We enjoyed our stay at Farallon cabin! The well appointed cabin is very comfortable and quiet, with nice views from the porch! Very quiet and peaceful. We even enjoyed a couple of visitors during our stay! The drive up the mountain is a bit winding, so be prepared. We loved the serenity, peace and quiet and true cabin in the woods feel. It is pretty remote and the need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle is an absolute must especially if there is snow.

The property was beautiful! It offers a great view of the rising sun over the mountains during the winter months. We chose this property because it is close to Beech Mountain and its activities. The owner provided family games; however, after a day of activity in the mountains, my kids were too tired to play them. The property has everything you need to make a quick meal. The driveway is very steep and close to the edge of the downslope, and the property is in the mountains. I brought my SUV and managed to get around, but we had no snow or ice storms during our stay. I recommend checking the Beech Mountain weather and getting chains put on tires if going during a snow or ice event. Helene wiped out some bridges, so you will have to transverse over detour dirt roads, and your car will get muddy. We did not try out the hot tub, but we did enjoy the wrap-around porch and loved that we could bring our dog.

They allowed a same day check in after another company in the area messed up our reservation and forced us to leave the cabin with our 2 toddlers and handicapped grandparents. Very responsive and accommodating. Place was as described with a great view, quiet, cozy, large open windows, fireplace, hot tub, etc.

This was a cozy cabin in the woods with beautiful views. The fire place was perfect for the cold nights. Definitely would recommend AWD or 4x4 vehicle. The driveway is a bit steep and slippery when it rained. Also the road getting to the property is under construction, and not the easiest to traverse. This house was worth the drive!

Check in was great and easy, the cabin was clean, the hot tub was working and great! Everything was very enjoyable about our stay! You will need an SUV or 4WD to get to this cabin but we had no issues in my SUV. We went to the Land of Oz and it was a simple drive to Beech Mountain!

We had a great stay with a family of 6. Lots of windows and a great back porch to enjoy watching nature. We were even able to watch the animals while soaking in the hot tub. Short trip to enjoy some of the waterfalls nearby.

This may be an older cabin but you will not find a cleaner one. Blue Ridge is awesome communicator. Weber grill on deck, classic older style jacuzzi 4 person hot tub on deck, two couches and nice fireplace. Only one neighbor about 4 acres away. Very private. Amazing sunrises and Mountain View's from deck and living room. Loaded kitchen. Perfect for weekend. Hike from the home to the top of mountaintop- about .3 miles. Cons: no yard. Home on slope. Small driveway that required 4x4, 25 mins from any stores, one lane road to home (arrive in daylight only). Pro Tip- go to Kettle Brewery in Banner Elk - place is a dive but awesome brew. We will be back to this home.

This location was my favorite Air BNB to date. So quiet and peaceful and so well kept. They recommended a 4x4 vehicle which I'm glad we listened to because there is a lot of climbing and gravel but so worth all of it. It was the perfect place to getaway and totally relax!

Wonderful experience! The cabin is cozy, very pretty and has everything you need. Feels very secluded in the woods, but close to Boone and lots of great hiking trails. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the hot tub was clean and ready to use. The only minor gripe is that the shower curtain was mildewed and the towels smelled like cigarettes, but everything else was immaculate. The grill was broken but kitchen well supplied. We will definitely recommend and will be back!

We had a great stay at Farallon! This cabin was absolutely perfect for us (two couple family), and we enjoyed the scenic drive up the mountain with plentiful wildlife. We had a bear attempt to get in our empty trash can one morning at 3 am, so believe when they tell you not to leave food in your vehicle. By the way, 4 wheel drive is a must! The cabin was exactly what we wanted! I had a hard time finding a cabin that would accommodate our husky, family with kids, and a hot tub. This one checked all the boxes and did not disappoint. Yes, the road is a doozie to get up to the cabin but honestly that was one of our favorite parts. The ducks, deer, turkeys, chickens, were always out to greet our car as we traveled to the cabin and the kids loved it. The house was clean, kitchen was well stocked (could use a few more dinner plates) beds were cozy, view was amazing in the morning and evening. We even saw flurries in March! Also want to note this house SMELLED CLEAN. I have been in rentals that had an odor or felt musty. This one DID NOT. We traveled from the NC beach to the mountains and will travel back to this same house again. Thank you for the get away! Outings we took and I recommend: Alpine Coaster, Linville Caverns & Otter Falls

Once we arrived, our stay was perfect. Beautiful cabin with breathtaking views. However, you will definitely need chains / 4WD if there is snow or ice. Nettles Ridge is treacherous without proper equipment and the driveway is equally sketchy and no way to turn a car around except at the first landing.
NOTE to Owner: 2nd Bedroom fan is very noisy and should be replaced.
Other than that, again, the cabin is beautiful. Would rent again in a second! Bravo!

The check in/lockbox process was easy and we were pleased when we arrived and saw how clean and beautiful the home was. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub and the porch with view for morning coffee. We loved the fireplace too; it made it so cozy. Our only issue was that we had added firewood to our contract and there was no firewood. We had bought some long burn logs on the way up to add but ended up using only them for the first two nights before the wood was able to be delivered. I did email the property manager and got a swift reply. In the future I would just pick up a couple bundles at the nearby gas station to make sure you have it so you can enjoy the fireplace as much as possible. We loved our trip and too soon it was time to go home! Looking forward to another stay at Farallon soon!

We stayed at the Farallon Cabin for a long 4-day weekend for a girls' trip, and had such an amazing time. The cabin was clean and cozy, and perfect for our group of four. The kitchen was well stocked for our home cooked meals, and it was just a perfect stay. It was a 20 minute drive just to get to the house from the bottom of the mountain so we were grateful that we had everything we needed and didn't have to venture out much. If you are planning on going out to eat or go sightseeing, be prepared to factor an extra 20 minutes into your travels. All in all, it was the best place for our group to stay and we had an amazing time. We slept so well in the comfy beds, had nice showers with the great water pressure, and relaxed in the hottub and on the couches under cozy blankets. We will def use blue ridge mountain rentals again!

The property feels very isolated and is quite the experience up the mountain to reach it. But overall the cabin had everything my family of 4 needed for a last minute weekend away. We enjoyed the views, the quiet and the hot tub.

My wife and I decided kind of last minute to take a weekend getaway in the mountains with some friends, and this cabin was perfect for what we wanted. It's very secluded (no neighbors in site), clean, cozy, and very well stocked. It takes approximately 15 minutes to get up the mountain, but it is a lovely drive and we did not mind it at all. Easy to find if you just follow google maps. There are some attractions and stores relatively near by (20ish minutes) and about 30 minutes from countless beautiful hikes with waterfalls, amazing views, wildlife, etc. We would 100% stay here again.

It's very secluded (no neighbors in site), clean, cozy, and very well stocked. It takes approximately 15 minutes to get up the mountain, but it is a lovely drive and we did not mind it at all. Easy to find if you just follow google maps. There are some attractions and stores relatively near by (20ish minutes) and about 30 minutes from countless beautiful hikes with waterfalls, amazing views, wildlife, etc. We would 100% stay here again.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, the hot-tub was nice, the house was clean & comfortable. Just some small things: A lot of cigarette butts in the driveway, centipedes that got into the house and had to be cleaned up off the floor, no yard--as in NONE.
Annoying, but overall, those things didn't make a huge impact on us. The driveway leaves a lot to be desired. Yes, it is on the side of the mountain, but another foot of clearance would be HUGE !

We stayed at Farallon, it was way up the mountain so the views were wonderful. The house is very nice and cozy. Wonderful fireplace. We ended up having snow so going in the hottub while it was snowing was great. So peaceful. The only concern was the driveway. Very steep and single lane, so we had to reverse out. Other than that it was a great house to stay in.

We rented Farallon cabin for a long weekend getaway. The property was everything we hoped for it to be… clean, up to date, well equipped. The driveway is tight and steep, so if there is snow you definitely need 4wd. The road leading to the cabin is also very steep with tight turns. We had a fabulous vacation, it was just not long enough!

This was our anniversary vacation away from FL to NC. THE CABIN was amazing. It does take about 15min from the main road to get to the cabin but worth the bumpy road. It is furnished with everything you need plus more. The views are from the top of the mountain are great. We enjoyed the hot tub. It is such a cozy, romantic ambient. There are plenty of cooking supplies for every kind of dish. Cabin is very clean although I would recommend to have the fans cleaned more often. If you like to have a fire in the cabin, buy wood. We loved spending time at the Sugar Mountain ski resort. It is about 25min drive from the cabin. I cannot express how much fun this cabin was. We spent one of the days in the cabin all day watching tv and cooking, walking up the hill...and just felt perfect. The cabin was clean and ready for us to check in at noon. That helped so much since we had driven for a long time. Thankful to everyone involved in making our anniversary memorable. We'd love to visit again.

My wife and I rented a cabin with Blue Ridge Cabin Rentals for our anniversary and it was one of the best times of our marriage. The cabin was peaceful, had a wonderful view of mountains and trees, and the staff was incredibly helpful with every question we had, including whether or not we could make it up the mountain with our FWD sedan. The cabin itself was clean with many kitchen appliances, a grill, a hot tub, and a fire pit as well as plenty of room inside for the price. We even saw a bear and her bear cubs running around one night while we were staying there. We absolutely intend to rent the cabin again in the future.

If you like to explore there are a couple little paths/roads you can follow to the very top of the mountain. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed and wanted from the fire place to the hot tub to make our stay feel more like home! My husband, the dog and I stayed at the Farallon for 6 days and it was AMAZING! The fireplace, fire-pit and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The house is beautiful with lots of room and a very open floor plan and tons of windows to enjoy the view. The beds are very soft with ample pillows and blankets. Lots of dresser and closet space to unpack and feel right at home. There isn't a keurig machine so bring coffee filters to make coffee by the pot. The kitchen is very well stocked with flatware, utensils, pots, pans, bakeware, blender, crockpot, and everything you would need to cook and bake. Make sure to pack storage containers, ziplock bags and such for any left-overs. Also bring condiments, unfortunately I forgot and had to run out to the market for ketchup, mayonnaise, butter, etc :-( Our stay was the beginning of April so there were no leaves on the trees, you can see the rooftop of a few homes but really there was no one around. In the 6 days we were there we did not see a single person. We took hikes around the area and it was so peaceful and beautiful. Watauga County has strict leash laws and there are several farms in the area so please do not let your pet run off leash, it would be very easy for them to get into trouble. You definitely need a 4wd or AWD vehicle to get to the property. We did have to call maintenance on Saturday morning for a pretty bad faucet leak and they came right out and fixed it, I was really surprised at how fast they showed up for a Saturday morning [very professional]. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

We stayed at Faralllon for our honeymoon, it was my first time in the mountains of NC. The home has beautiful architecture, all wood interior, a lovely home. Everything we could have had asked for was included, the hot tub being a great feature, in fact we came home and ordered one! The cabin is in Valle Crusis, about a 30 minute drive up the hills from Boone, very secluded, with no other homes visible. We had worked hard to organize my Citizenship, our Marriage and Honeymoon, and this was the perfect retreat. You have to check out the Bue Ridge Parkway with it's many overlooks and beautiful scenery, also be sure to go up Grandfather Mountain, you will remember it forever! Check out the Mast General Store and Over Yonder Restaurant, where the food is excellent, it is not what I would could cheap eating, but the prices are very reasonable for the standard of menu offered. It also has outside seating for the warmer weather. Boone is a busy place, and Blowing Rock is lovely with it's quaint little businesses selling a wide variety of local products. We will definitely go back, maybe on one of our Anniversaries!

We stayed at Faralllon for our honeymoon, it was my first time in the mountains of NC. The home has beautiful architecture, all wood interior, a lovely home. Everything we could have had asked for was included, the hot tub being a great feature, in fact we came home and ordered one! The cabin is in Valle Crusis, about a 30 minute drive up the hills from Boone, very secluded, with no other homes visible. We had worked hard to organize my Citizenship, our Marriage and Honeymoon, and this was the perfect retreat. You have to check out the Bue Ridge Parkway with it's many overlooks and beautiful scenery, also be sure to go up Grandfather Mountain, you will remember it forever! Check out the Mast General Store and Over Yonder Restaurant, where the food is excellent, it is not what I would could cheap eating, but the prices are very reasonable for the standard of menu offered. Just returned from a great stay in the mountains. Near the rental cabin, there is an animal sanctuary with rabbits, ducks, donkey, lama, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, and yes a cute watch dog. Love visiting Grandfather mountain where we saw three bears and two otters. Great restaurants. We will return next year.

The perfect place for a well needed vacation! After a busy year of hard work, NC has always been our winter spot to stop and unwind. The turn into this little community put big smiles on our faces as we caught a glimpse of this home. The views are incredible. Everything was set-up comfortably, almost like we live here. We had a wonderful time playing in the snow, taking pictures, watching all the deer and just relaxing by the fire. We are so glad we found this cabin and so happy you were able to share it with us. Love. Love. Love this place..... We had snow on the first day and ended up warm and sunny on our last two days. We love the cabin. We love the location - and the privacy of farallon. This cabin has everything you need - a great fire pit outside...and great view from the porch - we will be back!!!

This a great hideaway on top of the mountain. We had a wonderful week in this cozy cabin. The cabin had everything we needed and some fun games and books. We definitely recommend the fire pit. A quiet retreat from the tourist activity of Boone with all the amenities.
