This property was as beautiful and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for on this trip. The cabin is fully stocked with all essentials. We cooked several nights and found everything needed. We saw several deers and wild turkeys around property almost daily which was a delight for us city folks. The inside cabin was also very clean upon arrival. We would definitely stay again.

Our family of 4 had a fantastic stay! We were so pleased with the proximity to Boone, Blowing Rock and Tweetsie. The hot tub was a hit as well. What a lovely, secluded location! This home was close to Boone, Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crucis - but felt like our own private treehouse in in the woods. The kids loved the game room and splashing in the creek and we all enjoyed the hot tub as well.

Check in, directions were great. Interior and kitchen were clean. Only suggestion for consideration is the beds are very high. Difficult for older people to get into. Had to find step stools.

We had a great stay with four adults and two small children. Everything was clean and there was plenty of space. It was nice to see deer in the yard in the evenings and the creek was an easy walk down the yard.

The cabin was beautiful and clean, and it's in a great location not far from both Boone and Blowing Rock. The big windows in the kitchen/great room offer sweeping views of the woods outside. The pinball and arcade machines were a blast! Our dog loved the cabin too, but unfortunately for him, it didn't snow while we were there. The only very minor negative I have is the gas fireplace didn't work; so, if you're booking this cabin for the fireplace, you might want to call ahead and see if it's working. With that said, there is a fantastic fire pit outside you can sit around. All in all, a fantastic space, and I highly recommend.

Gate to Paradise was the perfect place for my family and furbabies. It was quiet and had the best scenery. I honestly had nothing to complain about; everything was perfect. Our favorite thing was the sleds that we found under the stairs. We spent a lot of time sliding down the hill; it was so much fun. We definitely plan to come back again and visit.

We came here for our 5th anniversary and had a great time! The only con was that the fireplace didn’t work but it wasn’t a damper on the rest of what was offered. Our favorite part was the hot tub. We saw deer come right up on the property too. This place is private and peaceful. Very spacious house and we loved that it was pet friendly. Next time we would like to come back with the in laws and our kids.

This house was in a great location, with Boone and Blowing Rock easily accessible. The inside of the house very clean, just as pictured, and we felt right at home. The only suggestion we would have is that the outdoor property and furniture be more frequently maintained and cleaned, so that it can be of better use. Overall great though! And BRMR provided fantastic customer service and were easy to contact. They answered all inquiries speedily, the house was ready early, and they provided detailed instructions and recommendations.

This property is located in a central location allowing my family and I to go out for the day and not have to travel too far. From Boone, Grand Father Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Blowing Rock, it's all very close by.
We had a couple of issues with the property but the staff was responsive and communicative.

I was searching for a place for months before we booked and read every review I could prior to booking so my review is very detailed :) This cabin was perfect in every way! It’s set in the cutest gated community and still has so much privacy. We had deer right outside the house the first morning and my kids loved that! We didn’t have a far drive to Grandfather mountain so we hiked that one day with the kids and dog. Hawksnest tubing was fun for the kids and also a short drive. The cabin itself had everything we were looking for when booking. The house was decorated so nicely for Christmas with a tree and garland (exactly as seen in photos) The game room had a pullout bed and bathrooom along with an Xbox! We couldn’t get the pinball machine to work but we already expected that based off the reviews. The gas fireplace was perfect!!!! We never used the hot tub so I don’t have a review on that. We went 12/22/23-12/27/23 and the weather was in the 40s so although it rained 2 days straight we did not get snow. It literally snowed 2 days after we left!! Blowing Rock was a very short drive so we ate at the Town Tavern a few times and the food was amazing. We also ate at Bella’s in Boone 2x because it was that good. Walmart, Publix and liquor stores are all very close! Just a heads up… if you go over Christmas mostly everything is closed Christmas Eve or closes very early which is to be expected. BOOK THIS CABIN!! You’ll be glad you did!

Location was great to get to the Blue Ridge parkway. Grocery stores were close. Town was easy to get to. Felt very safe. We had so much fun with all the amenities that we did not even turn on the TV. Wonderful stay, super clean house, really wonderful location which was close to everything, yet hidden away. You felt like you were in your own private forest once at the home. Our only suggestion for improvement is to ensure the 3rd bedroom only having a sleeper sofa is more cleared outlined for others. Our family member found it a bit uncomfortable but that is our only area of opportunity for the home. Would stay again.

It rained almost the entire time we were there, so this spacious cabin gave us plenty of space to relax and stay dry. The place overall is a bit dark inside, but the view through the large wall of windows was so beautiful, especially when the sun finally came out. The area is perfect for leisurely walks, with a nearby pasture that almost always had deer grazing. We would recommend this property to anyone who is visiting this area.

Overall this house was great. It had the right amount of privacy, a beautiful layout inside the house, and was close to Boone, Blowing Rock, and a few of the other area attractions. Communication was clear and easy. Just a few points of feedback - 1) non-working indoor fireplace 2) pinball machine was short lived as the balls disappeared after a few plays 3) no foosball balls so had to use a ping pong ball 4) white flourescent ligtbulbs in the high ceilings could be improved by using a warmer light for better atmosphere 5) Felt some sandiness in the downstairs bed. Combining this with the fact that we didn't have to strip the beds leads one to believe that the sheets may not always be washed

Although the house is only 2 BR with a bonus/game room, the place had ample room to relax. Place was clean and ready for us. Hot tub was working great. and really only about 10-15 minutes to get to Boone or Blowing Rock. Communication with manager was excellent. We recommend this place.

This cabin was a nice little mountain hideaway that was still closely located to Boone, snow tubing at Hawksnest and other activities. Although our trip was a quick one we enjoyed hanging at the cabin, cooking in the kitchen and the hot tub. Will definitely be back.

House was clean on arrival and everything was as described. Christmas decorations were already up which gave the property an even warmer, holiday atmosphere. The oldest child had fun in the game room. Minor inconvenience that the original lock code did not work and needed to call to get another code but it was resolved within 5 minutes.

This cabin was perfect for escaping to the High Country for a long weekend. Centrally located between Boone and Blowing Rock, but completely private - we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend, and will defiantly return.

This is a beautiful, spacious home in a magical setting. The homeowners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Great location as well. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and video games. We also enjoyed the visiting deer and turkeys. It was a pleasure dealing with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Gait to Paradise. The homeowners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub and video games, except we were disappointed we couldn't get the pinball game to work. Location is great and very dog friendly! We would definitely stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious and comfortable. With two couples it is a perfect weekend retreat. Super close to Boone if you want to get down into town, but quiet and secluded if you want to stay at the house. The house is incredibly well equipped with everything you need for cooking/grilling at the house. Probably the best setup I have seen in a rental property. Wonderful local recommendations for food, hiking, etc. come with the house to keep you busy. Will certainly return if we find ourselves back up near Boone!

The pinball machine was awesome. My kids must have played it 1000 times. A true classic that has been missed by younger generations. The driveway is steep and would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive in snowy and icy conditions but we didn't have that issue in August. Will definitely visit again soon.

This is one of the best properties we have ever stayed in stateside and abroad. We will definitely place this among our top 5 preferred properties. Only negative is that we had to clean off the deck and uncover and clean deck furniture when we arrived. A mouse jumped out and nearly scared me to death (lol). Didn't use the hot tub. Also bathroom rugs needed cleaning. Other than those minor details I would definitely recommend to others. In fact planning on reserving for a visiting the fall.

Straight forward and simple. There were no charges later tacked on, the property itself was awesome. Most importantly, information regarding check in and out was promptly communicated on time and very clear. I was even able to communicate with their office very easily during the stay to have random questions answered.

Bedrooms were graciously sized and bathrooms were well configured. Driving distance to Boone/Blowing Rock was very reasonable but be prepared for some windy roads. Overall, I would highly recommend.

Great location, great cabin. Struggled to get the outside garbage can emptied. A lot of miscommunication on when it’s emptied and who does it but ours was full on arrival and had no space for garbage all week. Other than that, fantastic week in gait to paradise

Our family of 4 loved Gait to Paradise! It had everything we needed. The kids loved the gameroom, and we enjoyed the fire, firepit and gorgeous wall of windows. We hiked the stream and saw lots of deer. Would definitely recommend!

The management firm was responsive to our requests for wifi. The unit was extremely clean. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed. The fall decorations gave an inviting atmosphere. Beds were good. Lots of soft touches - nightlights, handwash, good towels, etc.
