We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The host was able to accommodate our request after another cabin cancelled us same day.
Highlights: the cabin is spacious, has a large dining table, is spotless clean, has so many puzzles, has a mud room, has a hot tub and overall is beautiful. We loved that the temperature was able to be set by us (we keep running into cabins that auto set their temps leaving a freezing cabin the whole trip)... but not here. We got snow with the beautiful mountains views.
Things to know: Drive way is steep. During the winter it is snowed over but iced under. 4x4 trucks were able to make it up and down with some difficulty but I would not suggest any other vehicles try to go down without chains or cables. There is no where to park along the street.
Suggest to add to cabin: a shuffleboard near the entrance upstairs (near the long stair case). Adding some mats for boots in the mud room, a spinning mop for the mud room, boot dryer, 1 hair dryer at least.

The property was perfect for our family vacation. We had a wide range of ages with us from 6 months to 83 years and the property accommodated everyone’s needs. We can’t wait to visit again.

Beautiful home. Well equipped and plenty of room for our extended family. Definitely recommend. My only comment is that the gravel driveway needs to be filled in. A huge puddle sits in the middle and it's hard to keep mud from tracking in the house. Overall, wonderful stay!!

The house Firefly Springs was great. Enjoyed our time except for the weather. Rainy. However, one issue was the front door entry had a massive mud hole which was not great for bringing in luggage and groceries. Our cars had to park near or in it The front door rug (white) took a beating. But that being said, the home was nicely appointed. We saw a Bear walk across the property and a buck. I'm certain the mud puddle issue will be addressed for future guests. I love Blue Ridge mountain Rentals. We have stayed in many of their homes throughout the years! Thank you once again.

We rented this cabin for our wedding party and had high expectations that this location would make the wedding weekend special. Firefly Springs Estates did not disappoint! This cabin is spacious, well equipped for hosting a party in both the kitchen and communal areas. The host allowed us to do the rehearsal dinner on site which was such a great experience! We are looking forward to booking it again for an anniversary trip to get our whole wedding party back together! The only area for improvement would be to improve the drive was as the loose dirt and gravel became very muddy and can easily make the front entrance areas very dirty without constant cleaning. The rug at the main entrance is also white I would change it out since the gravel drive way keeps it dirty other than that fantastic property!

Our home was beautiful! Booking was easy and we had everything we needed. I responded to an email early in our stay about not having something and it was unexpectedly brought to our door (it was not an urgent item.) I would recommend it again and again.

We stayed for 4 nights in Feb 2025 with 4 families (19 people) at Firefly Springs at Eagles Nest. I've stayed at a lot of vacation rentals, but this was definitely one of the nicest! The layout is perfect for multiple families (kids ranged from 9-15). Plenty of room for the adults to cook and hang out on the main level and the kids had a blast in the basement. Location is about 15 min from Beech Mtn Resort. We had some beautiful snow which was great but we were sad that we didn't get the enjoy the amazing outdoor amenities the house and community had to offer. We might have to go back in the spring! Regarding the snow - having AWD/4WD is definitely a must for the house's driveway and the community. We were snowed in one day when it snowed all day - we had AWD vehicles but no chains. Luckily the house had plenty of room for everyone to still enjoy the day. During that day, there was a plow running continuously through the neighborhood and a plow did come to the driveway the next day once it stopped snowing. Communication with Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals was excellent - any questions we had were promptly answered. Highly recommend Firefly Springs at Eagles Nest and book directly through Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals.

This is our fourth year coming back to Eagles Nest for Labor Day weekend and this is certainly the nicest house that we've had the pleasure of staying at. We are four couples and four teenagers and we all had plenty of rooms and bathrooms here at Firefly Springs… in fact, we had an extra bedroom for The teenager who won the poker game that night! Everything from the kitchen and state-of-the-art appliances to the massive decks and amazing hot tub was top notch! We even had a power outage, but the generator kept us in business. If you're reading this… Please don't book it for Labor Day weekend next year - We would love to stay again!

Our recent stay at Firefly Springs was nothing short of spectacular. The new home has all the amenities a large group will need for their mountain getaway. The large king bedrooms with ensuite baths were perfect for our group of 6 couples. We made use of the fully stocked kitchen- both refrigerators and the wine fridge- and maximized time outside on the deck watching Olympic coverage while taking advantage of the cooler mountain temps. Our group traveled in from Arizona and Charlotte, and it was so refreshing to wake up to 60-degree mornings with a cup of coffee in front of one of the fireplaces. The Eagles Nest amenities are second to none in the area- we caught a great concert at great camp and played pickle ball. It was another fabulous trip up the mountain, and we couldn't recommend Firefly Springs more.

My first trip to the mountains of North Carolina was highlighted with an amazing stay at Firefly Springs. The house and its accommodations exceeded the description in so many ways. As someone that enjoys cooking, the kitchen was truly an experience as it had the best of the best and everything I needed to make meals for the group. I also loved the nearby East and West Trails to hike daily. The design and layout of the home and the games and available entertainment were perfect for creating new memories. Finally, the view off the back porches were a relaxing way to start and end each day. I imagine it's even better in the fall months. I look forward to returning to Firefly Springs.

Had a great time staying at Firefly Springs in Banner Elk! We had a large group but it never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything was very clean, beds were comfortable and the view out of each bedroom was great to wake up to. Trees were planted and well kept so you couldn't see the neighbors out the back and felt a bit more secluded. There are two parks close by if you have young kids. Good wifi if you need to work or do video calls. Will definitely be coming back!

It was lovely to cook in the spacious kitchen and still be part of the crew in the living room. We had such fun with the pool table and air hockey table downstairs.
