout. The master bath is big with a jetted tub and huge shower. This home is going on our list of places to revisit!

We have rented from Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals quite a few times and it has always been a great experience. They make it so easy to rent and get to your property. We recently spent Thanksgiving week at Good Medicine. This is our favorite place that we have ever stayed. It is beautiful, well equipped in the kitchen, fireplace is awesome, spacious and updated. The name of the cabin, "Good Medicine" says it all!! There are so many good things to say about this cabin! The area is beautiful! Location is very convenient...about 15 mins to Boone...10 mins to grocery stores, etc. We loved the layout of the cabin inside & out, very clean, well stocked, kitchen has most conveniences that you need, LOVED the decorations, impressed by the huge showers & closets, room darkening shades & sound machines were great! Very kid friendly! Plenty of room for them to run & play outside! We stayed here for our daughter's graduation from App State and it was nice during the day, but chilly at night, so the fireplace, hot tub, and fire pit warmed us up. We even got to see the Northern Lights from the deck, such a cool experience to witness God's Canvas...Beautiful! We had a cookout after the graduation...nice quality gas grill! Family & friends commented that the cabin was so nice and they loved the look and smell of all the wood inside the cabin! We were able to "hit the reset button" and relax! We will definitely rent Good Medicine again! Thanks!

This is a beautiful home. Very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and high end appliances. Outside was great too. Our dog loved the big yard, we used the fire pit and hot tub. Beautiful views from the porch with plenty of comfy furniture. Area was very peaceful but close to downtown Boone and attractions. Definitely would like to stay there again.

We came to good medicine for a relaxing family vacation. It was wonderful. We spent time on the deck as a family relaxing. I would recommend good medicine to anyone. The amenities are great. We enjoyed our stay at Good Medicine cabin so much! It was everything and more we wanted for our vacation! The view was absolutely beautiful and the cabin was stunning. Location was perfect to downtown Boone and we took day trips to Sugar Mountain and Grandfather mountain. All in about a 30min proximity to the cabin. We hope to stay again in the future! Highly recommend..

We felt like we were miles away from it all but we had quick and easy access to the App State campus to get to the football game and Parents Weekend festivities. We had stunning views from the wrap-around porch and from inside the home with all the windows that let in the sun and beauty. The kitchen and living area offered the space and amenities we needed to serve and gather. The home is beautifully furnished and was very comfortable for our guests.
